New Mexico Issuance Document Process (HTML5) Overview The purpose of this document is to outline the process of submitting and reviewing various Issuance documents into the efiling system through File and Serve. Previously all issuance documents were submitted through the issuance email addresses provided by the court. This process will eliminate that need and streamline the efiling process for filers in New Mexico. Within New Mexico the following filings are considered Issuance Documents and will be a part of this process. Certificate as to the State of the Record Issuance of Summons Letters of Guardianship or Conservatorship Letters of Testamentary or Administration Notice of Pendency Notice of Suit Subpoenas Transcript of Judgment Writ of Execution Writ of Garnishment Filing an Issuance Document Before filing the filer will want to ensure that an accurate service contact has been added to the case service contact list. The filer will complete this by searching for the existing case, clicking on Actions, and selecting the View Service Contacts icon to the right of the case title: Doing so will open the Case Service Contacts list and display all current service contacts attached to the case.
Should the filer need to add their service contact to the case this can be done from this screen by clicking the action. The button allows the filer to associate a service contact to the case that has previously been stored in their Firm s Master Service List. If the contact in question is not listed in the Firm s Master Service List then the filer will need the case service contacts list, click on, and select. The filer will now select in order add their new contacts information. Once all information has been added or confirmed for the case service contacts, click the button in the lower right hand corner. Once all service contacts are confirmed on the case, the filer will begin their filing process by clicking the File into this Case icon to the right of the case.
This will take the filer into the filing screen starting with the Parties page Should the filer need to add any parties to the case this can be done from this screen by clicking the button. Once all party information has been verified or updated, proceed with the process by scrolling to the Filings Section. This will navigate the filer to the Filings section where they will be able to select the appropriate filing code and attach the necessary documents. In the first drop down box, Filing Type, the filer will select the filing type of EFileAndServe if they are attempting to e-serve the document. In the second drop down box, Filing Code, the filer will need to select the appropriate filing code for the document they are submitting.
Once selected, the filer will proceed to fill in the other necessary information in the top of the form including the Filing Description, Reference Number and determine if electronic service should be included in this filing. The selection of the correct filing code will cause the lower half of the form to populate with the Lead Document and Attachment document types. Note that the Lead Document is required and should be in.pdf format. Failure to attach the correct documents with the necessary format, signatures and stamps where applicable will result in rejection by the court clerk upon review. The filer will need to click in order to save the required information.
Should the filer need to submit more than one Issuance Document into this case they can do so by clicking the each field. button located at the top of the screen and following the above steps for Once all the fields on the left hand side of the screen have been filled out, the filer will need to click.
Once the entire Filings section has been saved successfully, the filer will need to scroll down to the Service Contacts or Fees section. The Service Contact contact section will only be available if the filer selected service on the filing in the previous step. Here the filer will be provided the option to select which service contacts this filing should be served on upon receipt by the court. In the fee section, the filer will need to select a payment account and party responsible for fees. Cl ick then.
The button will take the filer to a summary page that will provide a breakdown of the information selected during the filing process. Should the filer need to make any changes, they will need to click on the button and navigate to the appropriating section of the filing.
Once all information is confirmed click on the the envelope to the court for review. button in the lower left hand corner to submit
