In total the apps required come to $19.56 Once again we have worked to keep costs to a minimum. Students will not be asked to purchase any additional apps for the remainder of the 2015 school year. They may however be asked by teachers to download a free app to be used in class. PCC may also provide apps or ebooks as part of Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) to students participating in the 1:1 program at the expense of the College. Price Google Drive Use your school Gmail account to access 30GB of cloud based storage for all your school work and multimedia files such as music and video. Share and collaborate your work with teachers and your peers. A must have app for 2014 Google Sheets Create Google spreadsheets that will sync to your Google Drive account. You can also share these files with classmates and teachers.
Google Docs Hopscotch Create Google documents that will sync with your Google Drive account. You can also share these files with classmates and teachers. Learn to code using intuitive building blocks to create games, animations and apps in a colorful interactive environment. Pearson ebook Your math text book will be downloaded using this app. You will be given a code by your teacher to download the ebook early in term 1 2014. Prezi Create amazing online presentations using paths and zoom control. Insert images and Embed video from Youtube. This is a great free resource. Dictionary.com A great reference app that works just as good offline. Podcasts Discover thousands of amazing vodcasts and podcasts for both education and entertainment. You can even subscribe to our very own PCCTV channel. ClickView Live This app will allow you to watch live free to air TV when connected to our school network. ClickView Adobe Voice This app will allow you to watch online our entire ClickView library full of amazing documentaries and educational content. User account will be provided to students for access to Clickview. This app allows you to create interactive presentations where you can use visuals and audio. Drop Box Another gem in the app world! Drop Box is an online cloud storage app. Users receive 2GB of free storage to save or share any file of their choice (docs, music, photos, movies etc). Imagine this! Your working on a project at home, school wherever it doesn t matter save it to your DropBox
Socrative Student then access it from any computer or device with the DropBox app. We should never hear the excuse I left it at home. Socrative is an online polling app. Teachers create a test or quiz online while students login and answer the questions. Skitch A simple yet effective way to annotate images. Add text, arrows, shapes etc. Also come with the option to save to the cloud however this requires signing up. Popplet Lite Popplet is an excellent mind mapping app. Great for planning and displaying your ideas and understanding through this free graphic organiser. QR reader There are a lot of different types of QR readers on the App Store.
