1. Is my web browser compatible with Pathways? To access PATHWAYS you must use Microsoft Internet Explorer, Version 7.0 or earlier. Note that Microsoft s new PC operating system, Windows 7, is currently not supported. Other browsers, including Netscape and AOL, are not compatible with the system at this time. The Mac Operating System is also not compatible. A few quick steps will ensure that your browser works optimally with Pathways. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then Internet Options. On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet files section, do the following: Click on Delete Cookies. (This step is very quick.) Click on Delete Files. (This step may take a minute or so if it has been a while since you have deleted files.) Click on Settings. Under the first setting of Check for newer versions of stored pages, click on Every visit to the page. Click on OK. Click on OK again. 2. I want to see my account transactions and a listing of my checks. How can I do that on a specific account? In the Balance Reporting Previous Day Summary, select the account for which you wish to see transactions, and then click on the Transactions button at the bottom of the screen. HINT: If The Back Image does not display, click on the Refresh icon on Internet Explorer s toolbar. To print all of the information on one page, click on File and then Print Preview. On the second screen below, ensure As laid out on screen is selected, and click on the Print button. The printed version will include all 3 areas on one page. 4. Why can t I see the transactions on most of my Summaries? The default date filter for the Book Transfer, Check Management, and Money Transfer Summaries is Today. To view history, change the date from the Filters button. There is a Date Qualifier called Relative. The Values associated with this are Today, Previous Day, Month-to-Date, etc. This allows a user to save a filter (or a report) with a Relative date, eliminating the need to change the date on every access. Hint: Save the filter to Last Month To Date, which is the most recent 30 days, so that you have Summary data. May 4, 2011 Page 4 of 10 Proprietary Document of CoBiz Financial
5. Can I transfer money if I don t have the funds in my account yet? No both Book and Money Transfers are processed in real-time. The system verifies that sufficient funds are available in the sending account before completing the transfer. 6. Is there a shortcut to assign all user permissions on one account or on several accounts? There is a shortcut for assigning all permissions to a specific account or set of accounts. At the top of the screen, click on the Administration tab and then the User Administration tab below it. While completing the Permissions tab for the user, this shortcut may be used on any of the Balance Reporting, Book Transfer, Check Management, and Money Transfer tabs at the bottom of the screen. First select the account(s) for which you want to assign permissions. There are two ways to select multiple accounts: To select adjacent accounts, click on the first account row. Hold down the Shift key, and click on the last account row. All account rows in between will be highlighted. To select non-adjacent accounts, click on the first account row. Hold down the Ctrl key as you click on all other desired account rows. The individual rows will be highlighted. Once you have the accounts selected, right-click in one of the rows and click on Select All. Notice the results below. For the selected Operating and Savings accounts, all applicable permissions were assigned. Hint: Sometimes it might be faster to assign all permissions and then un-check the ones that do not apply. 7. Is there a shortcut to set up users with the same permissions? While on the Administration and User Administration tabs, highlight a user with the same or very similar permissions that you want the new user to have. Click on the on the toolbar, which is Create new User based on the highlighted row. This will give the new user the very same permissions on the same accounts. You may modify some of these permissions, if you would like. Wire limits will not copy, so you will need to set the wire limits for each new wire user. To do this, on the same User Administration tab, with the user highlighted, click on the Edit Service Parameters icon on the toolbar. 8. I need to send a wire on an existing wire profile, but the profile does not show up on my list when I try to Create a Single Transfer. How can I send this wire? This may occur for two different reasons. The Money Transfer Profile may need to be approved. If this is the case, under the Money Transfer Maintenance tab, the status of the profile will be Pending Approval. A user other than the creator of the profile must approve it. Permission for you to Create Payment may need to be added to the profile for that wire. The system administrator can modify the profile from the Maintenance tab in Money Transfer. 9. My Previous Day Summary Report requires a lot of pages because the column headings are printing once for every account. How can I change this? The duplication of the column headings cannot be changed. However, if the information for one account requires two lines on the report, you can hide undesired columns to downsize the report. See the next FAQ for the instructions on how to hide columns and save the settings. May 4, 2011 Page 6 of 10 Proprietary Document of CoBiz Financial
