F 2 MC-8FX Family 8-bit Microcontroller The MB95200 series with a general-purpose low pin count package and built-in CR oscillator has been added to the product lineup of the 8-bit microcontroller 8FX Family. Overview In recent years, low-price and high-performance electric home appliances such as cleaners and fans have become readily available. To achieve high function and high performance at low prices in these small-scale systems, microcontrollers are used to execute minute control. The new MB95200 series is a compact and easy-to-use highperformance 8-bit microcontroller with operation voltage of 2.4V to 5.5V *1 and a built-in CR oscillator. F 2 MC-8FX CISC CPU is adopted as the CPU core. It realizes the industry s toplevel core performance of maximum operation frequency 16.25MHz and minimum instruction execution time 61.5ns. This product can be used as the controller for small-scale systems such as small home appliance products or as a submicrocontroller for large-scale systems. It is a very useful microcontroller for various needs as it has a built-in A/D converter, a general-purpose I/O, and functions that flexibly address system specification changes such as the addition of a low-voltage reset detection circuit. Built-in high-performance CR oscillator This product has built-in, high-performance CR oscillators. The oscillation frequency can be selected from 1MHz/8MHz/ 10MHz in the main built-in CR oscillator and its oscillation accuracy is 3 *2. The built-in sub-cr oscillator provides 100kHz (standard) oscillation that satisfies the demands for cost reduction in system designing. *2: Varies depending on the power supply voltage and operation temperature conditions. Photo 1 External View of the MB95F200 Series *1: 4.0V to 5.5V when the A/D converter is used and 2.9V to 5.5V for on-chip debugging Product Features This microcontroller is easier to use and succeeds the wellreputed high-performance CPU core and peripheral functions of the existing F 2 MC-8FX Family. 1
Built-in low voltage detection reset (LVD) function The built-in low voltage detection reset function (LVD) can reduce the number of external reset ICs. It is possible to reduce the total cost for the system as well as the number of built-in CR oscillators. Built-in on-chip debugger that supports Flash writing This product has a built-in, on-chip debugger (OCD) function that supports a Flash writing function (asynchronous serial writing). It is possible to straightforwardly execute software debugging or evaluate and analyze the system using an actual device integrated into the user system. Special on-chip debugger resources By integrating the on-chip debugger (OCD) function and establishing a special debug (DBG) terminal for debugging, the microcontroller and the on-chip debug emulator are connected by a single communication line wire. This enables on-chip debugging that does not interfere with the user resource communication functions or input/output terminals. In addition, it does not interfere with the user resources because the memory space such as ROM and RAM used for the on-chip debugger is also exclusive. Table 1 Product Lineup 2
