Relations to ISO and IEC 30% of the CEN publications are identical to ISO publications. These publications are distributed as follows: 38% result from an a posteriori adoption of ISO Standards generally through UAP; 48% result from parallel adoption procedures under ISO lead; 13 % result from parallel adoption procedures under CEN lead. 68% of the CENELEC publications are identical to IEC publications and further 25% are based on IEC publications. 84% Of the publications that are identical to those of IEC result from parallel CENELEC-IEC approval procedures. Rationale behind Cooperation Agreement CEN, CENELEC and Rosstandart wish to : - Support regulatory exercise (EU-Russia Partnership for Modernization) to align technical regulation and standards, - Remove TBT, - Improve economic, scientific and technical exchanges, - Ensure the compatibility and interchangeability of supplied products and their safety for human life, health and private property, - Foster cooperation at international level (in specific sectors), - Promote environmental protection.
