C h a p t e r 1 Axon 5.2 This chapter includes the following topics: New Features in Version 5.2, 7 Changes in Version 5.2, 11 New Features in Version 5.2 This section describes new Axon features in version 5.2. Unison Search Effective in version 5.2, you can perform advanced search operations based on your requirements from the Unison search. You can manually add items from the grid to the current search to refine the search results. You can apply the logical operators such as AND, OR, and NOT to filter the search results. When you search a keyword for the first time after you log in, you can view the Add to search button. When you perform multiple searches one after the other, Axon displays a search counter that increases based on the number of searches. Every time you perform a search, Axon adds the search criteria for reuse. Click the count drop-down to view the search options for each search operation that you performed. You can now edit, reorder, mute, clear, save, and refresh a Unison search. You can also run only the current search and add the relevant search criteria to a group of searches. Axon uses the axon_unison_microservice service to enable the Unison search. For more information, see the Search and View chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Axon Interface Effective in version 5.2, the Axon interface includes the following enhancements: Facets Layout You can choose to save the layout so that you can view the facets that you want whenever you log in. When you save the layout, Axon saves the grid columns along with the facet. When you move from one facet to another, Axon changes the facet on the Unison search toolbar to the latest facet that you are in. 7

Grid Dashboard Axon displays search results as a dashboard for each facet. The dashboard provides a visual representation of data based on the search results that you view in the List tab of the grid. If you click the Dashboard tab from the grid without performing a Unison search, Axon uses data available for all the objects in the facet to calculate the dashboard results. After you perform a Unison search, Axon calculates and displays graphs based on the search results for each facet on the Dashboard tab. The dashboard items differ based on each facet. For more information, see the Search and View chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Configure Axon Settings from the Admin Panel Effective in version 5.2, configure advanced settings from the Admin Panel instead of the Linux environment. You must have the SuperAdmin profile to access these settings. You can configure the following settings from the Admin Panel: Display your organization logo in the Axon toolbar. Customize the Axon theme interface. Configure access control for users. Change support email address. Configure email delivery settings. Configure SAML 2.0 applications to work with Axon. Configure access to Enterprise Data Catalog. Configure access to Informatica Data Quality. Configure access to Secure@Source. Specify prefix for the reference numbers of Axon objects. For more information, see the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 Administrator Guide. Bulk Upload Effective in version 5.2, the bulk upload operation contains the following new features: WebUser A web user with New and Edit permissions can perform bulk upload operations. If a web user has the New permission for an object, the user can upload a new file but cannot upload existing items. If a web user has the Edit permission, the user can update existing items but cannot upload a new file. A web user can upload new or update existing relationships and roles for objects that they can add or edit. CSV File Format You can use a comma-separated-value (CSV) file format to bulk upload data to Axon. You can use a CSV file that you created to upload data to Axon. If you want to use the Axon template, you need to download and save the Microsoft Excel template in the CSV format. Bulk Upload Templates You can download and use the following bulk upload templates: 8 Chapter 1: Axon 5.2

Capability X Process Download the Capability X Process relationship template to bulk upload the relationships between a capability and process. Process X Legal Download the Process X Legal relationship template to bulk upload the relationships between a process and legal entity. Process Role Download the Process Role template to bulk upload processes to Axon. For more information, see the Administer chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Process X Legal Entity Relationship Effective in version 5.2, you can add the relations between a Process object and Legal Entity object. When you open a Process object, the Impact tab shows the related Legal Entity object under the Legal Entity sub-tab. You can see the Legal Entity overlay in the Process map. For more information, see the Search and View chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Value List Effective in version 5.2, you can add values to the attributes of a Data Set. Upload a large number of values using the bulk upload templates that you download from the Values tab of the Data Set objects. Axon uses the axon_value_list_microservice service to store values in the database. For more information, see the Administer chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Enterprise Catalog Effective in version 5.2, when you link an Enterprise Catalog resource to a system, you can choose to create a system instead of choosing an existing system. You can configure the system properties and associate to the resource. In Axon, you can view the Enterprise Catalog resources from the Salesforce application and the file systems such as Native, HDFS, and Amazon S3. You can view the following types of Enterprise Catalog fields in Axon: Column, JSON Field, XML Field, CSV Field, and Salesforce Field. You can perform a search on the type of field. In the Parent Name field, Axon displays suggestions for table names along with the schema information for relational sources and path information for non-relational sources. When you link an attribute to a field and select the New from Field type, Informatica CLAIRE recommends the glossaries that you can associate with the attribute. For more information, see the Administer chapter in the Informatica Axon Data Governance 5.2 User Guide. Inherit Data Quality Rules Effective in version 5.2, if a data set does not contain a data quality rule, Axon displays the data quality rules from the upstream data sets in the lineage. You can view the list of inherited data quality rules from the upstream data sets in the Rules sub-tab of the Data Quality tab for a data set. You can view the data lineage from the Relationships tab. Axon inherits and New Features in Version 5.2 9
