What you ll find in the box 1. Qmote S with battery installed 2. Keychain with clasp 3. 3M Scotch Re-stickable Tabs. A pre-cut tab of clear, removable and washable adhesive for lightweight mounting. You can use this tab to stick Qmote devices to the wall or to the dashboard of your car 4. Warranty card 3
Before you start Qmote LED - Where is it and when does it blink? The LED only blinks when Qmote is attempting to connect or to reconnect. If you do not see the LED blinking, either the battery is drained or it has established a connection. Turn on Bluetooth and download Qmote app Bluetooth and Qmote app are required. So, you need to download the free Qmote app from Apple Store or Google Play, then install it on your smartphone. After that, make sure to turn on your Bluetooth. When you click your Qmote device, it will send commands via Bluetooth to the app, thus allowing it to control connected services. Please keep your Qmote App running in the background at all times. Qmote app battery usage is minor when running in the background. 5
Quick start Sign up and log in to your Qblinks Cloud account A Qblinks account is required to use Qmote. 1. Open Qmote app. 6
2. Sign up for Qblinks Cloud and you will receive a verification email. 3. Check your email inbox and activate your Qblinks Cloud account. Please check your spam folder if you don t see the activation invite in the inbox. Tap here to activate 7
4. After activating your account, go back to the Qmote app and log in. 8
Pairing your Qmote With an iphone 1. Tap in the bottom corner of the screen, and click your Qmote device to wake it up. 2. Tap Add to add Qmote to your smartphone. 9
3. Select Pair in the pairing request. 4. Pairing is complete! You can add more Qmote devices by following the same steps above. 10
With an Android phone 1. Tap in the bottom corner of the screen. Choose which Qmote you want to add, then click your Qmote device to wake it up. Virtual Qmote is a virtual version of Qmote. Find out more here https://store.qblinks.co m/blogs/qmote/smartbutton-for-androidphone Qmote is the physical Qmote device 2. If you add physical Qmote, choose the Qmote device you want to add. Location Service needs to be enabled for Bluetooth Scanning. You can turn it off after adding Qmote. 11
3. Select Pair if a pairing request appears. Please note that a pairing request may not appear in some phone models. 4. Pairing is complete! You can add more Qmote devices by following the same steps above. 12
Set up your first Action On an iphone 1. Choose the Qmote device you want to set up an Action for. 2. You will see the short click pattern, tap Enable long click pattern to open the long click pattern. Select your preferred click pattern. 13
3. Choose the desired Action and complete detailed Action settings if further setting requests appear. 4. Tap Save to save this Action. 14
On an Android phone 1. Choose the Qmote device you want to set up an Action for. 2. You will see the short click pattern, tap Enable long click pattern to open the long click pattern. Select your preferred click pattern. 15
3. Choose the desired Action and complete detailed Action settings if further setting requests appear. 4. Tap Save to save this Action. 16
Set up more Actions If you have already set up your first Action, tap [ + ] on the upper right corner of the screen to set up another Action. Existing Actions will be displayed on the bottom bar. Scroll horizontally or tap More to see all the Actions you ve set. 17
Multiple Actions You can trigger two actions or more at once by setting them to the same click pattern. Please note that there are certain restrictions for this function. For an Android phone, the camera shutter and flashlight toggle cannot be set up within the same click pattern, nor can speeddial and answering a call. For an iphone, the HID functions cannot be set up within the same click pattern. HID functions in Qmote app includes snooze/mute ringtone, camera shutter, home button, Siri shortcut, music control, and take screenshot. 18

Pair one Qmote device with different phones using the same Qblinks Cloud account Each Qmote can sync one setting file to a Qblinks Cloud account. You can choose to reload your settings from the Cloud when adding the same Qmote device using the same Qblinks Cloud account. If you choose not to reload, the settings on the Cloud will be overwritten with the latest one. 21
What Qmote can do for you? Qmote works well with both Android phones and iphones. Once the free Qmote app is installed, Qmote has the following Click Patterns and features: Click Pattern There are 9 different Click Patterns in the Qmote app. stands for a short click stands for a long click Each Click Pattern can be assigned with different Actions (Multiple Actions). For example, you can set one click to turn on your smart home light (such as Wemo light or LIFX light) and to start music playback at the same time, and then set two clicks to pause the music. 22

Snooze / Mute Ringtone This Action has two functions. You can activate snooze when your alarm rings and temporarily mute incoming calls with Qmote. It s a perfect Action when you need some quiet time. Camera Shutter This Action only works within a camera app. Qmote turns into a remote camera shutter button that can work with almost any camera app. Now, you can be a part of the group picture or video! Attention: If you trigger this Action outside a camera app, you might inadvertently adjust the volume settings. Home Button (only for ios 9 & below) Say hello to your wireless Home Button! Once you assign a click pattern to the Home Button Action, you can activate Siri simply by holding the last click of the pattern. For example, if you assign three short clicks to this Action, hold the third click for slightly longer than 1 second. 24
Siri Shortcut (only for ios 9 & below) Activate Siri using the assigned Click Pattern, and then dismiss Siri using the same Click Pattern while holding the last click. For example, if you set three short clicks as the pattern to activate Siri, then dismiss Siri by clicking three times again while holding the final click. Take Screenshot (only for ios 9 & below) Use Qmote to take phone screenshots in all situation with just simple clicks. Fake Call Make a fake call that looks exactly like the real call. You can also customize the caller ID & phone number. Speed Dial Place a call to your top contact quickly. Attention: After you click your Qmote, you need to slide the notification to enable this Action because it uses your phone credit. Set Volume There are multiple volume setting options for this Action. You can set the volume to max/min, or swiftly adjust it bit by bit for various situations. 25
Music Control Control the play/pause, previous/next track functions on any of your phone s music apps. Attention: Make sure to keep the music app you wish to control running in the background. This Action will take effect on the last music app you used if there are multiple music apps running. Apple Music Control Control the play/pause, previous/next track functions on your Apple Music. Remote Action Use Qmote to control other Qmote. This action can only be executed if both Qmote is under the same Qblinks account. Send Current Location Instantly share your current location address and map to your friends and family so that you ll never miss each other again. Attention: When you send your current location through SMS, you need to slide the notification to enable the Action because it uses your phone credit. 26
Start Navigation Start Apple map navigation. It will automatically plot a suggested route from where you are to the address you specify in the Qmote app. Attention: After you click your Qmote, you need to slide the notification to enable this Action. Launch App Use this Action to wirelessly launch apps on your phone. Attention: Only selected apps are available for use with the "Launch App Action on ios. When you click your Qmote, you need to slide the notification to enable the action. Send SMS/Email This Action allows you to easily tell your loved ones what s up with pre-written messages. Attention: When you send an SMS, you need to slide the notification to enable the action because it uses your phone credit. Uber Tap a button, get a ride. We re all familiar with the simple idea of Uber. And now, Qmote takes this idea to the next level by providing you a handy, physical button to tap! Please install the Uber app to use this Action. Attention: After you click your Qmote, you need to slide the notification to enable this Action. 27
GoPro Use your Qmote to control your GoPro HERO 4 or 5 camera. First, you need to connect your phone to GoPro s Wi-Fi. Then, set up GoPro action in Qmote App. That s it! Now, you re ready to take photo or record video with simple clicks of Qmote. LIFX LIFX is a multi-colored, WiFi-enabled smart LED light bulb that is made even smarter when controlled using Qmote! WeMo WeMo is a family of customizable products that allows you to control home electronics from anywhere. Now, Qmote offers an even more intuitive way to utilize such remote control. Philips HUE With simple clicks of Qmote, now you can control your Philips HUE light to set the perfect ambience at your home. 28
Find Phone Find Phone" is a pre-set function which requires no setup. Click Qmote at least 6 times in quick succession with the Qmote app running in the background to make your phone rings. Keep clicking to continue the ringing. You may set the ringer volume in the "Edit page" of each Qmote. HTTP Request If you are a developer, this Action will connect to the designated URL for a short period of time. If you have an internet service waiting on that URL, you can use the HTTP Request to trigger that service. 29

Snooze Use Qmote to activate Snooze on your alarm, the perfect Action when you need some quiet time. Attention: This action is only supported by Android OS versions 6.0 and above. Camera Shutter Qmote turns into a remote camera shutter button, so that you can be part of the group picture, too! Launch Dashboard Launch a dashboard on your phone s screen, providing shortcuts to some of your phone s most-used settings. Toggle Flashlight A faster way to light up a dark night! Your phone s flashlight will be turned on with this Action. Take Screenshot Use Qmote to take phone screenshots in all situation with just simple clicks. Record Audio This Action turns your phone into a handy recorder that you ll never forget to bring to important meetings. The audio file will be saved in /Qmote/Audio/ 31
Fake Call Make a fake call that looks exactly like the real call. You can also customize the caller ID & phone number. Speed Dial/Answer a Call Place a call to your top contacts quickly. When you receive a call, you can also use this Action to answer a call. Attention: When you make a call, your phone credit will be used. Answer a Call With this Action, you can answer a call, activate the loudspeaker during the call, and hang up the call. When you receive a call, trigger this Action to pick it up. If you want to make it loudspeaker, trigger this Action again. Then, when you want to hang up the call, trigger this Action one more time. Mute Ringtone You can temporarily mute incoming calls with Qmote, a perfect Action when you need some quiet time. Set Volume There are multiple volume setting options for this Action. You can switch your phone to vibrate or normal mode, 32
set the volume to max or swiftly adjust the volume bit by bit for various situations. Music Control Control the play/pause, previous/next track functions on any of your phone s music apps. GoPro Use your Qmote to control your GoPro HERO 4 or 5 camera. First, you need to connect your phone to GoPro s Wi-Fi. Then, set up GoPro action in Qmote App. That s it! Now, you re ready to take photo or record video with simple clicks of Qmote. 34

Philips HUE With simple clicks of Qmote, now you can control your Philips HUE light to set the perfect ambience at your home. Find Phone Find Phone is a pre-set function. Click Qmote continuously with the Qmote app running in the background to make your phone ring. Keep clicking to continue the ringing. You may set the ringer volume in the Edit page of your individual Qmote. 35
HTTP Request If you are a developer, this Action will connect to the designated URL for a short period of time. If you have an internet service waiting on that URL, you can use the HTTP Request to trigger that service. Broadcast If you are a developer, you can broadcast your Android message. 36
Qmote Camera on Android Qmote Camera is a recommended Qmote integrated camera app upgrade. It utilizes the full features of camera app, Open Camera. You can enjoy all the features of Open Camera with Qmote acting as a remote shutter button. Download Qmote Camera for a better photo taking experience. 37
Miscellaneous Qmote settings Edit Your Qmote On an iphone On the Qmote device page, tap and then to edit the setting of the Qmote you want. 38
Rename It is easier to identify different Qmote devices by naming them. The name of your Qmote devices will also be shown on cloud service such as IFTTT, Muzzley, and Zapier Response Time Adjust the response time to fit your clicking speed Device Info Check device info such as your firmware version and battery level Delete Delete this Qmote device from your app. Then, go to Bluetooth Settings to Forget this device Action Feedback Set Qmote click action feedback to vibrate and/or to notify Factory Reset Factory reset will erase all existing Actions on a Qmote device, but Qmote will remain paired with your phone Find Phone Volume Adjust the volume of the ringer for the Find Phone Action 39

Use Qmote with IFTTT, Zapier, and Muzzley Qmote is fully integrated with IFTTT, Zapier and Muzzley, which allowing you to access a huge array of channels and perform any action with simple clicks, bringing your smart home dreams to life. Use Qmote with IFTTT If you don t have IFTTT account, please sign up first on IFTTT. If you already have an IFTTT account, you don t need to set up an IFTTT Action on Qmote app. You only need to complete pairing Qmote and start using IFTTT. Follow the steps below to complete the pairing: 1. Log in to your IFTTT account, and go to to search Channels. 42
2. Tap Connect, and then sign in to your Qblinks Cloud account. 3. After signing in to your Qblinks Cloud account, then the connection is complete! You can now use Qmote to create your own Applet in IFTTT. 43
Use Qmote with Muzzley If you don t have Muzzley account, please sign up first on Muzzley app. If you already have a Muzzley account, you don t need to set up a Muzzley Action on Qmote app. You only need to complete pairing Qmote and start using Muzzley. Follow the steps below to complete the pairing: 1. Log in to your Muzzley account and tap + Add a device to add your Qmote. 44
2. Select Qblinks Qmote, then sign in to your Qblinks Cloud account. 3. Select your Qmote account and then tap add to My devices to add your Qmote. 45
4. You have successfully added your device! All your Qmote devices connected to this account will be listed. Now you can use Qmote to create agents in Muzzley. 46
Use Qmote with Zapier If you don t have Zapier account, please sign up first on Zapier. If you already have a Zapier account, you don t need to set up a Zapier Action on Qmote app. You only need to complete pairing Qmote and start using Zapier. Follow the steps below to complete the pairing: 1. Log in to your Zapier account on the Zapier website and go to Connected Accounts to search for Qblinks Qmote. 47
2. Select Qblinks Qmote, then sign in to your Qblinks Cloud account in the pop-up window. 3. Select Allow Access to finish the connecting. 48
