INTRODUCTION The aim of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audit of quality management system based on ISO 9001 and report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021, as applicable. Participants who successfully complete this QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor or Manager course will satisfy part of the training requirements for initial certification as an ERCA Auditor/Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor QMS or Quality Manager. The procedure is valid for all interested parties, regardless of the type of contract they have with the ERCA. REQUIREMENTS FOR ERCA TRAINING COURSE QUALIFICATION Organizations interested in qualifying for the training course assigns a person who will be responsible for the coordination and communication with ERCA for the course. This person communicates with each edition, the course program, the name of the tutor, list of participants and location of the course. Organizations interested in qualifying for the training course must ensure a suitable room in which the course will be held as well as didactical tools (computer, audiovisual, etc.) and must choose the appropriate communication media (website, brochures,..) to inform about what the course offers. TRAINING COURSE CRITERIA DURATION: Auditor/Lead Auditor A/LA Additional sector Internal Auditor Quality Manager Upgrade of EN ISO 9001:2008 Transfer A/LA TUTOR: Lessons, exercises and exams in 8 hours days not necessarily consecutive 40 hours, including: - 8 hours for examination - 16 hours for techniques of auditing according to ISO 19011:2012 24 hours (4 hours for examination are included) 24 hours (4 hours for examination are included) 16-24 hours (4 hours for examination are included) 8 hours (1 hour for examination is included) 8 hours (min 4 hours for examination are included) 1 tutor for a maximum of 20 participants. The tutor must be present throughout the entire duration of the course. The tutor must demonstrate: - 5 years experience in achievement, conduct and evaluation of QMS - qualification as a Lead Auditor of QMS, - ongoing activities in the field, - competence in training and competence to deliver training and student assessment (e.g. tutor course, lecturing)
OBJECTIVES AND TOPICS: DIDACTIC AND INFORMATIVE MATERIAL: TRAINING METHODS: EXAMINATION: - ISO 9001:2008 - methods and techniques of auditing - planning and conducting an audit in accordance with the relevant standard and the preparation of the audit report - management of nonconformities - critical approach to the system - general technical knowledge particularly relevant to the assessments at issue (i.e. elements of industrial metrology, statistical techniques) For 24 and 40 hours course (A/LA) in addition: - interrelations between ISO 9001 and ISO 19011:2012 - process approach - roles and responsibilities in audit team - description of the structure of the relevant legislation - communication aspects connected with the conduct of audits TUTOR: forms of planning teaching activities PARTICIPANT: course program, regulation of the course (percentage of absences allowed, models of conducting examinations, criteria of evaluation), handouts, texts and bibliographic references, examples of typical documents, reports, forms, etc. Training methods selected should seek to involve and engage students through the duration of the course. The learning process must contain: - theory - examples and practice (case studies) - feedback assessment on activities - simulation of the audit - simulation of closure meeting of the audit, preparation of the report - accelerated learning Duration: Case study 45 minutes Written test 45 minutes With preparation in total X hours included in the total hours of the course according to type of training course. Structure: Tutor s assessment of activity Case study Written test (general and specific character) Evaluation: Example for A/LA course: Activity assessment (max.6 points) Case study (max.5 points) Written Examination test (max. 10 points) The minimum score for passing is 15/21 The aim of examination is to verify the ability of the candidate to plan and conduct an audit and achievement of the learning objectives. The methods and system of evaluation must be designed as the example for A/LA course and described at the Regulation of the course.
The documents which needs to be completed and submitted: APPLICATION The application form ERCA qualification of the training course is available at www.ercaacademy.com. The application form contains the information about the scheme which the training organization applies to be qualified and an applicant s declaration. REGULATION OF THE COURSE Regulation which describes all criteria of the course, e.g. modality of the course, percentage of absences allowed, modality of conducting examinations, criteria of evaluation, etc. PROGRAMME OF THE COURSE Scheduled program for each day of the course including breaks is 15-30 minutes blocks. DIDACTIC MATERIAL OF THE COURSE The training organization must submit all material relevant to the course as Power point presentation, handouts, texts and bibliographic references, examples of typical documents, reports, forms, etc. TUTORS REQUIREMENTS An integral part of application documents which needs to be attached regarding the tutor are follows: CURRICULUM VITAE COPY OF DIPLOMA, DEGREE SPECIAL TUTOR S TRAINING/FORMATION WORK, LECTURING AND AUDIT EXPERIENCE (TUTOR S_LOG) 20 MINUTES VIDEO OF REAL COURSE PERSONALLY CONDUCTED SUPPORT DOCUMENTS General business terms or contract (type) between training organization and applicant for certification Register/list of participants Questionnaire of evaluation of the course (feedback of participants) At least 3 variants of final examination (3 written tests, 3 case studies) Examination Report EVALUATION PROCESS All required documents relating to the course must be submitted at least two months before to the ERCA coordinator. The qualification process includes assessment and evaluation activity from the ERCA Tutor/Lead Auditor. The person responsible for coordination from training organization must communicate to ERCA every modification or updating of the documentation or appointment of new tutor to allow the ERCA to assess the conformity with the requirements. The final decision about the qualification is made by the ERCA coordinator and not later than one month before the course.
APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS The training organization has the right to appeal against the decision made by ERCA. The appeal must be submitted in written form to ERCA within 15 days from the date of receipt of the notice. The procedure of handling complaints is described in detail in the section under established procedures for considering appeals and complaints. ERCA TERMS AND CONDITIONS The training organization has to complete and sign the application form. Based on application the ERCA or its representative prepares an official Proposal on qualification of the course with the specified fee. This fee covers the cost of administering the qualification process. The Business Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the proposal (contract) issued by ERCA and accepted by the client. By signing these terms and conditions the client acknowledges, and agrees to comply with its provisions. Before starting a qualification process ERCA through its representative will invoice the training organization for qualification s fee.
