License Models Single User: Products are priced on a per individual user basis (named user). Single user licenses can be installed on any computers provided that you are the only individual using the Materials and only one copy of the Materials is in use at any one time. Floating: Several users can share licenses at the same time on several systems ( concurrent user or shared licenses ). The licenses are managed from a licensing server. Users can request up to the maximum number of licenses. As soon as a license is released from one user, another user can request it. Possibilities: two seat or five seat licenses. Node Locked: not available any more 4

License Types Student: Intel has created low priced Student Suites that allow students to get access to all of their development tools. There are no functional differences in the student suites. This is a specially priced package available to only students. Academic Researcher: For faculty or staff at degree granting institutions of higher learning, Intel offers substantially discounted pricing on all Intel Software Development Products for research and educational purposes. Classroom: Intel offers a discounted suite of development tools under a floating license for classroom use. Commercial: For all other uses. Noncommercial use license Linux only NONCOMMERCIAL USE LICENSE: If you are using the Materials under the control of a noncommercial use license, if you are an individual, you as an individual may use the Materials only for non commercial use where you receive no fee, salary or any other form of compensation. The Materials may not be used for any other purpose, whether "for profit" or "not for profit." Any work performed or produced as a result of use of the Materials cannot be performed or produced for the benefit of other parties for a fee, compensation or any other reimbursement or remuneration. 6

Licensing & Support Purchase includes two components: 1. A perpetual licence to use the software no time out 2. A fixed term (one year) support services subscription technical support and product updates (= maintenance, i.e. access to updates, new versions and old versions up to 2 versions back) The support model is online through the Intel Software Developer Support page: https://premier.intel.com. There is no phone or personal support. Support and Maintenance can be renewed annually with SSR (Support Services Renewal). Some licenses include multi year Support and Maintenance (3 or 5 years) Academic licenses are available to degree granting institutions only. Everybody else needs to purchase Commercial licenses. 7
