Overview Cara Systems CR1010 Series is the next-generation Multiservice Router platform developed by Cara Systems. The router platform has high performance by integrating a 64Bit multi-core processor, a high-speed switching chip and FPGA into one solution. Cara Systems CR1010 series includes models CR1011, CR1012 and CR1013. Based on the models MSRs have 1 or 2 Gigabit WAN ports, 8 Gigabit LAN ports, 4G/LTE modules and USB2.0 ports. CR1010 series provides diversified options for the user. Data sheet
Features and Benefits Operating System Cara Systems CR1010 series are equipped with CSROS operating system. CR1010 builds a real multiservice broadband platform by providing rich software functions such as routing, switching, security and VPN. With its strong processing and expansion capability, rich software functions and hardware modules, Cara Systems CR1010 MSR series meet requirements of the government, finance companies, operators and enterprises in network construction. High Performance Cara Systems CR1010 series are driven by the 64Bit dual-core processor with specialized gigabit ASIC switching chip and FPGA components, which enables the whole hardware platform to run on the highspeed Ethernet frame. The innovative design endows MSR with a super processing capability, providing a guarantee for upper-layer software functions. Strong Expansion Ability Built on the basics of switching core, MSR router can expand their external interfaces, slots and modules without any limitation from the total CPU resources. The switching chip guarantees that the whole MSR router is provided with sufficient and broadband internal channels, making the expansibility of MSR routers exceed that of traditional modularized routers. Energy Saving Cara Systems CR1010 series adopt the new-generation hardware chip in consideration of energy saving while guaranteeing its strong processing capacity. Compared with the mainstream devices in the industry, power consumption of the MSR router is reduced by 15% to 20%, which reduces the device maintenance cost. Cara Systems CR1010 series series are also equipped with the environment friendly maglev mute fan. Varied Protocols CR1010 series supports Layer 2 link protocols including HDLC, PPP and Dot1q, static routing and dynamic routing such as RIP, OSPF and BGP. Routing protocols are compatible with the devices manufactured by the mainstream vendors in the industry. CR1010 series supports policy routing. CR1010 series supports integration of multiple services such as routing, switching, voice, security and wireless, which meets the requirement of complicated network construction. New Services CR1010 series supports the MPLS and the MPLS-Based Layer-2 Layer-3 VPN ptotocols, which realize the transparent Ethernet transmission service and the flexible enterprise interconnection. CR1010 supports IPv6 data forwarding, routing protocols and multicast routing protocols. CR1010 supports the IPv4/IPv6 protocol stack and the interconnection technology, which makes the existing networks smoothly upgrade to IPv6. Data sheet Page 2
Features and Benefits Secure Service Access CR1010 series support selective ACL firewall filters, NAT, VPN such as IPSec, L2TP, PPTP, GRE, and security protocols AAA, Radius, PAP/CHAP. Traffic Management Policy CR1010 series support various queues, FIFO, PQ, CQ, CBWFQ, LLQ, WFQ, DSCP, IP Precedence, RTS, RSVP and CAR. CR1010 series support self-developed traffic control and service management policy (GBSC), which can apply better real-time process and monitoring data traffic. Flexible Management and Maintenance CR1010 series are convenient in managing and monitoring the network by using the in-band and outband management tools, Console, Telnet, SSH and SNMP. VPN Networking With the internet access has become more and more indispensable in off-bank ATMs, outdoors and cars, the advantage of 3G and 4G is emerging. Cara Systems CR1010 Series adapts 3G or 4G link aggregation technique combining with VPN encryption configurations, providing a convenient and safe network for the user. Data sheet Page 3
