VIP Price Request The Price Request allows you to submit a request for special pricing. Once submitted the pricing request will be reviewed by the Molex pricing group. Once reviewed an email notification will be sent to the requestor and the alternative email address provided. 1. In the VIP Services section, click the Price Request link. 2. The Molex Price Request screen is displayed. STEP ONE Enter all fields with (*) are required fields. Complete the following fields with as much information as possible. Select Continue A B C D E F J G H I K L Element A. *Customer Account Number B. *Reason for Request Description The customer account field will default to your sold to, unless multiple accounts are loaded in your security profile. Select the appropriate account using the dropdown. Use the dropdown to select the order reason for the special price request. C. *Contract Partner Click the Search a Contract Partner link to select the end customer you are negotiating pricing for. (See Page 6 for further instructions on using the partner search feature.) D. *Local SE Notification: E. Alternate Email Address: Select Yes or No if the local SE should be notified regarding the request. If another person needs to be notified once the quote has been processed, enter an alternate email address. Note: Once Molex's pricing team has prepared the quote, an email will be sent to both the requestor and the alternative email address if the company domain names match. Example john.smith@molex.com and sue.anderson@molex.com. Otherwise, alternative email address will not receive an email. F. Telephone Number: The requestors telephone number will automatically populate based on the users VIP profile. G. *Project Name: Name your quote or project using this field. H. *Application: What type of application will the parts be utilized for? Example: White Good, Mobile etc., I. Request for Quote Number (RFQ): J. New/Existing Business: K. *Production Start Date: L. *Contract Start Date: If you would like to assign a RFQ number for your quote, use this field to do so. Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate value, if this is New business or Existing business. Select the date on when the customer is planning to starting production. The Contract start date will default to the date you are submitting the request. Use the contract start date field to select the appropriate start date. STEP TWO Choose method of inputting data Click here to upload spreadsheet Click here to paste parts in from spreadsheet Click here to enter parts manually Click here to upload from a spreadsheet This process allows the uploading of multiple parts from an excel spreadsheet. The document must contain the following information. Element Description A. *Molex Part # Enter the Molex part number or EDP. The system will recognize old part number or engineering numbers. B. *Quantity Type in the quantity of the parts that you are looking to quote. C. *Target Cost Type a valid target cost that you are looking to pay. D. *Per U Select the unit of measure by clicking the dropdown. E. *Resale Price Type in the target resale price you are looking to quote. Note: Please fill in a valid resale price; do not fill in 0 in this field. (not required for European customer) F. Competitor If this request is a Meet Comp, provide the competitor name G. Additional Comments Please provide any additional comments you feel are necessary to the request. There is a 1000 character limit for comments. WITHOUT PROFILE Select Click here to upload spreadsheet, pop-up window will appear. 1 Locate Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from your local computer (Browse). 2 Does Row 1 Contain Column Headings: Yes or No (select appropriate options). 3 Is the spreadsheet formatted by 1 st column Material; 2 nd column Qty; 3 rd column Target Cost; 4 th column Per Unit; 5 th column Resale Price and 6 th column Competitor? = YES (make sure data is formatted correctly in spreadsheet). 4 Select Upload File. Header information is being pulled over from STEP ONE. Modifications can be made in this screen before submitting the quote if needed. Page numbers will be provided in the top left-hand corner if more than ten parts are entered. All pages must be reviewed before the quote can be submitted. Yellow indicates a soft warning message in the left column. Red indicates a hard warning message, action is required. Continue button advances to the next page. Removed selected button, allows you to remove items as required. Clear all button, will clear ALL header and part information and place you back at STEP ONE. Start over, will put you back to STEP ONE. Add Part, allows additional parts to be entered manually if needed. Once All pages have been reviewed, select submit and a quote confirmation number will be provided. WITH PROFILE Creating a spreadsheet profile will allow users to customize and save a spreadsheet layout that can be used during subsequent visits without having to redefine column locations. The spreadsheet data must be uploaded in the original format as defined in the spreadsheet profile. If the data does not match the defined profile, it could result in errors or incorrect data. Before Mapping Example of Mapping 9 Select save, the system will upload the data from the spreadsheet. See page 3 for results explanation. Click here to paste parts in from a spreadsheet The copy and paste feature allows you to simply copy data from an existing spreadsheet and paste that data into a pop-up box. Contract Partner Search VIP Price Request 1. The Contract Partner Search feature allows you to search for the end customer you are negotiating pricing for. You can search by any of the fields listed below. 2. Fill in any of the data or information that you have and click the button. 3. The partner results screen is displayed per your search criteria. 4. Click on the hyperlink of the appropriate partner you wish to select. This will populate the customer information and partner number in the Global Pricing Quotation screen. (Note: If you do not see the partner displayed in your results, you may have to submit a new request by clicking Submit New Contract Partner button at the bottom of the page.) 5. If your partner search doses not return any results, the system will automatically display Submit a New Contract Partner Request form.
