Before removing the unit, press the OPEN button to slide down the front panel. 2. Lever lnsert the levers supplied with the unit into the grooves in the housing (as showninfigure)untiltheyclick.pull theleverstoremovetheunitfrom the dashboard. TUNE/SEEK 1. In radio mode, press the BD/LD button to choose band. Every time this button is pressed, the new band shows on the display. F1 F2 F3 MW 2.PresstheUPorDNbuttontomovetheradiofrequencyupor down.pressanypresetbuttonfor2secondstostorethedesired station. 3. Repeat above steps to seek and store other stations. 4. Press the button for 2 seconds until the unit starts to automatically seek strong stations and stores them in memory. 5. At radio mode, press the button to scan through all strong stations 5 seconds on each one. Duringthis5secondspressthebuttonagain,tostopona desired station. 6.InFMRadio,pressMON(Mono/St)buttontoselectstereoor mono reception. Only stereo is shown on the Display. SELECTING A PRESET Press preset button 1-6 to listen to a stored station of your choosing. 3 8
BASIC OPERATION PWR POWER ON/OFF Press the power button to turn the unit on. Press it againtoturnitoff. BASS 1. Press SEL button once, to display BASS. 2.ToadjustBASSlevel, turn knob left or right. BALANCE 1. Press select button three times, to display BAL 2. To adjust BAL level, turn knob left or right. CLOCK SETTING/DISPLAY VOLUME To adjust volume level, turn knob left or right. TREBLE 1. Press SEL button twice, to display TRE 2.To adjust TRE level, turn knob left or right. FADER 1. Press select button four times, to display FAD 2. To adjust FAD level, turn knob left or right. Press this function button to choose between CLASSIC, ROCK or POP. MUTE PresstheMUTEbuttontokeeptheunitinsilentmode.Press MUTE again. To resume normal listening. MUT 1. To display the current time, press the button once. The displaywillreturntonormalstatus afterfiveseconds. 2. To adjust the time, press the button to display the current time. Press and hold the button again while using the up or down buttons to adjust the minute and hour.. USING THE DETACHABLE FRONT PANEL To Detach the Front Panel: 1. Press the OPEN button, thefrontpanelwillslidedown. Open 1.Whenthepanelbracketisinslidedown position, insert the front panel into the panelbracket,thenpushthefrontpanel from the middle to slide it up. 2. When the front panel slides down, press thebottombuttonofthefrontpanel 2.Whenthepanelbracketisinslideup upward and pull out from the panel position, insert one side of the front panel bracket. toitsproperpositionandpushtheother side into the panel bracket. A 'click' sound should be heard. Bottom button 3. For safekeeping, store the front panel in the supplied protective case immediately after being remoed. Note that if the front panel fails to lock in position properly, the control button may not function and LCD display may be missing some segments. To eliminate this problem press the open button and then re-install the front panel again. 7 4

If installing 2 speakers, do not connect front and rear speaker leads together. Use either the front or rear leads insulating the unused wires. Never ground negative speaker leads to the chasis ground of the boat.
