Everyone except for NC State Students and Mentors Select Register For An Account NC State Students and Mentors
Individual Presenter or Team Representative must complete the form to start the process. Home Institution Student ID is needed for the system to have a unique identifier for you.
This is verification that you started the abstract submission. Check your email that was used in your provided information.
Save this email! It has your Log-In details with email address used and password. Follow the link to continue your registration or use the link in the previous email to Edit Your Submission.
Login using the email and password that was in the email confirmation!
Some of this information may be pre-filled from the previous screen. Select your home institution from the drop down menu. If is not listed, you have the option to add it.
Add Home Institution information if it is NOT in the Drop Down menu.
Confirmation of home institution and student information
Two Enter information for any co-presenters. Need for each: First, Middle, and Last Names, Gender, If they will be attending, Home University, College within the University if applicable, Major, Year Classification, Phone, and Email address
Use Link Add Faculty and Assisting Mentor(s) Information to add first your Main Faculty Mentor who will approve the abstract and then any additional mentors such as graduate students, etc.
Check to see if your mentor has already been added to the drop down list. If so, select your mentor by clicking on Add Selected Mentor. If not, select the green box to request your mentor be added.
Complete the form with your mentor s information. If your mentor is from NC State University, use the lower form and click on the blue box to find your mentor.
Click on the blue box to take you to the entry for NC State University mentors.
If you have an NC State mentor, enter the Unity ID for that individual. This will then populate the mentor s information.
If an NC State University mentor, please confirm that you have the correct person and then select Add the above person
Confirm that this is the correct person by selecting OK.
You will now see the Steps for Abstract Submission with your mentor listed. If you need to add additional mentors such as graduate students or other faculty members, select the green box Add Additional Mentor Information and follow the same steps.
Once all mentors are listed, go to Step 4 to Add Abstract Information.
The upper portion of this web page describes the different types of presentations for SNCURCS. Read the description to determine which would be best for your research/creative work. You will need to select the presentation type lower on the page.
Enter the title of your abstract. Select the Presentation Type that you want to use. Enter your abstract by one of these ways: 1) type directly in the box using symbols in the system as needed, 2) copy and paste from Word by first selecting the icon with the W on it. Maximum words are 300. Do NOT enter any keywords, references, additional titles, authors, etc. here because they will be deleted! All authors and mentors are enter previously.
If you are pasting from Word you should see this box from the earlier link. Paste the text and select OK.
Your abstract will be in the box. Select Save Abstract for Review.
Review your presentation type, discipline,title, and abstract. If all is correct, select Save Abstract. If changes should be made, select Cancel, go back to main Symposium Page.
Your abstract is now listed on the main Symposium Step page. Check for any errors. If correct, select the blue box Submit Abstract for Approval. This will send an email to your primary mentor and ask for approval or corrections. You will not be able to edit anything until your mentor has either approved or disapproved the abstract after this selection.
Once your abstract has been submitted, you will see the confirmation on this screen.
You will receive this email after your abstract is submitted for approval.
If your mentor approves your abstract, it will show in the dashboard that your abstract has been approved. If your mentor does NOT approve your abstract, they will have the option to give comments on what should be changed. Please consult with your mentor and make these changes as soon as possible so that you can correct the abstract, re-submit it for approval by your mentor, and allow time for your mentor to approve the corrected version. Approval of your abstract does not register you for the SNCURCS Symposium. Go to http://sncurcs.org/registration/ to register. The deadline is October 31, 2018.
