Adding a New User Any member of your organization - field providers, reviewers, billing staff, etc. - who will be required to log in will require an entry in the User profile. Any individual who will perform skills in the field should also have an entry in the Crew Member profile (cf. Adding a Crew Member ) STEP 1 Log into AmbuPro EMS on a direct-connect license (e.g., desktop) machine. Administrative profiles are not available on synchronizing licenses. STEP 2 Click the Profiles & Config tile. STEP 3 Click the User tab to display the list of existing users. STEP 4 Click the Add button in the top right of the window. 2

STEP 5 In the Add New User dialog, enter the new user s last and first name then select the security level for this user. Enter a username for the user and a temporary password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields. This password will be used by the new user the first time they log in; they will be required to change this password after logging in for the first time as long as the Force Change Password checkbox is checked. Once a synchronizing license is synchronized the new login will be available on that unit; system administrators should ensure that the user of the new account can log in and reset their password from a mobile unit. 3

Adding a New Crew Member Any individual who will perform an assessment, skill, or medication administration on an incident must be entered as a Crew Member in the Crew Member profile. In addition, any Crew Member must have a corresponding entry in the User profile (cf. Adding a New User ) to allow them to log into your AmbuPro EMS System. STEP 1 Log into AmbuPro EMS on a direct-connect license (e.g., desktop) machine. Administrative profiles are not available on synchronizing units. STEP 2 Click the Profiles & Config tile. STEP 3 Select the Crew Member tab STEP 4 Click the Add button in the top right of the Crew Member tab 4

STEP 5 In the new row created at the top of the window, enter the following: Last Name First name Certification Level (select from the dropdown) Certification # Role Additional information required by your service may also be entered in other columns STEP 6 If desired, select the newly created row and enter supplemental information in the data grid below. Information such as additional state certifications, other certifications, personal information, and driver s license information ( MV License ) may be entered. 5

Adding a New Location A location is any address that a service may regularly respond to or from. Once created and configured the location may be selected by field users from the appropriate dropdown and that location s address information will automatically be filled in. STEP 1 Log into AmbuPro EMS on a direct-connect license (e.g. desktop) machine. Administrative profiles are not available on synchronizing units. STEP 2 Click the Profiles & Config tile. STEP 3 Select the Location tab STEP 4 Click the Add button in the top right of the window 6

STEP 5 In the Add Location dialog, enter the following: Location Name Street number and name City, State, and Zip code Click Ok to create the new location. STEP 6 Once the new location has been entered, click on the row to select the new location. In the System Location Types column select at least one System Location Type. Note that not all System Location Types will have corresponding fields in the Incident Detail area; the System Location Types that appear in the Incident Detail are: Facility: Location will be available as a Destination Facility (in the Disposition tab); must be linked in the Facility Profile before it may be chosen as a transport destination. Incident Response: Location where responding unit began its response; this will be available in the Location dropdown in the Dispatch & Response tab Incident Scene: The address of an incident scene; any location your service responds to should be entered as a location to speed data entry. Typical incident scenes may include apartment buildings, office complexes, and skilled nursing facilities. This will be available in the Quick-Fill address area in the Scene tab. Patient: This location will be made available as a patient s residence (primary or otherwise) from the Quick-Fill area in the Patient tab. 7

Resetting a Forgotten Password For security reasons administrators cannot view user passwords in the User profile; however, they may reset a user s password and require the user to change it when they log in. STEP 1 Log into AmbuPro EMS on a direct-connect license (e.g. desktop) machine. Administrative profiles are not available on synchronizing units. STEP 2 Click the Profiles & Config tile. STEP 3 Select the User tab STEP 4 Select the user account you wish to reset the password on. 8

STEP 5 Click the Reset Password button at the top of the profile. STEP 6 Enter a temporary password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields. Ensure that the Force Change Password check box is checked and click Ok STEP 7 Have the user log in to AmbuPro EMS using the temporary password. If logging in to AmbuPro EMS on a synchronizing unit, ensure that it has synchronized prior to attempting to log in. The user will be prompted for a new password; once they enter their new password they will be taken to the AmbuPro EMS carousel interface. 9
