This product has been designed and manufactured in the USA, utilizing the highest quality standards available. The Oracle Wireless Keypad unit can be used as a primary or secondary door and gate access point. - Controls up to four Access Points - Multiple Control Modes - Proximity Detector with Backlit Keypad after dark - Echo Confirmation Feedback - Up to 2 Years on 4 x AA Batteries - Temporary One-Time Use/24 Hour PIN Numbers - Use Several Keypads together in Multi-Keypad Mode - Oracle Wireless Keypad Models: o OWK5 5 Pin Codes o OWK250 250 Pin Codes Please read the instructions carefully Simple to install and simple to use, the new Oracle Wireless Keypad offers the best that the industry has to offer. Setup Instructions 1: Setting up the keypad unit: Install 4 AA batteries ( AA Lithium s for longer life and strongly recommended for colder climates) The unit will beep indicating that it is ready for the Master Pin Number to be entered. On the keypad, press ###, followed by a 4 digit Master Pin Number of your choice. Will this Keypad Unit be taught to an existing Gate Network? Yes: Will this be the only Keypad Unit at this location? If yes, go to step 8. If no, repeat the above instructions for each Keypad Unit and then proceed to step 8. No: Continue to next question. Will this be the only Keypad Unit at this location? Yes: Go to step 3. No: Repeat step 1 for each additional unit and then go to step 2. 2: Setting up the keypad unit with multiple keypad units at the same location: a. On a secondary unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 56. b. Immediately complete step 2c for the Main Keypad Unit. To switch a secondary unit back to a Main unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 57. c. On the Main Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 05. If the secondary unit fails to learn the network code, you will hear a 6-tone error signal. If you receive an error signal, repeat step 2. 3: Setting up the keypad unit with a GCU as the receiver: a. Will a Gate Control Unit (GCU) be used as a receiver in this network? No: Go to step 4. Yes: Press the learn button on the GCU until the LED lights up. Release the button. Within 20 seconds complete step 3b for the Main Keypad Unit. b. On the Main Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 1. The Keypad Unit will double-beep and the GCU LED will blink 3 short blinks to indicate success. c. Will this network contain more than 1 GCU? No: Go to step 6. Yes: The GCU is shipped with a default identity of unit #1. Additional units must have their identity set according to the chart below: GCU# GCU Dipswitch #1 GCU Dipswitch #2 2 ON OFF 3 OFF ON 4 ON ON Press the learn button on the GCU until the LED lights up. Release the button. Within 20 seconds, enter in the Master Pin Number on the Main Keypad Unit, followed by 2, 3, or 4. The Keypad Unit will double-beep and the GCU LED will blink 3 short blinks to indicate success. Once you are finished with all GCU s, proceed to step 6. 2

4: Setting up the keypad unit with an Ultra RX 900 Unit as the receiver: a. On the Ultra RX 900 Unit, place Dipswitch #1 in the ON position. b. Connect the RX 900 to power. Within 15 seconds, complete step 4c. c. On the Main Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 1 (for additional RX units, see step 4d). The Keypad Unit will double-beep and the Ultra RX 900 Relay will buzz and the LED will blink 3 short blinks to indicate success. d. Will this network contain more than 1 Ultra RX 900 Unit? No: Go to step 7. Yes: The Ultra RX 900 Unit is shipped with a default identity of unit #1. Additional units must have their identity set according to the chart below: RX900 # RX 900 Dipswitch #2 2 ON OFF 3 OFF ON 4 ON ON RX 900 Dipswitch #3 Place Dipswitch #1 in the ON position. Connect the RX 900 to power. Within 15 seconds, enter in the Master Pin Number on the Main Keypad Unit, followed by 2, 3, or 4. The Keypad Unit will double-beep and the Ultra RX 900 Relay will buzz and the LED will blink 3 short blinks to indicate success. Once you are finished with all RX 900 Units, proceed to step 7.! Clearing the Memory If you get an error tone at any time or need to re-teach a unit, you will need to clear the memory. To clear the memory on the GCU, hold down the learn button until the LED gives 4 double blinks. To clear the memory on the ULTRX900-R, hold down the learn button until you hear a low tone. Mounting Instructions 5: Mounting the Wireless Keypad Unit (OWK): a. Mount the back of the OWK to a wall or post, within easy reach of a visitor, using the mounting kit included. b. Place the front of the OWK onto the mounted back and assemble using the included screws and hex key.! Large metal surfaces could considerably shorten the range of the units. Best if mounted on a Gooseneck post or wood surface. If mounting on a large metal surface and long range is required, use a non-metallic spacer to move the unit away from the metal surface by as much as possible. 6: Mounting the Gate Control Unit (GCU): a. Mount the GCU with the label in the upright position, with the antenna pointing straight down. b. Connect the RELAY OUTPUT of the unit to the gate or door. A separate power supply is required to power the door strike if used. c. If using with a Magnetic Lock, use the Normally Closed (N/C) connections of the GCU. 3

Mount the Ultra RX 900 unit with the terminal block at the bottom, with the antenna hanging straight down. b. Connect the RELAY OUTPUT of the unit to the gate or door. A separate power supply is required to power the door strike if used. c. If using with a Magnetic Lock, use the Normally Closed (N/C) connections of the Ultra RX 900. Door Strike Normally Open (N/O) Connection Magnetic Lock Normally Closed (N/C) Connection Instructions for Existing Networks 8: Teaching the Keypad Unit into an existing Gate Network: a. Will the Primary Access Control Unit be a Gate Access Panel (GAP)? No: Go to step 8b. Yes: On the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 56. Immediately enter in the Master Pin Number on the GAP, followed by 5.The Keypad Unit will sound a double beep, indicating it was successfully taught. Go back to step 5 for Mounting Instructions and then proceed to step 9. b. Will the Primary Access Control Unit be a Basic Access Unit (MiniGAP)? No: Go to step 8c. Yes: On the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 56. Immediately press the learn button on the Basic Access Unit (black button located inside the unit, at the top of the board) and release. The Keypad Unit will sound a double beep, indicating it was successfully taught. Go back to step 5 for Mounting Instructions and then proceed to step 9. c. With a Keypad Unit as the Primary Access Control Unit Teach the Keypad Unit according to the instructions in step 2. Go back to step 5 for Mounting Instructions and then proceed to step 9. 4

9: Using secondary Keypad Units to activate additional receivers (GCU or Ultra RX 900): a. Will any secondary Keypad Units be used to activate additional receivers in the network? No: There are no additional receivers in the network. Go to step 10. Yes: A secondary Keypad Unit defaults to activating receiver #2 when a Pin Number is entered on that keypad. To activate receiver #3, go to step 9b and/or to activate receiver #4, go to step 9c. b. To have a secondary Keypad Unit activate receiver #3, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 58. c. To have a secondary Keypad Unit activate receiver #4, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 59. General Operation and Special Features 10: Using the Keypad Unit: To use the Keypad Unit, enter any valid Pin Number. With multiple receiver s, enter the Pin Number followed by the receiver identity (1-4). 11: Pin Numbers: User-Level Pin Numbers: The Wireless Keypad can support up to 5 Pin Numbers with the OWK5 or up to 250 Pin Numbers with the OWK250, for other users. - To add an additional Pin Number, on the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 9. After the beep, enter in a new user-level, 4 Digit, Pin Number. The Keypad Unit will give a single beep as the new number is accepted. Removing User-Level Pin Number: To remove a user-level pin number, on the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 7. After the beep, enter in the user-level pin number that you want to remove. The Keypad Unit will give a double beep indicating that the pin number has been removed or a triple beep, indicating a pin number has been entered that does not exist. The Master Pin Number cannot be deleted. Temporary User Pin Numbers: 5 Temporary Pin Numbers can be issued with an OWK5 (15 for an OWK250), for a 1 time only use, within a 24 hour time period. - To issue a temporary Pin Number, on the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 51. After the beep, enter in a temporary Pin Number. - To limit the temporary Pin Number to a single receiver, enter the temporary Pin Number, followed by the Receiver ID (1-4), resulting in a five digit Pin Number. The Keypad Unit will give a single beep as the pin number is accepted. Changing the Master Pin Number: To change the Master Pin Number, on the Keypad Unit, enter in the existing Master Pin Number, followed by 09. After the beep, press ###, followed by the NEW Master Pin Number. The Keypad Unit will give a single beep as the new pin number is accepted. 12: User Settings: Keypad Brightness: When it is dark out, the Wireless Keypad Unit uses an Infrared proximity sensor to light up the keypad when you come within 5 feet of it or when a button is pressed. - To brighten or dim, on the keypad unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 08. - Immediately enter 1, 2, or 3, to set the level of brightness. The Keypad Unit will give a single beep as the new level is accepted. The default level is 2. 5

Alternate Channel Group Selection: The Wireless Keypad Unit can be set to one of three alternate channel groups, to overcome range-reducing interference from conflicting radio transmitters. Change the channel setting on the Master Keypad Unit only. Once the channel group is changed on the 1 st Keypad Unit in the system, re-teach to other keypads and receivers in the system. - To alternate operating channel groups, on the Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 55. - Immediately enter 1, 2, or 3, to set the channel group. The Keypad Unit will give a single beep as the new channel group is accepted. The default setting is channel group 1. 13: Operating Mode: Party Mode: To keep your gate open during a party or other activity, so the gate won t have to open with the arrival of each guest, you can set the Wireless Keypad Unit to keep the gate open, until it is cycled closed. To use this setting, the Receiver Unit MUST be connected to an external power supply. - To enter Party Mode, on the Primary Keypad Unit, enter in the Master Pin Number, followed by 54. - To close the gate and exit Party Mode, cycle the gate by entering a Pin Number. 14: Batteries: The Wireless Keypad Unit uses four AA batteries. The average life of the Wireless Keypad Unit s batteries is a year with all functions enabled. Lithium batteries are recommended for longer life and for use in colder climates.
