RealPresence Media Manager Version 6.0.5.1 and RealPresence Media Editor Version 6.0.1.4 Release Notes Polycom RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 Version 6.0.5.1 software is a maintenance release recommended for all installations of Polycom RealPresence Media Manager software. RealPresence Media Manager Software Support for the Polycom RealPresence RSS 4000 Version 8.5 Appliance With version 6.0.5.1, RealPresence Media Manager software now supports version 8.5 (and later) of the RealPresence RSS 4000 appliance for live H.264 streaming from the RealPresence RSS 4000 appliance s native streaming proxy, including transcoding for mobile devices. This new version also supports external deployments of RealPresence RSS 4000 8.5-supported streaming servers, including Wowza Media Server, IIS Media Services, and Windows Media Services. With the Mobility Transcoding feature enabled, RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 software now supports transcoding RealPresence RSS archive calls using Mobility Transcoding, making them viewable on RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1-supported mobile devices. Additionally, RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 has improved consistency for starting and stopping RealPresence RSS 4000 appliance calls. RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 Software Requirements and Interoperability The RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 software requirements have not changed from version 6.0.4.8. Fixes in RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 Software Table 2: List of Fixes in RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 Software Issue ID Fix Description 12572 Watch Folder and Mobility Transcoding Fixes When transcoding using watch folders, the system will no longer log an error when trying to download the original, and removed, file during transcoding. This fix applies to implementations that transcode the file from the same server where the original file is located. When transcoding with the mobility feature, you no longer need to enter Polycom Media Services Agent (MSA) credentials in the Server Profile. 12573 Reports Copy Job Fix The missing field in the Reporting Database which caused the CopyAllReportingData SQL Agent job to fail has been corrected. 12574 Portal: Embedded Player Live Sync Issue Fix 12575 Portal: Legacy Moderated Q&A Fix 12576 Portal: Missing Date in Category View Fix The embedded video player in the portal now supports live event slide-sync, for example, when streaming live presentations from a RealPresence Capture Station appliance. Questions posted from the legacy SL3 skin using Moderated Q&A now appear in RealPresence Media Manager. The date now appears on content you access from portal categories using direct links. 12577 Portal: SSO Routing Fix When logging in to RealPresence Media Manager portals using SSO authentication, you will be correctly redirected to the portal home page, instead of the login page. 12578 Portal: Mismatched Protocol on Share Link Fix 12579 Portal: Single Session Error Fix When using the Share Link feature in a RealPresence Media Manager portal, the protocol in the URL will now match the protocol of the portal. For example, if the shared link is HTTPS in the URL, it will be HTTPS when routed to the portal. When logging in to a portal with Single User Session enabled, the portal will no longer crash.
RealPresence Media Manager Version 6.0.5.1 and RealPresence Media Editor Version 6.0.1.4 Release Notes Issue ID Fix Description 12580 Downloading RSS Archives Repeatedly Fix 12581 New Bitrates for Updated Presentation Fix 12582 Setting Correct RSS Event Status Code if Error Fix 12584 File Transfer Firewall Issue Fix, including Lync Uploads 12585 New RSS External Server and H264 Support 12586 New Sentinel HASP Runtime Installer for Windows Server 2012 12587 Signed with Polycom Certificate 12588 New Localization and Internalization Files RealPresence Media Manager software will no longer repeatedly download RSS archives to the media server and cause a network error when it finds new bitrates that were not available after the initial ingestion of the archive. You can now republish a presentation with new bitrates added and the RealPresence Media Manager software will import the presentation correctly. When RealPresence Media Manager software had an issue stopping an RSS call, the proper status for the event was not being recorded. In the event of an error stopping a call, the proper status will now be recorded. File transfers will now work over firewalled connections using network address translation (NAT) of IP addresses. The Polycom Media Services Agent Import Service feature required duplex connections for file transfers, which was not possible to establish over a firewalled connection. RealPresence Media Manager software now supports RealPresence RSS using external servers and content using the H264 codec. RealPresence Media Manager software uses a new Sentinel HASP Runtime installer for installations on Microsoft Windows Server 2012. All installation files are now digitally signed with a Polycom certificate. Localization has been added to the new features in version 6.0.5.1.
Known Issues Known Issues in Polycom RealPresence Media Manager Software The following known issues persist in RealPresence Media Manager 6.0.5.1 software: You may see a HASP Error message during installation. You can ignore this error message. You may experience a licensing issue during installation. Verify that the Sentinel Local License Manager service is running. In RealPresence Media Manager software, the Stop button for RSS events will not work for RSS calls started from outside of the RealPresence Media Manager software. Updating an RSS Content Source Profile can cause the Live Publishing Point Template to appear blank in the database, preventing your system from starting calls correctly. Open the RSS Content Source Profile again and reselect the Live Streaming Server. To reselect the Live Streaming Server, select a different server and then reselect the Live Streaming Server, or turn off Live Support and turn it on again.
