1 Product X90mw: Release 8.01 Build 703 This section of the Release Notes contains: "Fixes" "New Features" "Additional WES2009 Changes" "Known Issues" "Software Information" "Supported Platforms" "Supported Resolutions" Fixes Fixes in this release include: CIR51515: R90LEW Built-in Internet Explorer is unable to display some Web pages. CIR50562: Citrix Receiver launching Citrix Online Plug-in on C90LEW. CIR51014: Database needs standard Microsoft Webcam driver components contained in the WES builds. New Features This software release is for product X90mw and consists of one self-extracting build in.exe format only. New features in this release include: Builds Contain 2 Partitions: WES2009 builds will have 2 partitions. Windows XP User Interface Style and Behavior: The WES2009 user interface has been modified to a Windows XP Luna Visual Style (emphasis on the graphical appeal of using bitmaps throughout the interface with rounded edges on each window). File Based Write Filter Enhancements: The FBWF cache threshold is changed from a percentage of RAM to a value in MB between the range of 16 MB and 1024 MB. Amount of RAM to be used for FBWF cache is 35% of available RAM, however, the RAM value range used is 16 MB to 1024 MB. Thus, even if the RAM size is more than 4 GB, the range must remain between 16 MB and 1024 MB (you cannot go below 16 MB or beyond 1024 MB). A new Advanced Cache Settings feature allows administrators to set Cache Compression and Cache Pre-allocation. Default cache size (Defaults button usage) is changed from 15 percentage of RAM to 64 MB. In addition, the cache is compressed by default. Cache Limit and Warning Settings message is displayed, after changing Cache Limit and Warning settings and clicking OK, to inform the user that changes will apply after a reboot.

2 Chapter 1 Local Application Data and Portable Devices are Redirected to C Drive: RDP cache - Bitmap Cache is disabled by default. NetXClean will clean the RDP cache from C: if the RDP bitmap cache is enabled. VMware View Client 4.5.0 User Mode Driver Framework (UMDF): Supports upnp and power management. XML Paper Specification (XPS) Credential Roaming CredSSP Silverlight Additional WES2009 Changes Note the following WES2009 behavioral changes: Group policy minimum password length is 6 characters. Change Password utility will not pop up on default User, default Administrator, or a newly created user. Default Administrator and User passwords have been changed to Wyse#123 to comply with required password complexity. Neutron.exe is removed from the startup. WDM users should note that once a build is pushed to cloud clients, the Date and Time will not be synchronized automatically. If synchronization is required, the Neuton.exe must be manually launched from All Programs. Citrix Client 12.0 does not support Program Neighborhood. Therefore, to connect to a Citrix Server, you must use the Online plug-in application (desktop icon). Fn+F10 Key Combination for Wireless and Bluetooth Behavior Table 1 Fn+F10 Key Combination Press and Behavior Fn+F10 Key Combination Press Wireless Bluetooth LED Color Displayed First Press Enabled Disabled Blue Second Press Third Press Fourth Press Disabled Enabled Amber Enabled Enabled Pink Disabled Disabled No Color Functionality of Fn+F3 Key Combination Replaced with Alt+F3 Key Combination: Hot plugging an external monitor is not supported.
