2018 2019 LRAP Cycle The 2018 2019 LRAP application is available at www.paioltagrants.org or you may access it through the LRAP Home Page on the PA Bar Foundation Website at www.pabarfoundation.org 3
First Time User? Click Register Here. 4
Fill-in the requested personal information including your organization information. Then click Register. You will receive message advising of your pending approval. Approval can take up to 24-hours. Once approved, you will receive two e-mails. One containing your username and one containing your password. Hint: You will be able to change your password later. 5
Return to www.paioltagrants.org and login using the username and password received in the e-mails. You will be redirected to the WebGrants Main Menu. 6
The WebGrants Main Menu provides access to all of the WebGrants modules you will be using. These include: Instructions; My Profile; Funding Opportunities; My Applications; and My Grants. 7
The Instructions module provide important information about the My Profile, Funding Opportunities, My Applications, and My Grants modules on the Main Menu. It also provides General Navigation information of the screens. Take the time to read the instructions. 8
The My Profile module is self-populated with the personal and organizational information you provided during the registration process. From this module you can edit your contact and organizational info and reset your password. 9
The Funding Opportunities module is where you will find the PA Bar Foundation PA IOLTA LRAP Application. Click on the Click on the 2018-2019 Loan Repayment Assistance Program under Opportunity Title to be redirected to detailed information about the LRAP Funding Opportunity and to start a new application. 10
The Funding Opportunity Details includes the award amount range, the award announcement date, and the program officers contact information. There is also a brief description of the loan repayment assistance program, a listing of documents associated with the application process, and links to the Program Policies as well as to the LRAP Home Page on the PA Bar 11 Foundation Website.
Click the Start a New Application link to be redirected to General Information, the first component of the 2018 2019 LRAP Application. 12
The majority of the General Information screen will be filled-in with info previously provided during the registration process, but you will need to enter a Project Title to further identify your unique application. This should be something such as, My New Application MM-DD-YYYY Initials. When finished, click Save. You will be redirected to a different view of the 13 General Information screen that now displays your Project Title.
Click Go to Application Forms to be redirected to the remaining application components. 14
There are seven components to the LRAP application. All must be completed before the system will allow you to submit your application. Note: The General Information, application component is automatically marked as Complete. You will have to affirmatively Mark As Complete the remaining application components as each is completed. 15
Select the next application component, Threshold Question Form. 16
In the Threshold Question Form choose your current employer from the drop down list and answer the associated questions. Once this is complete click Save. NOTE: If your employer is NOT listed, you are NOT presently eligible to apply to the PA Bar Foundation Loan Repayment Assistance Program. 17
Click Mark as Complete to be returned to the list of application components. 18
The list of application components now reflects that two sections have been completed. Select the next application, Application Information. 19
In the Applicant Information component you will enter info about your undergraduate and law school institutions by using the Add link that appears above each section. You will use the Edit link that appears at the top of the page to complete the sections devoted to licensure and employment info. 20
You may add as many institutions as needed by repeating the Add step, remembering to save after each addition. 21
When you have completed all sections, click Mark as Complete to return to the list of application components. 22
The list of application components now reflects that three sections have been completed. Select the next application component, Other LRAP Assistance. 23
Using the Add link, enter info about any LRAP assistance you may be presently receiving or anticipate receiving from another provider. Note: If you are not currently receiving LRAP assistance and do not anticipate receiving LRAP assistance, skip pages 25-26 of these instructions an just click Mark as Complete to be redirected to the list of application components. 24
You may add as much LRAP assistance you presently may be receiving or anticipate receiving from another provider by repeating the Add step, remembering to save after each addition. Note: If you are unsure as to the assistance start and end dates, estimate. These are a mandatory responses and you will be unable to save this section if the boxes are left blank. 25
When both sections have been completed, click Mark as Complete to return to the list of application components. 26
The list of application components now reflects that four sections have been completed. Select the next application component, Educational Debt. 27
The Educational Debt application component contains two sections: Educational Debt and Current Annual Debt Service Payments. Click Add to access to the Educational Debt portion. Note: Remember, loans in default are NOT eligible. 28
You may enter as many loans as necessary using the Add link. Remember to click Save after each addition. The system will perform all the arithmetic operations. 29
You will notice that the Current Annual Debt Service Payments section has self-populated. You cannot edit this portion of the application. Click Mark as Complete to return to the list of application components. 30
The list of application components now reflects that five sections have been completed. Select the next application component, Certification - Applicant. 31
Please read over the acknowledgements, Initial, date, and click Save. You will be redirected to a different view of the same screen showing your input. Click Mark as Complete to return to the list of application components. 32
The list of application components now reflects that six sections have been completed. Select the next application component, Certification Program Director. 33
As part of the application process your Program Director will need to certify your employment at one of the eligible organizations. This section is where you will enter in your Program Director s contact information so that a certification form may be emailed to them to complete. To do this click on Add located at the top of the page. 34
Enter your Program Director s name in the Name of Reference box, then provide his/her title, the name of the organization, and his/her e-mail address and phone number. Enter Employer in the box asking for Your Association with the Reference. Click Save. 35
You will be redirected back to the original screen that now shows your input. Click Notify to have email notification sent to your Program Director that includes a certification form as an attachment and instructions about how to submit the completed form. 36
Click Mark as Complete to return to the list of application components. NOTE: Your application will not be considered complete until the Program Director Certification From as been received. You can verify that an email was sent to your Program Director by clicking on Alert History in the My Profile module on the Main Menu. 37
The list of application components now reflects that all seven sections have been completed. If you wish to view your completed application, click Application Details. If you need to re-edit any section of the application, simply click on the corresponding component. If you are satisfied with you completed application, click Submit. You will receive an email confirmation that your application has been submitted. 38
Next Steps To check the status of your application, from the Main Menu click on My Applications. You can also monitor the progress of your application through the approval process from the My Grants link on the Main Menu. Those selected to participate in the LRAP will receive a loan commitment letter, promissory note and loan agreement by November 30, 2018. 39
Other Tips & Hints You do not have to complete the application process in one sitting. You can save your work at any time and restart where you left off by clicking My Applications on the Main Menu. You do not have to complete the application components in order. However, please note that if you choose not to complete the application components in order, some of the self-populating fields may not be filled-in until the appropriate component is completed. 40
Other Tips & Hints You may print out a hard copy of your application at any stage. When in doubt about what to do next, check out the navigation bars at the top of the page and any associated with specific sections of the application. The available options will be highlighted; those unavailable will be grayed out. For more detailed info about the Loan Repayment Assistance Program, please consult the LRAP Program Policies. 41
