Registration Property Managers complete your registration online at www.ahrn.com to access this free service. Click on the Property Manager registration icon. You will assign a username (email address) and your password during the process. Complete your account information. It is necessary for you to add at least one property listed to gain full access to the site. 3
Adding a Listing Check for Supported Areas page This page will check if the property is within the supported area of a military installation (approx. a 60 minute commute). Currently 158 installations are deployed on AHRN. Enter the property zip code. If the property zip code represents more than one city use the 2 nd option of listing by state/city/zip as the 1 st option will use the USPS default city. 4

Adding a Listing cont You may not list the following types of properties Seasonal units (e.g. vacation rentals) Section 8, or subsidized housing Homes for Sale 6
Adding a Listing cont Entering rental property information Complete as many fields as possible. Note, fields marked with an asterisk * are required fields. The date available field must be a current or future date. Date field format: mm/dd/yyyy Click Submit. Do not close your window until you receive the confirmation page indicating your property was added successfully. If there are errors in your submission they will be noted in red above the submit button. 7
Listings for Multiple Units Complex with several units/same size & rent: Enter one listing to represent multiple units that are the same. Example: A complex has 20 (1) bedroom units that are the same rent, you enter one listing to represent all. Note: At least one of these units must be available or have an established available date. 8
Listings for Multiple Units cont Complex with several units/same size different rent: Enter one listing for each rental unit with a different rent amount. Example: A complex has two 2-bedroom units, which rent for different amounts, enter each apt. in as a separate property listing. Note: If multiple units are entered for the same address you must indicate a unit number since duplicate addresses cannot be entered. 9
Uploading Photos # 1 REQUEST FROM MILITARY MEMBERS IS PHOTOS! Upon successfully adding a listing you may add up to 5 photos by clicking the photo link. Photos need to be in one of the following supported file formats: GIF, JPG, PNG, BMP Click on the first Add an Image link and a browse box will display. 10
Uploading Photos cont Click on the Browse button to locate the saved photo on your computer and double click on the file name. Add a caption (optional) and click Submit. If you would like to add more than one picture, just click on the next Add an Image link and repeat the above steps. 11
Changing Availability Click Manage Listings on the left navigation bar. Click My Listings. This will direct you to a summary listing of all your listings. Click the check box in the Available column for the property for which you would like to change the Availability status. a checked box indicates the property is Available (searchable). an open box indicates the property is Not Available (not searchable) Click the Save Changes to Availability button at the bottom of the screen. 12
Reactivating Listings To ensure only available properties are shown on the site, regular reactivations/updates are required for properties listed as available. Reactivating your available listings on AHRN is easy! Login to your account Click the Manage Listings link Click the Reactivate Listings link to review available properties due for reactivation Check the reactivation box for those which are still available. Click Save Changes 13
Editing Listings Click Manage Listings on the left navigation bar. Click My Listings. This will bring up a summary of your properties. Locate the property and click on edit. This will take you to the Edit a Listing page. After you have made your changes be sure and update the Date Available to Move In. This date must be either today s date or a future date. Once you have done this, please click the Save Changes button. 14
Editing Listings cont You will be re-directed to a confirmation page indicating your changes have been saved successfully. If you remain on the edit listing page upon saving changes, there were errors in your submission. Please check for error messages, in red, posted at both the top and bottom of the page. Correct the field(s) and click Save Changes again. 15
Retrieving and Responding to Messages AHRN uses an internal messaging system which allows messages to be sent instantly to the recipient s message box. This eliminates messages not being received due to filters/firewalls or other spam software and allows messaging without disclosing your personal email address. Upon logging in click Messages on the left navigation bar. Click on the message to read. To reply to a message, click on the arrow icon next to the word "Reply" at the top of the message. Check your Messages Frequently! 16
Draw Attention To Your Listings Pictures, pictures, pictures! Feedback from military members indicates those listings with pictures get the first look. Give a detailed description of the property. You are allowed 4000 characters... use them! Talk about the property and surrounding area, e.g. parks, transportation, shopping, etc. Do a search of similar properties in the area. How does your rent compare? Too high? Too low? 17
