REPORT FOR THURSDAY 6TH JULY New Season Lambs - 1546 Sold to 115.50 or 249p/kg Auctioneer Shaun Barron Once again, a strong showing of prime lambs penned today, which has now attracted an additional buyer to our alleys, so numbers are needed to sustain their attendance. We are having one of the strongest trades for lambs anywhere in the country and today we had 9 different active buyers in the lambs and the ewes, all coming to Thrapston on the back of good numbers of quality lambs. A better show of lambs today and vendors must now draw for WEIGHT AND FINISH in order to maximise returns. On farm selection is all part of what we can do for you. If you would like us to come and assist in the drawing of lambs please get in touch. FARM ASSURANCE - If you are Farm Assured, please place your sticker on the top copy of your movement license. If you do not display the sticker, we cannot mark your lambs and some buyers cannot purchase lambs if they are not marked as assured. ARRIVAL OF STOCK - Please try to arrive as early as possible on a Thursday to avoid queues. We understand that people are busy, but when over 75% of the lambs arrive after 9.15am it is difficult to get them sorted and penned before sale time. Please help us to help you.
