Register online now for faster access If you re an officer of your company, you can self-register for EmployerAccess online using the instructions in this guide. Once you re registered, you can manage access to your EmployerAccess website to suit your needs. Just follow these step-by-step instructions to get started. Make sure you have your six-digit base Case number and tax ID. You ll need this information. First-time self-registration for EmployerAccess 1 Start by going to the Employer Portal log-in page https://employer1.anthem.com/wps/portal/ eeaemployer and selecting Click here to sign up. 1 2 Enter your Case Number and click on the Register Now button. 2 2 of 10
3 Enter required information. Next to user type, Group Administrators select Employer. (Note: You may add access for agents and brokers later.) If you want to be designated as the Site Administrator, check the Site Administrator box. This allows you to add or disable additional users for your group, including your broker. An employer group can have up to five site administrators. You will also be able to reset passwords for the other users. 3 4 Next, you ll see the Internet Authorization Agreement page. Please read through the Usage Agreement and accept the terms, enter your electronic signature and select Continue. Company A Case Name Case Number Company A 4 3 of 10
5 Now you ll select your user ID, enter your valid email address, and choose your secret question and answer. Once you select Submit, your registration application is complete. Company A 5 6 You can now download or print a copy of the Internet Authorization Agreement for your records. You will be notified via email within the next two to three business days whether your access has been approved. Select Close to go to the EmployerAccess log-in page. 6 4 of 10
7 Enter your user ID and temporary password to log in to EmployerAccess. 7 8 You ll be prompted to change your temporary password. Please be sure to make note of the new password you select. 8 5 of 10
9 You ll then receive a confirmation screen showing the new password has been set. Select Continue to proceed to EmployerAccess. 9 10 Next, click Select to continue to the EmployerAccess overview page. 10 Look in this box for important EmployerAccess updates. 6 of 10
11 You are now ready to view eligibility, process transactions and more. Site Administrators have additional permissions. If you are a Site Administrator, begin by clicking on the Admin tab, which other users will not have access to. Please note: Your screen display may vary depending on your level of access. 11 12 Adding and deleting users On the Admin page, you can add a new user (such as another employee) or delete an existing user. Select Add New User. 12 7 of 10
13 For view-only access, select Yes next to Inquiry Only. To allow editing privileges, select No. Inquiry only access means this user will be able to view membership, request ID cards and perform online group billing functions only. 13 For groups with online group billing, if you want to limit which invoices the user can view, select Specific Bill Entities. Otherwise leave as All Bill Entities. Enter the user s information in the required fields. The user will immediately receive an email with a temporary password to log in to EmployerAccess. 14 To remove a user s access, from the Admin page, select Delete next to their user information. A confirmation window will pop up. Select OK. The user will be deleted and will no longer have access to EmployerAccess for your group. 14 8 of 10
15 Giving access to a broker You can give access to a broker who has an existing user ID for EmployerAccess. If your broker doesn t have access, please follow instructions above for Adding and deleting users. Once your broker has a user ID, from the Admin page, select Manage User Access. (Note: Brokers only need one user ID and password to access all of their accounts.) 15 16 Enter the broker s EmployerAccess user ID and email address. 16 9 of 10
17 Select the box next to your case number and then select Submit. The broker will have access to your group through EmployerAccess. 17 That s all there is to it.
