Introduction to FlexPLM 9.1 Overview Course Code TRN-2252-T Course Length 3 Dyas In this course, you will learn how to complete basic FlexPLM functions including how to access and browse in the FlexPLM environment. You will learn how to locate and view product information and how to manage principle business objects such as Seasons, Products, and Colorways. You will gain a high-level understanding of how to find and create the objects in the FlexPLM Library used in day-to-day management of plans, concepts, materials, and product line development data, as required by the FlexPLM user community. You will complete Pro/FICIENCY skills assessment questions for each module. These questions are used to help reinforce your understanding of the course topics and form the basis for daily review sessions. After completing the course, you will be prepared to complete basic FlexPLM tasks and activities, manage product development information, as well as have a better understanding of the FlexPLM system implementation at your company.

Course Objectives Describe FlexPLM principle object types that are specific to footwear and apparel Access and navigate the FlexPLM workspaces Work with search result pages using views and filters Find and manage objects in the FlexPLM libraries Create materials and work with supplied material details Describe seasonal palette associations and manage color palette details Develop seasonal concepts and understand how Season Concept pages are organized Access Seasonal Line plans, line sheets, line board, and presentations in the Season Development pages Set up and manage plans used for individual products Understand seasonal line plan associations to product definitions and product placeholder attributes Create products and product colorways Access product detail pages Understand product and colorway season associations Use the line sheet tool to manage seasonal products and season specific product attributes Use the Line Sheet Editor tools to update multiple products and colorways Define sourcing configurations for products Manage product cost sheets and cost scenarios for multiple product sources Create product specifications and define product sizing Manage specification components such as; images, construction details, measurements and bills of materials Prerequisites Basic browser and Web navigation skills Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes and deliverables as they relate to Seasonal Product Development

Configuring FlexPLM 9.1 Overview Course Code TRN-2253-T Course Length 2 Days In this course, you will learn how to configure FlexPLM to support Retail, Footwear and Apparel business entities. You will gain an understanding of the tools and methodologies used to create a framework for business objects. You will learn how to use the FlexPLM Type Manager to classify Type hierarchies. You will also learn about the different attribute types available for business object characterization. Finally, you will learn the key aspects of configuring the FlexPLM relationships such as: Products, Colorways, Palettes, Colors, Materials, Sourcing Configurations, Cost Sheets, Materials, and Suppliers. The goal of this course is to help you develop an intuitive approach to the application of the tool set used to represent a Retail Footwear and Apparel business within FlexPLM. Other topics include the application of process management via lifecycles, teams, and the implementation of access control using user groups and attribute rules.
