Version 1.4 GraceLINK Online Giving Guide Thank you for your commitment to the financial support of Grace Church. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a secure environment for financial transactions, as well as our desire to make your personal data easily accessible to you, we are upgrading our database and our online giving to GraceLink a new online communication tool for Grace Church. With the introduction of GraceLink, we will transition out of using our current online giving system and begin using GraceLink for all online giving. This transition will require you to set up a new account with GraceLink and deactivate any recurring transactions you have in the old Logos Online Giving. 1. The first thing you will need to do is to log into GraceLink. In order to do this, you will be receiving an Activation Email from GraceLink. From the activation email, click on the link included, which will take you to the activation page. You may change the username if you'd prefer to use something different from the default. After entering a password, you will receive a confirmation message and be able to use the new username and password to log in. 2. Upon logging in to GraceLINK, you can access the giving area in two ways. Option 1: Click on the Give tab in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Option 2: You can go to your personal profile by clicking on the Go to my profile link.
3. Once you are on your profile, go to your Financial tab in the section under your profile picture, and click on the Give button at the bottom of the screen. When you click on Give, you will be given the option of making a One-time Gift or a Repeating Gift. With either option, you will also be able to decide if you want to give via your Checking Account or your Bank/Credit Card. One-Time Gift (via Checking Account) TIP: Help Grace reduce fees by using your checking account directly. Credit/Debit cards charge higher processing fees and cause less of your contribution to go towards the ministry efforts of Grace. In the top section, you can specify how much you would like to give and to which fund. If you d like to give to more than one fund, you will simply repeat this step for each fund you d like to give towards. The Billing Information section will automatically pre-fill with your contact information that is contained in your profile in GraceLINK. If this doesn t match the information on your checking account, please update the information that pre-fills. By following the example on the image of the check that is provided, fill in and confirm the routing number and account number from your personal checks. When you have finished entering all of the required information, be sure to mark the checkbox under Authorization Confirmation and then click Submit.
One-Time Gift (via Debit/Credit Card) The process for setting up a gift via debit/credit card is the same as above, but instead of providing your checking account information, you will provide your debit/credit card information. Enter the correct information for your debit or credit card. The Card Code can be found on the back of most cards, near the card signature area. Once you have entered all of the required information, click Submit. After you have submitted your gift, you will receive an emailed receipt to the address you supplied on one of the screens above, and you will also see the following message on your screen: Repeating Gifts (via Checking Account) In the top section, you can specify how much you would like to give on a repeating basis and to which fund. If you d like to give to more than one fund on a repeating basis, you will simply repeat this step for each fund. You may also choose the frequency of your gift, and the date on which you would like your repeating gift to begin. You may set it to continue until you manually change/cancel it, or to a specific number of gifts. The Billing Information section will automatically pre-fill with your contact information that is contained in your profile in GraceLINK. If this doesn t match the information on your checking account, please update the information that prefills. Please make sure to select a State choice from the drop down menu. By following the example on the image of the check that is provided, fill in and confirm the routing number and account number from your personal checks. When you have finished entering all of the required information, be sure to mark the checkbox under Authorization Confirmation and then click Submit.
Repeating Gifts (via Debit/Credit Card) The process for setting up a gift via debit/credit card is the same as above, but instead of providing your checking account information, you will provide your debit/credit card information. Log into your current account via www.graceohio.org and click on the Online Giving link at the bottom of the page. 2. Scroll down to the Online Giving Update and click on the link to deactivate your recurring giving in the Logos online giving system. 3. Log into your Logos online giving account. 4. Click the Contribute tab, select an Automated Contribution and simply click on the Delete Contribution button at the bottom of the page. This will clear and stop this recurring contribution. We will discontinue use of the Logos online giving system on April 30, 2013.
Accessing Your Giving Information Refer to Step 2 of this guide on how to access your Profile. Once you have gifts posted in the system, and/or you have recurring gifts set up, this is what your Financial tab from within your Profile will begin looking like: You will see a list of all of your recent transactions. You will also see your pledge information. You will also see a list of all of your repeating transactions. You may also access your information by clicking on the Give tab at the top of the screen: You can click on Giving Statement to generate a PDF document containing your giving history for a specified time frame (see instructions on the next page for more information). If you ever need to stop one of your repeating gifts, you can click on the small stop sign icon located here. Once you click on the stop sign, a window will pop up asking you to confirm that you wish to stop the repeating gift. From the Actions menu on the right, you can stop your repeating gift(s), view your giving statement, or view a list (and details) of your repeating gifts.
Generating Your Giving Statement There are two ways you can access your giving statement within GraceLINK. Option #1: Click on Giving Statement from the Financial tab of your personal profile. Option #2: Click on My giving statement from the main Give tab at the top of the screen. When you click either of these options, you will be presented with several customizable options before generating your giving statement. The screenshot below shows the settings we recommend when preparing your annual giving statement each January for tax purposes. (Tip: Please do not generate your annual statement prior to January 31st in order to ensure that all of your prior year transactions have time to post.) Though you may generate a statement using any custom parameters you choose, please use these settings when generating your annual giving statement for tax purposes.
