In this tutorial, you will see the steps required to link your Moticam X2 with your wireless network. In most cases, the MoticHub function in Motic Images Plus 2.0 will be sufficient for networking the Moticam X2, but some users may want a different approach. Caution: After linking the Moticam X2 with the network, you will not be able to directly connect to the Moticam X2. This means that if you are unable to connect to the Moticam X2 through the network for some reason, you will not be able to connect to the Moticam X2 at all, and you will need to press the reset button located up and to the right of the On/Off button. Before proceeding, make sure you have the username and password to get into your router s configuration menu. If you don t have this information, you can t perform this process. You will then find what IP address was assigned to your Moticam X2, so that you may access the Moticam X2 from any device connected to that network. 9) On my router, you click Status then you click the LAN tab in order to find the connected devices to the LAN. The Moticam X shows up on my network as having a Hostname of * and an IP address of 192.168.1.160. The new Moticam X2 will usually show up as MoticamX in the list of connections. Write down the IP address assigned to your Moticam X2.
