Data Sheet DPtech LSW5600 Series DPtech LSW5600 Series Switches Product Interview The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches which are designed for access and aggregation deployment. It is a new-generation line of enhanced IPv6 Layer 3 10-Gigabit switches developed by DPtech. The switches are single rack-unit switches which support up to 48 GE ports and eight 10GE extension ports to meet bandwidth requirements. The LSW5602 Series Switches have abundant service features that also support IPv4/IPv6 hardware dual-stack and wire-speed forwarding so that customers can be reassured that they are able to cope with the coming IPv6 era. Additionally, the excellent security, reliability and multi-service support capability make this switch can be deployed in the access and aggregation layer of large campus networks, as well as the core layer of medium- and small-sized enterprise networks, and the leading-edge layer of Metropolitan Network (MAN). Series The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches include the following models: LSW5602-16GT8GC: 24 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet ports, 8 SFP Gigabit ports (Combo) and two extension slots. Features Advanced Platform Architecture The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches adopt the state-of-the-art hardware platform and architecture, archiving wire-speed performance with all ports. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support up to 256Gbps of the switch capability and up to 8 10GE ports in single rack-unit box. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support multicast routing, IPv6 routing, and access control list in hardware. DPtech VSM (Virtual Switch Matrix) technology is an excellent stacking architecture which virtualizes multiple devices as single logical device. Based-on the VSM technology, the DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches can stack up to 9 units using 10GE ports. All of the stacking switches share a unified data plane and a whole L2/L3 forwarding database. So the stacking LSW5602 switches can deliver higher performance and higher reliability. Multi-Service Support Capability The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches have the very flexible networking capability and support PVLAN, QinQ, VLAN mapping, Voice VLAN etc. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support abundant routing features, including static routing protocol, RIPv1/2, OSPF, BGP, routing policy and policy routing. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support L2~L4 complex flow classification based on the source MAC address, destination MAC address, source IP address, destination IP address, port, protocol or VLAN. It provides flexible queue scheduling modes: Strict Priority (SP), Weighted Round Robin (WRR) and SP+WRR; supports the Committed Access Rate (CAR) function with the minimum granularity of 64 kbps. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support abundant IPv6 L3 routing protocols, multicast protocol, such as RIPng, OSPFv3, IS-ISv6, BGP4+, with which one can upgrade from IPv4 to IPv6 smoothly. The DPtech LSW5602 Series PoE+ Switches support standards-based Power-over-Ethernet (IEEE 802.3at PoE+), power can be delivered to IP phones, wireless access points, networked CCTV cameras and other powered devices. Deployments in converged networks are greatly simplified through dynamic power management of the PoE+ ports, Comprehensive Security Control Policies The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches provide enhanced wire-speed ACL based on the source IP address, the destination IP address, the source TCP/UDP port, the destination TCP/UDP port, and IP protocol, etc. In addition, the LSW5602 series supports the Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding Page 2 of 9
(urpf) to effectively eradicate the ever-increasing phenomenon of source-address spoofing in today s networks. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches supports abundant authentication features, including 802.1X, MAC address authentication, and web-based portal authentication. It enhances the proactive defense capacity of network terminals. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches are able to cooperate with the DPtech TAC(Terminal Access Control) solution that can check the security situation of the access terminals connected to the DPtech LSW5602 Series. It disables the access authority of terminals that fail to meet the security requirements, preventing insecure terminals from endangering the entire network. High Reliability The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches provide equipment-level reliability protection. Such as, all switch models support 1+1 redundancy power supply. They also support fault detection and alarms for power supply and fans, and can automatically adjust the speed of fans according to temperature changes. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches provide link-level reliability protection. Such as, The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support STP/RSTP/MSTP to provide redundant link. And the LSW5602 series support DPtech s Fast Redundant Ring Protocol (FRRP). FRRP is an Ethernet ring-specific link layer protocol that can provide rapid convergence capable of fast convergence time of 50ms. Easy and Intelligent Manageability The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support remote configuration management through the Web mode. Web mode provide real-time status of the switches. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support the unified management of network and equipment through DPtech UMC management system. The DPtech LSW5602 Series Switches support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) v1/v2/v3 and RMON. So the switches can be managed easily by DPtech UMC and other universal NM platforms like Open View.
