GPON Communications High Speed Fibre Networks www.madisontech.com.au

We get you. TM Madison GPON Communications GPON represents an advanced communications architecture that delivers the highest speed, longest life, lowest cost network infrastructure available. Why Madison? Developers, Consultants and Engineers choose a Madison GPON solution to access experience and expert advice coupled with reliable, cost effective hardware from trusted brands. For over 20 years, Madison Technologies has been delivering carrier-grade networks for communities and businesses that want technology built to last. Madison delivers all the technology and support you need to create a simple, effective, scalable GPON solution all in the one place.

GPON A Gigabit passive optical network (PON) is a point-tomultipoint communications cabling architecture in which unpowered optical splitters are used to enable a single optical fibre to carry multiple communications and entertainment services to multiple customers. GPON consolidates multiple services onto a single fibre cabling network which reduces costs and infrastructure while increasing bandwidth. It provides up to 2.5 Gb/s of downstream data and 1.25 Gb/s upstream to each customer delivering a customisable, high capacity fibre network for digital entertainment, communications and information services. GPON is the highest speed, longest life, lowest cost network infrastructure available in the market. GPON consolidates services onto a single fibre cabling network which reduces both capital and operational costs. GPON data capacity is scalable as user numbers and bandwidth demands increase. Systems can be configured from as few as 32 users to several thousand using multiple OLT chassis. Mining Accommodation Camps To attract and retain staff, the latest entertainment, information and communications systems are a must. It is essential to keep FIFO workers closely connected with their family and friends as well as the world at large. GPON is used to deliver news and entertainment and to keep staff connected. IP TV & Pay TV High Speed Broadband Live Chat & Video Calls Entertainment - VOD Security & Access Control Corporate Networks Better Access Hotels & Multi Dwelling Accommodation A single fibre backbone replaces numerous cabling systems and provides a common platform for security, access control, international TV (Free-to-Air & Pay TV), internet, telephony and video surveillance. GPON fibre connectivity gives owners, residents and guests access to virtually unlimited bandwidth. Corporate LAN Passive Optical Networks (POL) GPON technology greatly simplifies enterprise network design, deployment, operation and management by using proven gigabit optical networking in the corporate LAN environment. Passive Optical LANs (POL) utilise scalable PON architecture to connect hundreds (or thousands) of end users via a single-core passive cabling distribution system. Gigabit Connectivity All Services - One Platform Reduced Cabling Infrastructure Costs Reduced Power Consumption (passive splitters at floor distributors) Future Thinking Campus-style Building Layouts The advantages of GPON fibre architecture make it well suited to campus-style building layouts. GPON consolidates multiple services onto a single fibre cabling network, delivers high-bandwidth data, provides security, access control, internet, telephony, and video surveillance services via a cost effective platform over a large area. It combines multiple services onto a single fibre for distribution to end user devices. With full layer 2 and layer 3 functionality, the OLT supports a fully-featured network architecture for multiple customers in an economical pay as you grow model. The optical splitter is the heart of the passive network. A splitter takes each 2.5Gb/s GPON data stream and distributes it to up to 64 individual customers. In larger networks, the splitters are located close to end user so cabling costs are greatly reduced. Madison makes it easy to source the entire GPON network from one supplier with a full range of fibre, copper & wireless cables and accessories. NBN Compliant Single Mode Fibre Cabling Pre-terminated Lead-in and Riser Cables FOBOTs, Connectors & Pigtails Fibre Termination Boxes Structured Cabling An ONU is installed at the end user premise to retrieve all of the individual IP services such as VoIP, Internet, Data and IPTV which had been combined onto a single fibre by the OLT. The ONU typically connects to local wireless routers, TV settop-boxes, security panels, intercom systems, telephones and other customer equipment. GPON Communications
