Or have a picture of a mouth that you can open and close with the caption "You took the words right out of my mouth." I created a treasure chest so that vocabulary and spelling words could be pulled out and reviewed.

Interactive Lesson Magic Revealers Magic Revealers - reveal all items located on the middle layer of a flipchart. This is very important to remember. If not then the magic revealers will not work the way you intended. In the following example I have used a magic revealer as an X- ray like machine to study the anatomy of humans. This type of lesson can be duplicate with any topic or content area. The possible uses of this tool are limitless. 1. Go to the resource browser and find a picture for the top layer. (I have chosen a picture of a man in this example). 2. Chose the picture, text or object you wish to place on the middle layer for the grand revelation. Place it in the precise place of your choice in any area the 1st image you chose. (In the above example I have chosen the human digestive system.) 3. To change the layer each object is placed on Click on your object browser. All of the objects on the flipchart page will be listed. Now you can click an object and drag it to different layers. The hidden item must be on the middle layer. All other objects must be placed on the top layer. 4. Click on the resource browser again and pick a magic reveal tool. Test it out to see if it works.

PAGE 36 PAGE 25 Interactive Lessons - Fun with Layers Promethean software utilizes layers to achieve interactivity: top layer, middle layer, bottom layer, and the background. By layering objects on different layers, you can hide objects behind other objects. Often to achieve this, you ll need to lock the object on the top layer in place so it doesn t move. In this example above, the magic hat is an image locked on the top layer, and the other images are on the middle layer. If the magic hat wall wasn t locked in place, it would move when you try to click the objects behind it. Now you can pull the other images out of the hat one at a time during the lesson. Clock Tool and Countdown Sometimes a count down or timer tool comes in very handy. 1. Click on the tools icon, go to more tools. 2.
