project: Heineken / idea: Noir Director's treatment: Zoran Petrovski http://zoki.bg production: Studio Lime LTD http://studio-lime.com and Camera LTD http://camera.bg Introduction(01-03) / Script(04-05) / Production(06) / Look(07) / Location(08-09) Cast(10-11) / End(12) 1 of 12

Dear all, Thank you for the opportunity to pitch for such a great project. We totally understand your concept about the look and feel of the video. Heineken is the most recognizable brand across the top brands in the world. It has it's own style that we are very familiar with. Across the years I've been briefed and worked for different Heineken projects. That's why I really think that I know in depth all of the guidelines that we have to follow. The last video that we made for Heineken is the viral "The Better Halves" which was showed in Ads of the World - the biggest online comunity for advertising. Working for Heineken feels unique itself. The main thing that I've learned is "What is a Heineken man." After that I realized that every Heineken commercial or viral video depends on it. He is our spine and the story is formed all around him. Maybe you all know these things about him but I assure you that the regular viewer doesn't know this. They feel his energy and power. They love him. But they don't know exactly why. I learned that even if he looks like an ordinary guy he is a hidden treasure. He is intelligent, clever and fast thinking. He manages everything with style. He is a James Bond in his own world. He always gets the best girl. He is good looking and modern. We can compare him to the well known over the years - Marlboro Man who has become a phenomenon in advertising. I believe that Heineken has brought to life the 21st century version of him - the Heineken man. My research includes commercials and viral videos like: The Date, The Candidate, The City, The Entrance, The Voyage, The Odyssey etc.. I've watched those videos hundreds of times. I even know how Heineken man walks and smiles like. I know how he should look and how he should pass through every task. 2 of 12

IDEA I like these three ideas. This director's treatment will be for this one: 3 of 12

PRELIMINARY SCRIPT The video will be shot through the Private Eye s point of view with his voice narrating the whole film. He walks in a bar and and walks towards the bartender. While walking he takes a glance over the people in the room. VO - You know that feeling when you re stuck? He takes a sit and looks in a huge mirror behind the bar this is the first time we see the character s face. He is a good looking man in his 30s. The bartender serves him an ice-cold Heineken 8.5. The detective picks up a beer opener and starts playing with it. VO - You re desperately looking for a sign Suddenly he sees a beautiful woman entering the bar. He has a flash back he is chasing someone, he sees the woman tied up to the back of a motorcycle and a masked man starts it and drives away. VO - And eventually you get a sign. Back in the bar the detective decides to follow her as she walks through a back exit. He gets outside on a narrow dark street but instead of the woman he sees two thugs who immediately take him down. VO Wrong sign... He wakes up in a dark room presumably in a warehouse. He has been tied up to a chair in the middle of the room. In a sequence of different shots we see him trying to free his hands from the rope and finally succeeds he pulls the beer opener from his back pocket and manages to cut the rope. VO - Then it s just you. He passes by one of the thugs who has fallen asleep. There is a key holder on the wall behind the thug and the detective carefully approaches to take it. The thug moves and mumbles something but remains asleep. The detective takes the keys. VO - You against it. 4 of 12

He gets out of the dark room and looks around he is on an empty field in the middle of nowhere. There is a car parked in front of the warehouse. He tries the keys on it it works. Detective drives away. VO - It seems you win the game this time. While driving he hears noises coming from the trunk. He stops and opens it. There is the woman from the bar. She is tied up with tape on her mouth. He frees her. They drive to his place. In another fast sequence of shots we see them talking, getting closer to each other, kissing and undressing. She walks into the bathroom. He waits in front of the door and smiles to the mirror next to him. Inside she changes her expression - she looks desperate, she looks at the door and frowns VO - You get the girl. He hears a sound coming from the bathroom. He opens the door and sees an opened window and a message on a mirror written with lipstick. "I was blackmailed. I don't want to hurt you. I m sorry." VO - Wrong again. He feels confused and thinks she only used him. VO - The girl got you. He walks to a board with linked pictures of criminals as well as pictures of the woman and draws a big question mark on a picture above all the others a dark human silhouette. Case won t crack. VO - The game got you. The detective returns to the bar his Heineken is waiting still cold. VO But then fortune gives you another sign At least something s reliable in this crazy city. Heineken 8.5 slim can. Cool to the last drop. 5 of 12

PRODUCTION Particularly for this film, I would be involved as a director and producer, in cooperation with my production company named "Studio Lime" Ltd. We have more than 10 years of experience working in commercial films and TV series. I also made coproductions with the biggest production company in Bulgaria - "Camera" LTD. With their help I can use unlimited professional film equipment without any restrictions. Depends on the project I can have ARRI Alexa or ARRI D21, I can use Movi with Backmagic 4k and also if I have some special effect shots I can use Phantom High speed camera. In short if a regular person wants to rent all that equipment he will have to pay at least 6000$ just for the cameras. I want to work on a project like this just to have it in my showreel. Every time I've worked on Tongal I invest the pitch award and the last place video award so if I finished last I will not loose anything but my own time. At the same time I hope that I will make a great video for my showreel. Camera LTD has successfully created literally thousands of commercials, many featured films, and it is also involved in the creation of the top 4 TV series on the Balkans. I've been working with them for the past 5 years. We were positioned in top 3 Crime TV series on IMDB with " UNDERCOVER " series, together with Breaking Bad, Sherlock Holmes, The Sopranos and Dexter. In our work we constantly strive to deliver the highest quality films as it should be for a project such as this. This video should look like a film. Thats why I will shoot most shots with ARRI ALEXA and some of the shots with Blackmagic 4k on a movi steadycam. These are the best digital cameras that will provide us with a real film look. I will build strong suspense scenes and tension in the characters eyes. I will record a professional VO that will narrate the story. I will propose all locations for approval and if you choose to work with me I will submit a detailed storyboard so we can imagine this film in greater details before it is actually shot. 6 of 12

LOOK We will accomplish professional film look. Picture with film gran. Professional film editing. In my crew I have people with great experience who have worked on lots of A films. I work with a proven art director and props master and professional custom designer. For this project I will work with Alexander Stanishev my college DOP, who has just finished a Spike Lee produced film. 7 of 12

LOCATION 1. We will start in an old fashion bar or pub, with wooden interior. It's going to look authentic like a bar with history behind it. 2. Stone pavers street. 8 of 12

3. Old warehouse 4. Car 5. His place - an artistic looking, cozy apartment 9 of 12

CASTING Minding the fact that this is a first person film the camera will be the main actor. We will see just one face in the mirror two or tree times but most of the time the film will be from subjective point of view. 10 of 12

This is the girl that I have in mind for this project. 11 of 12

This film will be quite a challenge, which of course is where the fun comes in. These are only my initial thoughts based on your project brief. I will be happy to develop them much further. I hope you see the potential in our proposal and I believe we can create one successful and unforgettable film. Thank you for your time Zoran Petrovski 12 of 12
