Step 21 In order to start, the rear case should have been removed. Follow the rear case removal guide for that procedure. Step 22 Let's start. The objective of the following two steps is to remove the circuit connectors connected to the mother board. They are "clip-on" type connectors which have a black leathery coating. The connectors are located at the lower bottom left part of the "L-Shaped" motherboard. There are two connectors with the larger one overlapping the smaller one. You can disconnect them either by hand or with the ifixit tool. ifixit CC BY-NC-SA www.ifixit.com Page 13 of 24

Step 23 INSTRUCTION: Disconnect the larger connector on the top by pulling on the edge of the black coated connector. It will pop off. Step 24 INSTRUCTION: The smaller connector will become visible once the larger one is disconnected. Disconnect it also the same way as before. ifixit CC BY-NC-SA www.ifixit.com Page 14 of 24

Step 25 Objective: disconnect the white wire connected to the motherboard. The wire is visible at the upper left of the "L-shaped" Motherboard. Each end of the white wire is connected by a circular pop-on connector. Step 26 INSTRUCTION: Grab and pull up on the silver connector that is at the end of the white wire connected to the motherboard until it pops off. ifixit CC BY-NC-SA www.ifixit.com Page 15 of 24

Step 27 Objective: separate the motherboard from the rest of the phone. The motherboard is held in place by two silver clasps on the left side of the phone. Step 32 INSTRUCTION: Slowly lift up the motherboard as you would turn a page. The motherboard is still connected to the phone.''' ifixit CC BY-NC-SA www.ifixit.com Page 18 of 24

Step 33 INSTRUCTION: Use your fingertips to grab a edge of the connector and pop it off. Step 34 Conclusion: Now, you have successfully removed the motherboard.
