2 Introduction EZChrom SI is a single-instrument version of the Agilent EZChrom Elite Data System. It has essentially the same functionality as EZChrom Elite (see Limitations below) for control and data acquisition, analysis, and processing, but is limited to a single instrument. Limitations and differences Please note the following limitations and differences between EZChrom SI and the EZChrom Elite Data System. Enterprise-oriented functions such as user/project administration, electronic signature, audit trails, and email notification, are not available in this version. Advanced Reporting functions and the ability to save custom report templates are not available. Sequence summary reports are created using the standard Custom Report Editor rather than Advanced Reports. With the exception of this EZChrom SI User s Guide, all documentation you receive will be for the full EZChrom Elite Data System. You should refer to the appropriate sections of that documentation for descriptions of instrument control and software use. Before you begin using EZChrom SI, you must install the software and configure the hardware (acquisition hardware and instruments) you will be using, as described in the following sections. 3 Installation The following steps should be followed when installing and configuring your EZChrom SI system.
