1 Introduction 1.1 Introduction to GigaCentral GigaCentral is the one place for everything in your company. Its customized encryption feature enables secure hybrid storage for all your corporate and personal working files, while you can access them from all your devices. With the new Place Holder technology and the stable performance of the Appliance, you will get unlimited disk space for all your files. 1.2 Overview This document serves as a basic functional user guide for end users using the ios operating system to access GigaCentral. 2 Getting Started 2.1 Installation 1. Download it from Apple s App Store: GigaCentral. Page 6 of 25
2.2 Activation Launch the GigaCentral app by tapping on the GigaCentral Icon. 1. Click Yes to login with your GigaCentral account. Enter the following details: Profile Name is pre-filled. You may change later this now or later if you wish to. GigaCentral URL Your Login credentials 2. Click Activate This Profile 1 2 3. An account activation request email will be routed to your GigaCentral administrators for first time activation. 4. Once your account has been approved or pre-activated, you will be granted access into GigaCentral. Page 7 of 25
2.3 Retrieval of storage settings Your preconfigured storage(s) will be automatically setup in the app when you activate your GigaCentral account. The app will also check periodically for latest storage settings configured by your system administrator. If you wish, you may manually retrieve the latest storage settings from the server with following the steps below. 1. Click on GigaCentral Settings via. 2. Select Storage Settings. 3. Select Retrieve Server Storage Settings. 4. Click Yes if you would like to overwrite your current storage settings. 5. You will be able to see the storages assigned to you. 2 3 1 5 4 Note: Each retrieval request of storage settings will overwrite your current storage settings. Page 8 of 25
3 GigaCentral Settings You may access these features by clicking on Settings. Allows you to access, edit and activate GigaCentral profile settings Profile Name GigaCentral Web Service URL Allows you to configure a passcode lock to access your GigaCentral profile. Your GigaCentral administrator can apply a default passcode and setup a mandatory passcode protection. Please contact your GigaCentral administrator for more information. Resets GigaCentral to factory settings. Allows you to configure GigaCentral to trigger a prompt during activity performed on a mobile 3G network. Allows you to access and edit Storage settings. Allows you to determine the limit on the size of files that can be handled by GigaCentral, via file functions such as download/upload, copy, cut paste etc. Default values: 3G: 10MB Wi-Fi: 100MB Maximum limit: 100MB Automatically sends crash report when GigaCentral Crashes Allows you to view the version of GigaCentral that you are using Allows you to watch the GigaCentral video to give a rough idea what GigaCentral is about. Last automatic retrieval of your GigaCentral profile settings. Allows you to give feedback to the Support Team of GigaCentral via Email. Page 9 of 25
3.1 Passcode Lock Turning on passcode lock will protect your profile and GigaCentral app from unauthorized use. Activating a passcode-protected profile will requires entering the correct passcode. Note: If passcode lock is active and you are using ios device with fingerprint reader (Touch ID) enabled, you can use either your fingerprint or passcode to unlock Follow the steps below to activate the passcode lock. 1. Click on Passcode Lock under settings 2. Enable Passcode Lock 3. Enter new passcode 4. Enter new passcode again 5. Note: 1. To change passcode, tap on change passcode. 2. A default passcode or fingerprint login can be applied to GigaCentral upon installation and activation of GigaCentral. Please contact your GigaCentral administrator for more information. 3. Turn Erase Data on if you wish to delete all GigaCentral files upon 10 failed passcode attempts. 4. If you wish to disable passcode lock, turn Passcode Lock off. You will need to enter a valid current passcode to disable this feature. Page 11 of 25
4 Using GigaCentral 4.1 Navigation Panels Contains files that have been shared to you via GigaCentral internal sharing Contains files that you have shared via GigaCentral for internal and external recipients Contains files saved into GigaCentral from external applications Contains storages, folders or files which were marked as favourite To configure GigaCentral settings Storage sites configured in GigaCentral Page 12 of 25
4.2 Online / Offline Mode You may toggle GigaCentral online and offline by tapping on the GigaCentral status icon. 4.3 File Status Cached files Files available to you even in offline mode. New files Files uploaded to the storage after your last visit. Page 13 of 25
5 Manage File 5.1 Access file 1. Navigate to the file using the navigation panel 2. Files will be displayed on the file list panel of GigaCentral. 3. File details such filename, last updated time and file size will be displayed next to the file icon. 5.2 Open file 1. Navigate to the file you wish to open 2. Click on a file. 3. The file will be opened in the file viewer. 5.3 File options Navigate to folder where the file resides. 5.3.1 Select single file 1. Click on the pencil icon of the file. 2. 5.3.2 Select multiple files 1. Click on the multi-select icon at the top right of the application. 2. Select the files 3. Click on the file options icon. 4. 6 Manage Folder 6.1 Selected Folder Options Add selected folder to favourites 1 2 Clear selected folder s cached files Copy selected folder Delete selected folder Note: All contents within the selected folder will be deleted as well. 7.1 Internal Share GigaCentral enables you to share folder and files to other internal GigaCentral users. 1. Click on the pencil icon of the folder/file that you wish to share. You may select multiple files by clicking on the multi-select icon on the top right. For a detailed guide, refer to 6.3.2 Select Multiple Files. 2. Click on Share option. 3. Top of the screen will show Internal Sharing 4. Click on add recipients. You can select recipients from AD users, group and distribution lists from your company s address book 3 7 1 4 5 6 2 5. Select No expiry if you do not wish to set. Otherwise, click on the date field to set an expiry. 6. Enter the Message if you wish to. 7. Click on Done at the top right-hand corner once you have entered and selected accordingly. 8. The email notification will then be sent to the recipient(s). Note: Sharing of files is NOT applicable to storage folders that were created with Alternate Authentication enabled. If you wish to delete the recipient from the sharing, swipe left to show the delete option. Click on delete to remove recipient. Page 18 of 25
7.2 Resend Email You will be able to resend emails to your recipients to enable them to access the file(s). 1. Go to Shared Out Folder to extend the share of a folder/file. 2. Select on the folder/files that you wish to resend the email. 3. Select Resend Email. 1 2 3 Page 19 of 25
7.3 Unshare/Edit Share After sharing out your file(s), you can decide to either Edit You will be able to edit specific users from accessing the share/file and removing file(s)/folder(s) being shared. You will be able to edit the duration of the share by editing the date/time to allow your recipients more time to access the file(s). 1. Go to Shared Out Folder to edit a folder/file 2. Select on the folder/files that you wish to edit via the pencil icon. 3. Click Edit 4. If you wish to edit the documents, click on Edit documents. A list of document will be displayed. You may select or unselect the documents. Click done to return to the Edit Share screen. 5. If you wish to remove recipients, unselect the recipients. 6. If you wish to remove link expiry, click on No Expiry. If you wish to edit the expiry, click on the current expiry date and select a new expiry date. 7. Click on Save at the top right. The share will be edited and an email notification will be sent to the recipient. Page 20 of 25

Unshare You will be able to remove specific users from accessing the share/file and removing file(s)/folder(s) being shared. 1. Go to Shared Out Folder to unshare a folder/file 2. Select on the folder/files that you wish to unshare. 3. Click on Unshare which is located at the top right hand corner. 4. A message prompt will appear asking if you want to unshare. Click Yes to unshare. 5. The file(s) will be unshared and an email notification will be sent to the recipient. Note: The page will expire in 5 minutes. Thus it is crucial that the recipient automatically uploads a file after submitting the OTP. Page 22 of 25
8 Versioning GigaCentral allows you to view and restore files to previous versions. 8.1 View Previous Versions of Files 1. Click on the pencil icon of the file. 2. Click on Version History to view the list of versions the file has. 3. Click on the Version that you would like to view. 4. Click View to view the file. 1 3 2 Page 23 of 25
9 Extra Features 9.1 To open a file from Local Files 1. Navigate to Local Files via GigaCentral navigation panel 2. Click on Open In folder 3. Click on the file that you wish to open Note: This feature is limited to editing PDF files via GigaCentral PDF annotation feature. 9.2 Saving a file from Local Files to Storage To save a file from Local Files to your Storage 1. Navigate to a folder of your choice in Local File folder. 2. Click and hold on the file that you would like to make a save to storage. 3. Click on Copy if you would like to retain the copy of file in your device. 4. Navigate to the desired storage and click on Paste (from ). 9.3 Adding Favourites You can mark any file, folder, or storage as a favourite. Favourites can be accessed easily by tapping on the Favourites menu on the sidebar. 1. Click on the the pencil icon on a file or folder 2. Click on Add to Favourites menu 3. 10 Access Files 10.1 Shared In Receiving Internal Shared file/folder(s): 1. Click on Shared In 2. Recipients for Internal shared files will receive a notification email stating who shared the files together with the files that is being shared. 3. Files will be updated into the recipient s Shared In Folder in GigaCentral after the sharing is completed. 10.2 Shared Out 1. Click on Shared Out 2. Files will be updated into the sender s Shared Out Folder in GigaCentral after the sharing is completed. Page 25 of 25
