Accessing the Admin Prtal T access the Admin Prtal, lg in t Chalkable Classrm. Select the user name in the upper right crner and select G T Admin Prtal. Nte: Users must als have Classrm Maintain Classrm permissin t access the Chalkable link in the upper right hand crner f InfrmatinNOW. The fllwing screen will display: Grade Levels: Grade levels fr the district will display at the tp f the feed. Select a grade level t filter the feed t the selected grade level. Feed: Use the Feed tab t view a list f items fr the selected grade level. New Item: Use the New Item tab t send a grup annuncement. Chalkable Study Center users may als mass assign an assessment t students frm the New Item tab. Assessment: Chalkable Study Center users can access the Assessment tab t create a new assessment r view Scheduled, My Assessments r Questin Bank. Classes: Access the Class Prfile page t view feed, grades, attendance and ther infrmatin fr sectins f which they are nt necessarily the teacher. Peple: View lists f students. Settings: Set permissins fr messaging alng with setup ptins fr assessment, panrama views and reprt cards. Send Mass Annuncements A Chalkable Administratr may send annuncements t a specific grup f Chalkable users/students. T create a new annuncement, select the New Item tab. Add Recipients T add ne r mre students, select the + sign. Students can be added using the My Students, All Students r Grups tab r a cmbinatin f all three tabs. My Students Tab The My Students tab will display by default. T send a message t ne r mre students, select them frm the list r chse All t select all students n the list. Srt By: Chse t srt by First Name r Last Name. Schl: Select a schl t filter the list t students frm a specific schl. Grade: Select a grade level t filter the list t students frm a specific grade level. Class: Select a class t filter the list t students frm a specific class. Prgram: Selecta prgram t filter the list t students frm a specific prgram. T select a single student, chse the circle t the left f their name. T select all students in the list chse All. The number f selected students will display t the right. Once all students are selected, chse Add. All Students Tab Users with apprpriate permissins can view all students frm the All Students tab. Fllw the same steps t search, srt, filter and select students as utlined in the My Students Tab sectin beginning n page 3 f this guide. Grups Tab Grups can be created t easily send multiple annuncements t the same grup f students. On the Grups tab, a list f exiting grups will display alng with the number f participants. T select a grup t receive the annuncement, chse the grup. Chse All t select all f the grups frm the available list. T edit an existing grup, chse the arrw t the right f the grup name. Enter a name in the Grup Name field. Use the My Students r All Students tab t select students wh are t be a part f the grup. Use the Selected tab t view r edit the list f selected students. T remve students frm the grup, chse the X next t their name. Once all students have been selected, chse t Create the grup. Selected Tab T view the students wh have been selected fr the annuncement, chse the Selected tab. T remve a student, select the X next t their name. Creating a Grup Annuncement Once grups have been defined, the user may send an annuncement t the grup. Select New Item frm the Chalkable Classrm menu n the left. T: Enter part f the name f the grup r part f a student name. Recrds matching the criteria entered will display and may be selected. Alternately, select the add peple r grups icn t select recipients. Once students are selected, they will display in the T field. Users may chse the X next t the student name t remve them frm the annuncement. Item Name: Enter the name f the annuncement as it shuld appear in the student feed. Assignment (Annuncement Cntent): Enter the desired message cntent. Due Date: Enter the date assciated with the annuncement. Nte: When the user selects Save, the message will be sent immediately t all users in the T grup. The message is nt sent t users n the Due Date. Attach: Select t attach a file t the annuncement. Chalkable Study Center users may als attach apps. Uplad: Drag/drp a file t the square r select t Chse File. Assessment: Select t attach an assessment t this annuncement. Select the assessment frm the available list alng with the start/end date and time. See the Chalkable Classrm - Assessments dcument fr mre details regarding creating and assigning assessments. Nte: An assessment attached in this manner is nt assciated with a specific sectin/class; neither is it assciated with an activity in a teacher grade bk. Therefre, scres will nt autmatically be placed int a grade bk item fr a teacher. The annuncement will shw in the student s feed alng with the due date f the assessment as sn as the user creating the annuncement selects Submit. Hwever, students will nt be able t take the assessment until they are within the start/end dates and times f the assessment. Chalkable_0419171230 Chalkable Classrm Admin Prtal 7

Attribute: Select Add Attribute. A new sectin will be added t the annuncement screen. Categry: Select the attribute categry (i.e., Objectives, Resurces, Cmments) Hide frm students: Select Yes r N t indicate whether r nt t hide the attribute frm students. Cmments: Enter any relevant cmments in the bx prvided. Attach Dc: Select t attach a dcument t this attribute. Remve Attribute: Select the gray in the upper right hand crner f the attribute t remve it frm the annuncement. Select Save t send the message r Discard t exit the message withut sending. Nte: The message will display immediately fr the users in the selected T grup regardless f the Due date selected. Assessment Frm the Admin Prtal, default cut scres and tags may be defined. User must have Administer Chalkable and Assessment Admin permissin. The defaults are district wide fr cut scres. Tags may nly be defined in the Admin Prtal. Teachers d nt have the ability t define tags. In Chalkable Classrm, select the user name in the upper right crner and select Admin Prtal. Chse the Settings tab and then the Assessment tab. District & Assessment Start/End Times A district-wide assessment time frame may be set. Start: Defaults t all day. Enter a default start time that is t be assigned when a user creates a new assessment. Fr example, if a start time f 9:00 am is entered, when a user creates a new assessment, the start time will autmatically default t 9:00 am. End: Defaults t all day. Enter a default end time that is t be assigned when a user creates a new assessment. Fr example, if an end time f 3:00 pm is entered, when a user creates a new assessment, the end time will autmatically default t 3:00 pm. It can then be changed by the user if Lck Windw is nt selected. Lck Windw: If selected, when a user attaches an assessment t an item, the user will nt be able t set a start/end time fr the assessment that is ut f the time range entered here. Then, when a user creates a new item and selects t attach an assessment, the fllwing will display: Time Frame: The time frame that is set up n the Administratin Windw will display in green in the upper right hand crner fr reference. Start/End Time Fields: Defaults t time selected n the Administratin Windw as described abve. If Lck Windw is selected n the Administratin Windw, the user will nt be able t set a start/end time utside f the time range established n the Administratin Windw screen. Override administratin windw: Select verride the start/end time that was set up n the Administratin Windw. If Lck Windw is selected n the Administratin Windw, this field will be disabled. Cut Scres Users may establish district-wide cut scres t use when scring assessments. Nte: Teachers wh create new assessments will have the ptin t assign a unique cut scre t the individual assessment. Perfrmance Level: Enter a brief descriptin f the perfrmance level. Scre %: Enter the minimum percentage fr this scre. Cde: Enter a ne r tw-digit cde frm the perfrmance level t be used n reprts. Mastery: Select the perfrmance level that is cnsidered Mastery level. When lking at scre cmparisns fr students, thse with a scre at r abve master will display with green. Thse belw the master scre will display with red. Warn %: A warning percent can be established t indicate students wh are clse t a certain percentage. Fr example, if a 3% is entered next t the master percentage f 75%, then any students with a master percentage within 3% f the master percentage (i.e. 78-72) will display in an range clr, indicating they are clse t reaching mastery r they are at risk f falling belw master level. Target %: The verall target scre fr students. Tags Admin prtal users can manage the list f tags that can be assigned t an assessment r t an item. T remve a tag, select the X t the right f the tag. Select Save t save the changes t the tag list. Classes Select the Classes tab t view the Class Prfile fr the district. Admin prtal users can view feed, grades, attendance and ther infrmatin fr sectins f which they are nt necessarily the teacher. Nte: Only schls t which the user has permissin will display in the Classes tab. Fr example, if the user has access t three schls, all three will display in the grid. If the user has access t nly ne schl, the screen with multiple schls will be skipped and the user will be taken directly t the Class Prfile page fr that schl. District: Displays the name f the district. Schls: The ttal number f active schls t which the user has access. Students: The ttal number f students currently enrlled in all the schls listed belw fr the current date. If the current date is nt marked as In Schl, the clsest date that is marked as In Schl fr the academic sessin will be used. Search: Enter criteria t search fr a specific schl. Schl Clumn: The name f the schl displays in the grid as a hyperlink. Select t see a list f classes/teachers and access the Class Prfile fr a selected class. See Class Prfile n page 16 fr mre details. Students Clumn: The ttal number f students currently enrlled in the schl. Attendance Clumn: The sum f daily absences fr the current date including whle and half day absences. Tardies are nt included in the cunt. If the current date is nt marked as In Schl, the clsest date that is marked as In Schl fr the academic sessin will be used. Tl Tip: Hver ver the attendance ttal t see the ttal number f enrlled students and the ttal absences fr the current day. Discipline Clumn: The number f discipline infractins fr the current date. This is a cunt f infractins, nt incidents. Red: Mre than 1% f the students have an infractin. Green: Less than 1% f the number f students have an infractin. Tl Tip: Hver ver the discipline ttal t see the ttal number f infractins fr the current day. Grades Clumn (Averages): The verall average f all students fr the current grading perid acrss all sectins. Red: Average is less than 65. Green: Average is mre than 65. Tl Tip: Hver ver the grades average t see the average fr the grades fr the current date t tw decimal places. Calculates the average using the graded item that is marked as Display as Avg in Gradebk under Grades Setup Grading Perids Graded Item. If the current date is between tw grading perids, the previus grading perid data will be used t determine the average. If the current date is after the academic sessin end date, the last grading perid will be used t determine the average. If the current date is befre the academic sessin start date, the first grading perid will be used t determine the average. Nte: This calculatin des nt have special lgic if a sectin des nt use a 100-pint scale. Fr example, if the schl has a mixed envirnment, such as sectins that use a 100-pint scale and sectins that d nt use a 100-pint scale, the verall average displayed may be negatively affected. Schl View Select a schl name link t view details fr that schl: Schl: Schl name displays at the tp. Classes/Teacher Tabs: Displays the classes/sectins tab by default The list belw will display in class sectin rder. Select the Teacher tab t srt the list belw by teacher. Academic Sessin: Users with permissin t access previus academic sessins can select a different sessin frm the list. Search: Enter criteria t filter the list belw t a specific class if n the Classes tab r teacher if n the Teacher tab. Classes Tab: Classes Clumn: Classes are srted alphabetically. Name f the class displays as a hyperlink. Hver ver the name t view the curse and sectin number. Teacher Clumn: The last, first and middle name f the sectin primary teacher. Students Clumn: The cunt f currently enrlled students in the sectin. Attendance Clumn: The ttal number f perid absences fr the sectin fr the current date. Hver ver the number t view a cunt f infractins. Select the infractin number t view the Class Prfile discipline screen fr the sectin. See Discipline Tab starting n page 18 fr mre details. Grade Avg Clumn: The current verall grade bk average fr all students in the class. Teacher Tab: Hver ver the number t view the verall average t tw decimal places. Select the average t view the Class Prfile grading screen fr the sectin. See Grading Tab starting n page 19 fr mre details. Teacher Clumn: The teacher last, first and middle name. The name is a hyperlink and may be selected t view the classes fr that teacher. Classes Clumn: The sectin name fr the teacher s classes. Select the hyperlink f the class t g t the Class Prfile. Select the teacher name in the Teacher clumn t view a list f all classes fr the teacher. Then select the sectin t access the Class Prfile screen fr the selected sectin. Students Clumn: The ttal number f students currently enrlled in the class. Attendance Clumn: The ttal number f perid absences fr the sectins fr that specific teacher and current date. Discipline Clumn: The ttal number f infractins entered by the teacher fr the current date. Nte: The cunt des nt include infractins entered fr the student via InfrmatinNOW. Grade Avg Clumn: The verall class average fr all students in all the teacher s sectins as f the current date. Nte: User must have Administer Chalkable permissin t lg int the Admin Prtal. Users must als have View Classrm (Admin) r Maintain Classrm (Admin) rights t access the Classes tab. Class Prfile The Class Prfile allws user t view class details. Frm the Classes tab, select the name f the class t access the Class Prfile. Frm the Teachers tab, select the name f the teacher t access a list f their classes. Then select the name f the class t access the Class Prfile. Nw Tab The Nw tab is similar t a teacher s Feed tab. Permissins: T view the Nw tab f the Class Prfile, the user must have ne f the fllwing permissins: View classrm and be a teacher f the class; r, View classrm (ADMIN) T edit an item n the Nw tab f the Class Prfile, the user must have ne f the fllwing permissins: Maintain classrm and be a teacher f the class; r, Maintain classrm (ADMIN) Class: The class icn and name alng with the teacher, perid f the day, days f the week and rm in which it meets. Feed Tls: Filter the list by grading perid/custm range r type. Als srt the list by Due Date: Earliest r Due Date: Latest. Items: The items fr the class will display in a list. Select an item name t view details including scres. Inf Tab Cntains the name and teacher f the class. Attendance Tab The Attendance tab f the Class Prfile displays similar analytics t the teacher attendance page. Permissins: With permissin, the user can view r maintain the classrm attendance. Analytic Graph: Line cunts are clr-cded. Absent (red): Sum f the perid absences fr the selected time perid. Late (yellw): Cunt f the number f perid tardies fr the selected time perid. Present (green): Cunt f number f students marked present fr the selected time perid. Hver ver a pint n the chart t view a tl tip with cunts. Attendance: The bttm f the screen displays the same ptins as the teacher Attendance screen. With permissin, an Admin prtal user may view r change attendance data fr the selected class and date. List: View attendance in a list frmat. Seating Chart: View attendance in a seating chart frmat. Present: The number f students currently present/absent in the class. Printer Icn: Generate an Attendance Prfile, Attendance Register r Seating Chart reprt. Date: Defaults t the current date. Select a different date if desired. Mark All Present: User with permissin can select t mark all students in the list belw as present. Pst It: Frm the list belw, select an absent r tardy present and mark them accrdingly. Then select Pst It t save the recrds. Discipline Tab The Discipline tab f the Class Prfile displays similar analytics t the teacher discipline page. Permissins: With permissin, the user can view r maintain the classrm discipline. Student: If the user has permissin t maintain classrm discipline (Admin) r is a teacher f the class, select the student and then select the apprpriate infractin and enter any applicable ntes. Grading Tab The Grading tab f the Class Prfile shws analytics and student listing similar t the teacher grades screen. Permissins: With permissin, the user can view r maintain the grade bk. T view the Grading tab f the Class Prfile, the user must have ne f the fllwing permissins: View classrm grades and be a teacher f the class; r, View classrm grades (ADMIN) T edit an item n the Grading tab f the Class Prfile, the user must have ne f the fllwing permissins: Maintain classrm grades and be a teacher f the class; r, Maintain classrm (ADMIN) Bxes/Grid: View the activities in a bx r grid view. Defaults t grid view. Items/Standards/Final Grades: Defaults t a list f items (activities) fr the selected grading perid. User may als switch t Standards r Final (grading perid) grades view. Assessment Frm the Admin Prtal, default assessment times, cut scres and tags can be defined. District Assessment Start/End Times A district-wide assessment timeframe may be set. Start: Defaults t all day. Enter a default start time that is t be assigned when a user creates a new assessment. Fr example, if a start time f 9:00 am is entered, when a user creates a new assessment, the start time will autmatically default t 9:00 am. It can then be changed by the user if Lck Windw is nt selected. End: Defaults t all day. Enter a default end time that is t be assigned when a user creates a new assessment. Fr example, if an end time f 3:00 pm is entered, when a user creates a new assessment, the end time will autmatically default t 3:00 pm. It can then be changed by the user if Lck Windw is nt selected. Lck Windw: If selected, when a user attaches an assessment t an item, the user will nt be able t set a start/end time fr the assessment that is ut f the time range entered here. Time Frame: The timeframe that is set up n the Administratin Windw will display in green in the upper right hand crner fr reference. Start/End Time Fields: Defaults t time selected n the Administratin Windw as described abve. If Lck Windw is selected n the Administratin Windw, the user will nt be able t set a start/end time utside f the time range established n the Administratin Windw screen. Override administratin windw: Select verride the start/end time that was set up n the Administratin Windw. If Lck Windw is selected n the Administratin Windw, this field will be disabled. Cut Scres Users may establish district-wide cut scres t use when scring assessments. Perfrmance Level: Enter a brief descriptin f the perfrmance level. Scre %: Enter the minimum percentage fr this scre. Cde: Enter a ne r tw-digit cde frm the perfrmance level t be used n reprts. Mastery: Select the perfrmance level that is cnsidered Mastery level. When lking at scre cmparisns fr students, thse with a scre at r abve master will display with green. Thse belw the master scre will display with red. Warn %: A warning percent can be established t indicate students wh are clse t a certain percentage. Fr example, if a 3% is entered next t the master percentage f 75%, then any students with a master percentage within 3% f the master percentage (i.e. 78-72) will display in an range clr, indicating they are clse t reaching mastery r they are at risk f falling belw master level. Target %: The verall target scre fr students. Tags Admin prtal users can manage the list f tags that can be assigned t an assessment r t an item. T remve a tag, select the X t the right f the tag. Select Save t save the changes t the tag list. Panrama An Admin Prtal user can set the defaults that the teachers will first see when accessing the Panrama view. Default Range: The default is set t the current year + 1 which means that the prgram will cmpare data frm the current academic sessin and ne previus year fr the panrama tab. T adjust the default that will display fr all teachers, either reduce the number t ne which means the default t display fr teachers will be nly the current academic sessin. Or increase the number s the default that displays fr teachers will be additinal years. Class Defaults: The class defaults that determine the test, area and scre fr standardized tests can be set fr different curse types. Fr example, an admin prtal user can set the standardized test t ACT Math, ElemAlg, Math AlgGe and MathGeTrig scres fr any sectin that has a curse type f Math assigned. S, when any teacher f Math sectins, when they access the Panrama, wuld have the entire ACT math related scres selected fr them autmatically in the Standardized Test sectin. T set a default by class type, Select. Select the curse type frm the available drp list. Cntinue selecting the blank field and chsing the curse types frm the list. When finished chse Add. Add A Filter: Users may add varius test elements t the standardized tests graph belw. The defaults can be set up by the admin prtal user. Hwever, the teacher may edit the scres t be included in the grid as desired. Select t Add Filter. Select the Standardized Test frm the drp list. T the right, select the sectin f the test and the type f scre t include. Nte: T remve a scre line frm the list, select the red t the right f the line. Cntinue adding tests/scres as desired. When finished, click the Save Filters icn. Nte: T return t the default settings, select the Restre Filters icn. Student Defaults: Use the same steps as utline abve t set the default standardized test(s), cmpnent and scre type that will display autmatically fr each teacher n the Student panrama view. District: Displays first. A paper clip icn will display if a lg has been attached. T add a new lg fr the district, select the District ptin. Navigate t and select the lg t be printed when a user selects t include the District lg n the reprt card. Paper Clip: A paper clip icn will display t the right if a lg has been attached. Delete: Select the red X t remve a lg frm the district r t remve a schl frm the list f lgs created. Lg: The selected lg will display. Use the left/right arrws t scrll thrugh the lgs assigned t the district r schl(s). Schl Name: When scrlling thrugh the lgs, the schl assigned t the lg will display belw the lg. Schl: A list f schls that have already been assigned a lg will display. T change the icn, select the schl and then navigate t and select the lg t be printed fr this schl. Click the red X t remve the schl/lg frm the list. Add Schl: Schls may be added by selecting Add Schl. Select the schl frm the available list and chse Add. Then chse the name f the schl. Navigate t and select the lg t be printed fr this schl. Reprts Tw reprts are available t Admin Prtal users frm the reprt drp-list in the upper right crner. Lunch Cunt: A cunt f lunches fr a specified date range. Reprt Card: Print using a custm reprt card template. After selecting the reprt and chsing ptins, click Dwnlad.
