Digital cameras With their superior resolution, Gatsometer s digital traffic cameras clearly identify vehicle licence plates over multiple lanes, with facial identification and automatic number plate recognition if required. Cameras may be set up locally or remotely using Gatsometer s Camera Interface Tool (CIT) via suitable communications such as ADSL, ISDN, wireless, fibre optic or Wi-Fi. For simultaneous red light and speed monitoring of up to four lanes, Gatsometer s flexible 12-bit digital multi-camera system combines optional video event recording to provide supporting evidence if required. Captured images, simultaneously combining both the offence and offence data, are compressed to international banking standards. Images are automatically and securely transmitted from the remote site to the control room via suitable communications media such as ISDN or ADSL. Poles or gantries For roadside use, pole-mounted cameras offer great flexibility as the equipment can be rotated between poles; hinged or up-down poles allow easy access to the camera head or equipment. For trouble-free image recognition on motorways or multiple-lane roads, cameras may also be gantry-mounted above each traffic lane. Detection for all applications From proven loop detectors and advanced slotted wave radar to gantry-mounted parabolic radar, Gatsometer provides a range of detection technologies for all locations and enforcement applications. Where in-road sensors cannot be used, our unique non-invasive detection, using loopless trigger radar, provides the answer. Modular technology Gatsometer s modular approach to design ensures that camera systems can be configured to meet the most demanding traffic enforcement requirements of international municipal and police authorities. Prevention As a cost effective alternative to populating all speed or red light camera sites with working cameras, Gatsometer supplies dummy equipment that is rotated in use with the genuine systems. The dummy equipment flashes and records speed, but captures no images, combining a useful deterrent with the provision of statistics. Processing Images and data captured with Gatsometer digital cameras are easily downloaded for viewing on computer via suitable communications media using Gatsometer software. A user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) also provides control of camera functions and settings. Images may also be processed ready for issue of the offence notice using Gatsometer s innovative software, which interfaces with all Gatsometer offence viewers.
