Introduction Introduction DXi 3.2.4 Software supports DXi6900-S disk backup systems and is not compatible with any other DXi models. Rarely, you may need perform a fresh installation of DXi 3.2.4 Software on a DXi6900-S system. Note: DXi6900-S systems are not compatible with any DXi Software version lower than 3.2.4. Checking for Software Upgrades Software upgrades allow you to update the software running on the DXi system to the latest version. Software upgrades can include new features as well as bug fixes. There is one method for upgrading DXi software: Upload a software upgrade file (Software Upgrade page) You can download a software upgrade file from the Quantum DXi6900 Service and Support Web site (http://www.quantum.com/dxi6900docs) and then manually upload it to the DXi using the Software Upgrade page. You can use this method if the DXi cannot access the Internet. The software upgrade file download requires your DXi system serial number. For more information on DXi software upgrades and to verify the current system software version, see the Software Upgrades section of your DXi User s Guide. All DXi documentation can be found under the Support menu option at http://www.quantum.com. For more information on software upgrades, see the Software Upgrades section of the DXi6900 User's Guide.
