This is good for 30 days after upgrade.] STEP 1: LOGIN NEW BCSD AVAYA AURA MESSAGING VOICEMAIL SETUP FIRST TIME VM SETUP (only) From your classroom/office telephone: Or, press the voice mail button on your phone. From another office telephone: Press * then # and enter your 5-digit extension From outside the building: Dial the Voicemail Access Number. 843-322-2399 Press # when the voicemail system answers. Enter your mailbox number. Or Dial your 7-digit office telephone number When your greeting answers, press * then #. STEP 2: INITIAL MAILBOX SETUP / FIRST TIME USER TUTORIAL **** You will hear your name announced from the system but you must continue through the steps below before checking voicemail for the first time!! **** As a new user, the new Voicemail System will walk you through a tutorial to initialize your mailbox. Follow the provided prompts to set up the following: 1) Enter a New Password. Please use at least 4 or more digits for your password. Press # to save. Trivial passwords, such as 1234 or 4321, pose a danger to the system from hackers. 2) Record your Name Greeting. Press # to save. 3) Record your Personal Greeting. For a Standard greeting, press 1. For Personalize greeting, press 2. Press 2 to begin recording. Press # when recording is finish. The system will ask if you would like to keep this recording by pressing #. Example: Hello, this is Sarah Jones. I am currently out of the office or unavailable to take your call. Please leave a message after the tone, and I will return your call as quickly as possible. Thank you. 4) Exit the voicemail system by pressing *, then * or just hang up. To add more recipients, press 6 To send, press # TO CONFIGURE MAILBOX / RECORD GREETINGS, CHANGE PASSWORD Press 4 for User Preferences (and follow prompts below). 1. Press 3, 1 to record your Personal Greeting. 2. Press 3, 3 to record your Name Greeting. 3. Press 2, 1 to change your Password. TO EXIT MAILBOX Press * to initiate an exit from within your mailbox. USEFUL TIPS / SHORTCUTS TO TRANSFER A CALLER DIRECTLY TO VOICE MAIL (without ringing phone) 1. Place the caller on hold by initiating the transfer process on your phone. 2. Dial the Voicemail access number. 3. Press *, and enter the desired 5-digit extension number. 4. Press transfer button to complete the transfer. While Listening to Messages: Skip Listening and Delete Message Press 3, 3 (fast-forward to end), and 7 (erase). To Access Another User s Mailbox from Your Phone: Dial the Voicemail access number. Press * then #, and enter desired mailbox number. When calling a user and rolling into their mailbox: Bypass Personal Greeting Press # (bypass user s personal greeting) and begin recording your message. When calling a user and rolling into their mailbox: Leave a Message and Dial Another User Press # when finished leaving message, press 1, 1 to send the message, and then press 2 to enter another number. *Message Indicator Light/Deleting Voice Message(s): In order for the Message Indicator Light to go out, you will have to manually login via phone and delete the message one by one. Deleting your voice message(s) from Outlook will no longer turn off the message indicator light. You can check and delete your voice messages(s) by using the Avaya Aura Messaging Web Access portal via a new shortcut on your computer desktop. Or, you can use this link https://voicemail.beaufort.k12.sc.us:10100/ Your Mailbox is your 5-digit extension. Your password is your voicemail password. Your voice message(s) will continue to come as an email with an attachment to your email account.
