Please charge for atleast 6 hours. Charge overnight the first time. Now, download the files you will need to setup your product. Page 4
BEFORE YOU START - TIME STAMP Now, use Windows Explorer (the file explorer, not the internet browser), or the Mac Finder to locate your watch. When you plugged it in, your computer automatically connected to it. In this example in Windows, the DVR appears as REMOVABLE DISK E: Your removable disk letter will vary. Keep in mind what the location is for the next step. Your Watch (drive letter may vary) From the TECH SUPPORT tab of your Product Page... Do not change the file name, it must be TIME.TXT. Page 5
5 TIME FILE Your DVR (drive letter may vary) The TIME.TXT file in proper location Save the TIME.TXT to the location shown. Now, you are going to set the timestamp for your watch. Please note: some computers may not show the.txt of the file name. This is normal. Page 6
SET THE TIMESTAMP DOUBLE-CLICK (left button) on the TIME.TXT file on your watch. A text editor window will appear. Please adjust the year, month, day, hours, minutes and seconds to your current date and time. Very important that you maintain the format. If you change it by accident, please return it to original format, or just re-save time file if you dont remember! Also note the use of a 24 hour clock format. In above example we have: November 01, 2013 at 11:59 am and 59 seconds. 2013(period)11(period)01(SPACE)11(colon)59(colon)59 When complete, SAVE this file and exit your text editor and unplug your watch. The next time you turn on your HOOK DVR, the time file will be absorbed and time adjusted. NOTE: At this point, we highly recommend you do a test video to make sure time stamp was successful. Page 7
