What is the Resource Detail View? The Resource Detail View is resource specific and accessed by clicking on a resource name from any view. This view includes: Standard resource information fields The mapped location (with options to enlarge the map and access driving instructions) Any currently reported status information (optional) The resource s contacts (those currently online display in green) The ability to initiate IM sessions
Updating Resource Information Standard resource information fields Users with resource update and edit rights are able to update this information by clicking on the edit resource detail link located just right of the hospital name. This screen enables users to update the standard information. Please note that this includes the field, Reports HAvBED data, which indicates if the resource will be participating in state HAvBED reporting.
Status fields Status values can be updated right from the Resource Detail View by clicking directly on the current status (just like the region views). This will take the user to the status update screen for that status.
The Contacts List The resource contact list is made up of all users with associated with rights to the resource. Users displaying in green are currently logged on to the application. The Associated With right is assigned to a user, much like the Update Status and Run Reports, via the Setup Users or Setup Resources pathways. Users will only display on a resource s contact list if this box is checked. Instant Messaging From Contacts List A user with Instant Messaging Initiate Chat Session rights can initiate an IM session directly from the contacts list. Users displaying in green are currently logged on to the application, and could be included in an IM session. Clicking the icon to the left of the user name opens a private chat with that user. Clicking the start group chat icon located above the contacts list on the right, opens a group chat session.
Configuring the Resource Detail View Users with the admin right Configure Region Views have the ability to group, order, and display any currently reported status on the Resource Detail View. Navigate to Setup > Views and select Customize Resource Detail View : This screen (below) provides some default sections or groupings of resources, and functionality to add, delete, and edit sections. The Attributes section includes all previously entered custom resource attributes. These have all been converted to statuses, with the new text format. The Statuses section includes all regional status types. And, Uncategorized is initially empty but is meant to be a holder for any status type that is not to be included on the Resource Detail View. Clicking on a section displays the status types already assigned to the section. The asterisk denotes an event only status type. To create new sections, type in the section name and click Create Section.
The new section, initially empty, displays. Drag and drop technology is used to move status types from section to section, and to re order the status types within each section, as well as the sections. In the above example the status type Peds is being moved from the Statuses section to the HAvBED section. There is no limit to the number of sections, and sections can be renamed, deleted, and re ordered. Status types can be moved into any section and re ordered within the section. Recall that moving any status type to the Uncategorized section is essentially removing it from the Resource Detail View. Note that status types display in their designated sections on the status update screen.
