peoplewhogofurther@.com www..com Level 3 IT Software, Web and Telecoms Advanced Apprenticeship What Will You Learn The apprenticeship is made up of qualifications and learning that will provide apprentices with the skills and knowledge required to become competent in their chosen job role. The framework includes a balance of content in technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure apprentices have an appropriate set of skills to operate in today s IT & Telecoms job roles. In addition to generic units, the apprenticeship contains 'vendor' and industry recognised content from CompTIA. Learning Methods You will be assigned a qualified Training Advisor, where learning will be undertaken by a mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, on/off the job learning and mentor support. The technical certificate is gained through 5 week off-site training: CompTIA A + Training = 2 weeks CompTIA N+ Training = 1 week Customer Support = 1 week Security = 1 week Assessment Methods The assessment strategy includes details on: Criteria for defining realistic working environment Roles and occupational competence of assessors, expert witnesses, internal verifiers and standards verifiers Quality control of assessment Evidence requirements

Apprentices who have completed a Level 3 apprenticeship programme have often progressed within their career to take on team leader or senior level positions, utilising their expanding technical expertise and guiding and training others within the organisation. Prospective apprentices who have achieved a GCSE grade A*-C in Maths and English will be exempt from completing the corresponding Key Skills or Functional Skills, if these were gained within 5 years of beginning the Apprenticeship programme.
