MMCX INSTALLATION A. PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKLIST Unpack Hardware/Server and verify that all components are present. If not, Contact: Technical support at 800-882-4416 Ext 50 Check Power Outlet access. MMCX Computer should have its own Dedicated Electrical Out which is not turned off at night. It is recommended that the Computer be plugged into a UPS (800VA). If not, a Surge Protector must be used. B. ASSEMBLY 1. MMCX SERVER Plug Surge Protected Power Strip into designated Wall Outlet. Make sure Power is OFF Plug Server into Power Strip Plug Mouse into Computer Plug Keyboard into Computer (Refer to Figure1 Page 6) 2. MONITOR Plug Monitor USB or Serial Cable into the touch screen monitor and then into the Back of Computer (Refer to Figure1 Page 6) Plug Video Cable into the touch screen monitor and then into the Computer (Refer to Figure1 Page 6) If using the Speakers in the touch Screen, plug the Speaker Cable into the touch screen and then into the Speaker Out Connector in the Computer (usually colored green). If using Headphones, plug Headphone Jack into Speaker Out Port. Plug touch screen power supply into touch screen, plug power cord into touch screen power supply and plug the Power Cord into the Power Strip. DO NOT turn Power Strip/Surge Protector on yet 3

MMCX BAR CODE SCANNER (If Applicable) Plug Power Cable into Scanner Plug Power Supply into Power Strip Plug Serial Connector into Serial Port 2 (Use Serial Port 1 if there is only 1 port) (Refer to Figure 1 Page 6) C. POWER UP SEQUENCE Turn Power Strip On NOTE - If for any reason a Computer has to be powered off, or the power is interrupted, the Computer will automatically recover once power has been restored. D. SIMPLE TROUBLESHOOTING Computer will not boot: Sometimes in shipment, the computer will get dropped to point that it cases internal parts to become loose. If your computer will not boot, please open the computer case and check the add-on cards, CPU, Memory, and all wires. Touch Screen Calibration If, after powering up MMCX, there is no response from touching the Touch Screen monitor, check the USB or Serial Cable both at the Monitor and at the Back of the Computer to make sure the Cable is fully inserted. If you are using USB make sure it is plugged into the first USB port. If you are using a serial connection make sure it is plugged into the first Com Port. If there is still no response, you may need to manually run the Calibration Program. From the Main Menu, press Shift+F12 to Stop the MMCX Software. Once the Software has stopped you will be at the Windows Desktop Screen. There are several different calibration utilities depending on the touch screen that came with your system. One utility is located on the desktop, and is named Main Console. Click on it then on the button that says 4 point and follow the instructions. 4
Another is in the Control Panel. Click on the Start button, go to Settings and then open the Control Panel. Look for the ELO Touch Screen Icon and Double Click, then Click the Align Button and follow the On-screen instructions. When completed, close the window you are in and double-click the MMCX Icon on the center of the screen to re-start the Software. If your touch screen is different than the above, see directions in the MMBB Installation & Operation Manual or call Tech Support. A tech support site has been setup for the most common problems. Please go to http://integrainteractive.net/support ADDITIONAL INFORMATION STOP/START MMCX Software If you need to shut down the MMCX computer, you have 2 options: 1. Press Shift+F12 on the keyboard. This will exit MMCX and take you to the Windows desktop. You may then shutdown windows normally. 2. From the main screen (not attract screen) simply press or click your stores name in the upper right corner of the screen. When the password prompt appears, enter 33124. You will then be in the customer settings screen, where you can click on the Go To Windows, Shutdown Windows, or Restart Windows buttons. 5
