NETLOGIC TRAINING CENTER Course Training Designing Implementing a Server (70-413) Course Content This five-day course to get hs-on instruction practice planning, designing deploying a physical logical Windows Server 2012 R2 enterprise infrastructure in this 5-day Microsoft Official course. This course is part one in a series of two courses that provides the skills knowledge necessary to design implement a Windows Server 2012 R2 infrastructure in an enterprise environment. The two courses collectively cover designing, planning, deploying, securing, monitoring, automating, virtualizing an enterprise server infrastructure. This course covers the knowledge skills needed to provide an enterprise solution that supports manual automated server installations in a physical virtual environment including the supporting file storage services. You will also learn the skills necessary to provide enterprise networking solutions such as DHCP, IPAM, VPN, DirectAccess. You will also learn the skills necessary to design implement a forest domain infrastructure including multi domains/forest branch office scenarios. This course maps directly to is the preferred choice for hs-on preparation for Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Exam 413: Designing Implementing Server, which is the fourth of five exams required for MCSE: Server certification. NOTE: Labs in this course are based on Windows Server 2012 R2 System Center 2012 R2. This course is designed for experienced IT professionals who support medium to large enterprises have experience administering Windows Server 2012 R2 have an MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification or equivalent skills. Course Objective By the end of the course, you should be able to meet the following objectives: Plan server upgrade migration. Plan implement a server deployment strategy. Plan deploy servers by using System Center 2012 R2 Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). Design maintain an IP configuration address management solution. Design implement name resolution. Design implement an AD DS forest domain infrastructure. Design implement an AD DS organizational unit (OU) infrastructure. Design implement a Group Policy Object (GPO) strategy. Design implement an AD DS physical topology. Plan implement storage file services. Design implement network protection. Design implement remote access services.

Course Prerequisite Cidates for this course have good Windows client server operating system knowledge basic AD DS networking experience in an enterprise/small business (SMB) environment together with application configuration experience. In addition to their professional experience, students who attend this training should already have the following technical knowledge: A good understing of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) fundamentals networking concepts. A good working knowledge of both Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). For example, domain user accounts, domain vs. local user accounts, user profiles, group membership. A good understing of both scripts batch files. A solid understing of security concepts, such as authentication authorization. Familiarity with deployment, packaging, imaging tools. Ability to work in a team/virtual team. Ability to produce good documentation have the appropriate communication skills to create proposals make budget recommendations. Knowledge equivalent to Windows 2012 R2 MCSA. Students who attend this training can meet the prerequisites by attending the following courses, or obtaining equivalent knowledge skills: 20410D: Installing Configuring Windows Server 2012 20411D: Administering Windows Server 2012 20412D: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services OR 20417D: Upgrading Your Skills to MCSA Windows Server 2012 Course Pre-Test Not Required
