Chapter 1 1 Getting Started 1

Heimdallr Relay User Manual Ver 1.2 1.1 Heimdallr Relay Overview The Heimdallr Relay is a solution combined with relay server and client program which designed for tracking & managing vehicle DVRs activities. HeimdallrRelay is the relay server, mainly connecting, managing vehicle DVRs, managing the log-in users of different clients and forwarding messages of GPS and video files. HeimdallrRL is the client program, provides System setup, Authentication, Vehicle Cameras viewing, recording, surveillance, GPS Map, video picture capture of the connecting vehicle DVRs. 1.1.1 Hardware/OS facilities Minimum recommended hardware requirements: Maximum Support Channel quantity CPU: Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6Ghz Memory: DDR2 800MHz 2GB Graphics Card: Intel G41 Express Chipset 1GB 50 channel under 64 split-screen OS: Windows XP, Window 7 32/64 bits Windows 10 64 bits Chinese/English Operation System 2

Heimdallr Relay User Manual Ver 1.2 1.1.2 Heimdallr Relay Installation (1) Double click the program icon to setup the Heimdallr Relay. CAUTION If the OS is Win 7 of your PC,please run the program as an administrator. If the OS is XP, double-click on the icon. (2) Windows OS platform requires that the application be run as the administrator user. Picture pops-up. (3) Click to accept the license agreement before going next step. 3

Heimdallr Relay User Manual Ver 1.2 (6) Click to create the shortcuts in the Start Menu Folder. And click the Next to continue the setup steps. (7)Click to create the desktop icon for login Heimdallr easily. User can find the icon on the desktop screen once finished the set up procedure. 5

Heimdallr Relay User Manual Ver 1.2 1.1.3 Remove Heimdallr Relay Click the start & All Programs to open the HeimdallrRelay folder. Then click Uninstall HeimdallrRelay, follow the pop-up dialog windows to uninstall the program. CAUTION User can find Heimdallr Relay setting data at the path Computer. local disk ( C ) Users Administrator AppData Roaming Heimdallr even when the program had been removed. 1.1.4 Heimdallr Client Installation (1) Double click the program icon to setup the Heimdallr client program. CAUTION If the OS is Win 7 of your PC,please run the program as an administrator. If the OS is XP, double-click on the icon. Chapter 2 2 Navigation 15

2.1 HeimdallrRelay Main Screen Double click the icon to go into the HeimdallrRelay Main Screen. The following table shows the function of each number. Number Button Name Function/Description 1 Click to start Relay server. 2 Click to stop Relay server. 3 Click to do Group Setting, Vehicle Setting and User Setting. 4 Showing the vehicle information of vehicle DVR. 5 Showing the user information of Heimdallr clients. 6 Click to exit the HemdallrRelay server program. 16

2.1.1 Vehicle( DVR system ) Information Select the group from the drop-down menu. The DVR information of the selected group will be listed down which includes : DVR Description, User Name, Model Number, Channel Number and Connection Status. Column Name DVR Description. Function/Description The name of the user who log-in to this DVR The DVR model number Recording camera quantity of the DVR Connection status between DVR and Heimdallr Relay Server. Blue color stands for valid connection. 2.1.2 User( Heimdallr Client ) Information The Heimdallr Clients information which includes : Client Description, User Name and Connection Status. Column Name Function/Description Description of log-in Heimdallr clients User Name of log-in Heimdallr clients Connection status between Heimdallr clients and Heimdallr Relay Server. Blue color stands for valid connection. 2.2 Config Click the button to set up the Heimdallr Relay settings. 17

The detail information will be explained at chapter 2.2.1~2.2.3 2 Showing the Heimdallr Relay program information. 3 Click to enable the setting then exit this config screen. 4 Click to enable the setting & stay at this config screen 5 Click to cancel the setting then exit this config screen 2.2.1 Group Setting Click the Group Setting to define all your DVRs as different groups via Add Group, Delete Group and Modify the Group information at this system. 18

Add Group While adding a new group at this system, please fill in the blanks with its Name / Address and Contact info. User can define the group name as different fleets group. Delete Group Select to delete one or more groups from the group list. Click Yes to delete all Vehicle(DVRs). Click No to move all Vehicle(DVRs) of this group to the default group. Click Cancel to stop deleting the group and exit this setting screen. 19

Modify Group Double click or select one group from the group list then modify its setting. CAUTION User must click the OK or, Apply button of the config screen to enable the add/delete/modify group setting. 2.2.2 Vehicle Setting Click the Vehicle Setting to Add/Delete/Modify the vehicle DVR information. Only with completed set up at this section, Heimdallr Relay server can successfully processing its function of those vehicle DVRs. 20

Add Vehicle Click Add Vehicle button, a dialog pups up as following: 21

Click to choose the group or keep using the default as the group name for this new Vehicle DVR Fill in the vehicle DVR s information includes its description, user name and password. The filled up words must be less than 30 characters Click to choose the model name then its camera quantity drop-down menu will be list below. 4 -channel cameras for Model504/505/806/868/948 8 -channel cameras for Model508/808/886 16- channel cameras for Model516/816 Click to choose the FPS(Frames Per Second) / Resolution of video transmission. Click Apply button to valid the setting parameter. 6 Add Click to add the vehicle DVR. 7 Cancel Click to cancel of adding the vehicle DVR. Delete Vehicle Select to delete one or more vehicle DVR from the list. Click Yes to delete all Vehicle(DVRs). Click No to stop deleting. System will pop-up the reminding windows to let user confirm that if they would to deleted more than 5 vehicle DVR one time. 22

Modify the password of Vehicle DVR Double click or select one vehicle DVR from the group list then change its description password setting. CAUTION User must click the OK or, Apply button of the config screen to enable the add/delete/modify vehicle DVR setting. 23

2.2.3 User Setting Click the User Setting to Add User, Heimdallr User list represents all the Heimdallr client systems. Via this setting, user can Add, Delete and Modify the User ID/Description and User Name of each Heimdallr client system. Add User 24

The filled up words must be less than 30 characters Authorize viewing the client systems. Click Select al l to view the all systems. Click to add the Heimdallr client to the user list and exit the setting menu. Click to cancel of adding the Heimdallr client to the user list and exit the setting menu. Click the user from the list then click the Delete User button. Then click the Yes of the pop-up window to confirm the deleting client user. Please be noted that admin is the default user from the system and it can not be deleted from the list. Modify User Double click the user or click the user from the list & click the Modify User button to change the user description and change its password. 25

2.3 Login to the Heimdallr Client After installed the program, double click the Heimdallr icon from the desktop. There will be a pop-up dialogue for user to login to the server or client program. Server Mode:Click to login to the HeimdallrRL (Relay server). Client Mode:Click to login to the Heimdallr Client which supports Heimdall Relay server. Server Address:Please fill the IP address of HeimdallrRelay server. UserName:The user been added via HeimdallrRelay \UserSetting. Password : The password be setup at HeimdallrRelay \UserSetting. The default UserName and Password are both admin. Users ( different user name) are allowed to log-in to the client program simultaneously. 26

2.4 Heimdallr Client Main Screen The Heimdallr client main screen will be seen as following: 2.4.1 Functions of Heimdallr client menu The following table shows the function of each number. Please refer to the chapter 2.7 Retrieve historical recorded images & route map. Please refer to the chapter 2.5 Add/Delete/Modify the Vehicle / Group /User setting & setting of System info. Please refer to the chapter 2.2 &2.3 Snapshot: Click to take the snapshot of the viewing screen and route map. 6 PTZ control, (coming soon) 27

User can click - & + to have downward or upward connection status. 28

The GPS route of this DVR will be showed as following. 2:Drag and drop the connected camera( ex. ) to the split-screen of live view screen at the right part of the main screen. The live viewing of this camera will be showed as following. 3: Not Connected means vehicle DVR is disconnected (ex. ) 4 Video Loss means channel camers is disconnected (ex. ) 29

The Map view displays the time-history of vehicle s journey (route) position. 1. Select area: Click the rectangle then move the mouse to indicate the area that you would like to know if the vehicle route appear here. ( the percentage will become much bigger than the previous view of the map. Click the hand to stop indicating the area. 2. Zoom in / Zoom Out : Click + or - to zoom in or zoom out the map view. 3. Route info: System will display the vehicle ID, Speed and recorded time of the PVF file. 4. SetMap: Right click the mouse to set GPS routes of multiple vehicle DVRs at the same map. 30

2.4.5 Right-click functions Right-click the GPS route and viewing screen to go into the quickly setup menu. Click OK to show the GPS route of the viewing screen. 2.4.5.2 Set Map Click Set Video & choose the DVR user name form the Vehicle menu. And click the camera channel number. Click OK to show the video of this camera at the viewing screen. 31

2.4.6 Floating button functions Move the mouse to the viewing screen under Preview mode. There will be 4 floating buttons at the left-up corner. Click to take the snapshot(picture) of viewing channel or viewing main screen. It will pop-up following window to confirm that the snapshoot photo had been captured successfully. 3 4 Click to start Recording of viewing image. The icon will be in blue color Click the icon again to finish the recording. 2.5 Config mode Click on the Control Bar to enter Config setting menu 32

Please refer to the chapter 2.2.1~2.2.3 2 Showing the program information. 3 Click to enable the setting then exit the window. 4 Click to enable the setting & stay at the window. 5 Click to cancel the setting then exit the window. 2.5.1 Group Setting While using the Relay Server, the Add/Modify/Delete function are invalid in Group Setting. 2.5.2 Vehicle Setting While using the Relay Server, the Add/Modify/Delete function are invalid in Vehicle Setting. 2.5.3 User Setting While using the Relay Server, the Add/Modify/Delete function are invalid in User Setting. 33

. CAUTION The Group Setting / Vehicle Setting / User Setting of HeimdallrRelay server and Heimdallr client system will be synchronized. User will see the finished setting result at both server and client system once they set at one of them. 2.5.4 System Info Setting Click to setup the setting of the Hemidallr client system. Number Button Name Function/Description 1 The default Port No. is 8001 2 The path to save the snapshot file, click Browse to change the path. 3 The default file type is.bmp 4 The path to save recorded file, click Browse to change the path. 5 User can choose to save the file at.avi or.pvf type 6 The version information about the Hemidallr program. CAUTION User must click the OK or, Apply button of the config screen to enable the setting. 34

2.6 Playback Mode Click on the Control Bar to enter Playback menu The following table shows the function of each number. Event-log will be listed out after clicking the Search button The horizontal scroll bar for search the recorded data of specific time by mouse Plays forward faster, Plays forward,start/pause the video playback, Plays backward, Plays backward faster Retrieve historical recorded images includes the GPS route of selected vehicle Click to take the snapshot(picture) of viewing channel or viewing main screen. Start Time : click the calendar menu to select the date and time when the event took place. 35

End Time : click the calendar menu to select the date and time when the event stopped recording. Select Vehicle: click the select the vehicle (DVR) form the connected DVR list. The default play back screen will be 6-split view. 4-channel cameras will be with 6- split view. 8-channel cameras will be with 9-split view. The default setting of 1 st split view is GPS route map. Double click the specific view to zoom-in the single view & the selected view will be with blue frame. 2.6.4 Recorded Time Scroll Bar Click to view the recorded data of specific time by mouse The scroll bar will begin at 00:00 of the date user clicked at the Start Time The scroll bar will end at 00:00 of the next date user click at the End Time The purple area is the time which with recording video. Then black area is the time without recording video. The green line points out the time which current playback view.. 2.6.5 Floating button functions Move the mouse to the viewing screen under Preview mode. Click on the Control Bar to enter Event Viewer menu StartTime: indicates the start time of events took place. The user can click to choose the year, month & date from the Calendar Menu EndTime: indicates the end time of events ended. The user can click to choose the year, month & date from the Calendar Menu Vehicle: Specifies the vehicle (DVR ) which events took place Event Type: Filters event log by type. Event logs are classified as NONE, General Event Log, Record Event Log, Hardware Event Log, Warning Event Log, Speed Event Log, Collision Event Log, Temperature Event Log, Voltage Log. Search: Click to list out the search result. 2.8 Connect Vehicle DVR with Heimdallr 2.8.1 Vehicle DVR Setting Turn of the vehicle DVR which you would like to connect with Heimdallr Replay Server. Go to Main Menu Hardware Setup Network Setup Event Notification Setup CMS Server Setup. Activate Service Click Enable to connect this vehicle DVR with Heimdallr Relay Server. Server Address Fill in the Heimdallr Relay Server IP address. Port The default Port number is 8001. Login ID Set the ID name of this vehicle DVR. This login ID must be identical with the UserName you fill at Heimdallr Relay Server ( or Client )Vehicle Setting. 39

Login Password Set the Password of this vehicle DVR. This login password must be identical with the Password you fill at Heimdallr Relay Serer ( or Client ) Vehicle Setting. CAUTION After setting, user should click EXIT & Save the setting of the DVR setting menu to enable the changed setting.. 2.8.2 Connect HeimdallrRelay and DVR Start Heimdalr Relay program. 1 Click HeimdallrClient-> Config->System Info->Port. And set the Port at 8001. 2 Click HeimdallrRelay(or HeimdallrClient)->Config->Vehicle Setting->Add Vehicle. Set the user name and password of the DVR and click OK(Apply ) to enable the setting. 3.Click the Start Sever button of HeimdallyRelay main screen. CAUTION User must click the OK or, Apply button of the config screen to enable the add/delete/modify vehicle DVR setting. 2.8.3 Connect HeimdallrRelay and HeimdallrClient Click the Start Sever button of HeimdallyRelay main screen to enable the server. 1.
