Rather than utilizing an internet connection, Telx AWS Direct Connect provides a dedicated connection into the AWS cloud. Telx AWS Direct Connect provides the link between a customer s data center environment and the AWS Direct Connect gateway location. It is optimal for moving considerable volumes of data and accessing latency sensitive applications. Telx AWS Direct Connect is a dedicated, private connection providing both security and performance, allowing Telx customers to deploy Hybrid Cloud Solutions utilizing both AWS and their own business infrastructure. Advantages of deploying Telx AWS Direct Connect: A low initial investment Resiliency, scalability, and redundancy Business continuity Reduced latency by placing applications and data closer to end users Managed 24/7 Contents Telx AWS Direct Connect Product Overview Telx AWS Direct Connect Process Overview Frequently Asked Questions Technical Assistance / Contact info

Telx AWS Direct Connect Product Overview Telx AWS Direct Connect provides a secure, fiber-only connection to AWS. Access is provided to AWS in the following US Regions East-1: Northern Virginia (N.VA) / West-1: Northern California (N.CA). With Telx at the helm, connection to the AWS cloud is simplified by provisioning a single cross connect directly into the AWS gateway along with Virtual LAN connectivity providing access to the AWS array of cloud services. Once Telx AWS Direct Connect is deployed in the colocation environment, customers can create virtual interfaces directly to the AWS cloud enjoying the benefit of bypassing internet service providers in their network path. Two Connection Solutions Available With Telx A standard 1Gbps or 10Gbps single mode fiber connection from your private network to a Telx AWS Direct Connect gateway location. The VLANs are built and managed by the end user. Telx supports customers requiring speeds less than 1Gbps with our product. Our Hosted product provides a single VLAN connection built by Telx across our network backbone to the AWS gateway. Available Telx AWS Direct Connect Port Speeds Port Speeds Available: 1Gbps 10Gbps Port Speeds Available: 50Mbps 100Mbps 200Mbps 300Mbps 400Mbps 500Mbps Telx AWS Direct Connect Process Overview For each offered service, there are key components to the ordering process: With Amazon: Ordering AWS Cloud Services and associated AWS Direct Connect ports through your AWS Management Console where you will select Telx as your AWS partner.
