If you have ordered online before, we hope you find Galloup s interface to be easy and intuitive. The goal of this document is to simply provide a basic overview of the key features of our Online Catalog. If you have any suggestions for improving our store, let us know! First-Time Login First, enter this web address into any web browser: https://storefront.galloup.com If you have already been provided with login information, enter it here. If not, click Request Account and enter the required information. We ll get you set up promptly and contact you via email. From your home screen, you have easy access to all the features of our online catalog: Category Browsing, Search, Order History, and more! Getting to Know the Landscape In addition to intuitive Category Browsing and Search, you ll notice some distinct features on your home screen that will come in handy later on. Order Pad and Line Item Add. Know exactly what you are looking for? Enter a single item number into Line Item Add, on right. Or, click on Order Pad (top) if you have a list of item numbers. Would you like to be able to use your own item numbers here? We can set up crossreferences in our system to make this possible. Contact our ecommerce team at ecomm@galloup.com for details. My Account. On right. Use these tools to access your Galloup account. Edit Account. Change your password or contact information Order History. Lists previously ordered items, for easy access and reordering capability. Saved Orders. Did you save a shopping cart for later? Here s where you ll find it. Review Orders. Look up existing orders or quotes (whether or not they were placed online). Check order status, release quotes and more! Shopping Lists. Create and edit lists of items you commonly use. You may find that we ve already set one up for you, such as a Pipe Quick List including specific sizes and schedules commonly used in your industry. Browse and Search From anywhere in our catalog, you can easily browse product by keyword search (above) or category browsing (left). Let s start with a simple keyword search for elbow You ll notice that I immediately have real-time access to pricing and availability for items that display. There are three basic options for refining your results: Refine by Category, Keyword Filtering (search within results), or Refine by Attribute. Let s explore these methods. 1. The simplest option is Refining by Category. I might select Fittings, followed by Pipe Fittings and Copper. At this point I ll be looking at copper elbows. Much more specific! 2. Filtering by keyword(s) is another way to go. This is like a search within results option found on other sites. You might add further description ( 90 degree or copper ), or even a negative qualifier ( not grooved ). 3. When you want to narrow your results based on a product specification (size, material, schedule, etc), you might try Refining by Attribute. Simply use the drop downs to select an attribute value (such as SIZE), and click the Refine by Attributes button. From the results page, you can add individual or multiple items to your cart by simply inputting quantities and clicking the Add to Cart button at the bottom. If adding only one item, you can alternatively use the Add to Cart link on right. Or, click on the part number or image to view additional information on the product. Item Detail Page Once you ve found the item you are looking for, you ll find a wealth of additional information on the item detail page: Features to note here: Product Information. You ll notice immediately that you have access to: Real-time availability by warehouse; datasheets and manuals; extended product information; additional images. (Availability of some content will vary by product) Ordering Options. Adding to cart is (again) as easy as inputting a quantity and clicking the button. Not sure if you want this in your cart just yet? Use the Recalculate button to find out extended totals for your quantity. Or, click the Shopping List drop down to add to a shopping list for easy access later (Your Shopping Lists will appear on right every time you login). Shopping Cart & Checkout When you add an item to your cart, you are taken to the Shopping Cart page. You can also access your cart at any time by clicking the icon at the top of the screen (by the search button). Here you can edit quantities or remove product before proceeding to checkout. Or, use the Create Shopping List button to put your in-cart items into a new list for later. Ready for checkout? Just click the Proceed to Checkout button. On the checkout screen (illustrated on the next page), fill in the required (*) fields and hit the applicable button to place your order, submit quote, or save for later. Submit Order immediately creates an order in our system, which will be reviewed and printed at your local Galloup Warehouse. Submit Quote will generate an actual quotation in our computer system. Your local Galloup sales staff will follow up with you if requested. Save for Later will save your shopping cart to come back to at any time. You ll find a Saved Orders link on right at login. Fields for credit card info will appear if you select the Pay by Credit Card box. Make sure to fill out all required (*) fields. As a registered customer, most fields will be filled in with your defaults. Using select date opens a calendar for you to tell us when you need the material. Yes, Shipping Method is always a required field, even if you are just entering a quote. You ll get a nasty error message if you try to skip it.
