Adding Links Links convey credibility and help with search engine optimization. Include links to your industry connections, local Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and your social networking pages. Be sure to review your list of links quarterly, both the ones that link from other websites to yours and those from your website to others. Keep a list of websites that feature a link to your site to make this review quick and easy.
In this example, we ll add a few links on a page inside the Company Info Section, featuring industry connections. Let s consider that you ll be adding multiple logos that link to your industry connections. An Image Gallery would work well. The images can link to the websites of those organizations. 1. Log into your Springboard. Springboard > Website Management 1a. Go to Website Management > Manage Content. 2. Go to the page where you want to add the links. Springboard > Website Management > List of Pages and Sections 2a. Click Details for the section that contains the page you want to modify. 2b. Click Details to modify the page. Springboard > Website Management > List of Pages
3. Add Collection content to the page. Springboard: Adding content to a page 3a. Click Add Content in the left menu. Springboard: Content Information, choosing Collection 3b. Choose Collection from the content list, and click the Continue button at the bottom of the page. Springboard: Clicking Continue to add a Collection
3c. Choose Image Gallery from the Collection Type pulldown list. Enter a title if you wish. The Collection title only displays on this page in the Springboard. Springboard: Choosing Image Gallery as Collection Type 3d. Click Save This Information. The Image Gallery collection content has been added. 4. Add your items and links. Springboard: Clicking Details to modify the Collection 4a. Click Details to modify the Collection. Now, the Collection Information screen shows an Add a Collection Item button. 4c. enter the Item Information. Choose the link option: To another site. Enter the External Link and check the box to open in a new window. Springboard: Choosing Link type for Collection Item Optional: Enter the Item Label, which will display below the thumbnail. Optional: Enter an Item Description, which will display below the Label. Here s an example of how the items display on your website. Website: Collection - Image Gallery display of label and description Use the IMAGE pulldown to choose an image you ve added to your Image Library or use the Browse button to upload a new image. As you add items, you ll see them appear on the list. 4e. Activate the Display of the items. Springboard: Listing of collection items Check the boxes in the Display column to make the items appear on your website. 4f. Click Save This Information. You have lots of flexibility regarding the display of the image gallery, including: Size of thumbnail images Borders and spacing around thumbnails Alignment of the thumbnails within the grid Alignment of the gallery grid on the page Number of rows and columns in the gallery grid For details about these options, visit the Support pages of your Springboard, click to Get Answers Now and Search for image gallery. 5. Optional: Sorting Items You can drag-and-drop and save to change the order in which the links display. 5a. in your Springboard, click Details to modify the Collection. Springboard: Clicking Details to modify the Collection 5b. Click on the icon for one of the links, drag-and-drop it where you want it. Repeat to update the order of other items.
