SYSTEM OVERVIEW PracticeWire (PWR) configuration consists of an all-in-one setup, with the CPU and monitor integrated into a single unit. The system connects to the Internet using a cellular broadband card, with a small external antenna, or via the site s internet connection. Any exposed wires are covered by surface mounted raceway, commonly referred to as Panduit. You have been furnished a site survey (attached to your dispatch email) that outlines the installation configuration for the site. You must review the site survey prior to your appointment. It is CRITICAL that you understand the equipment installation location(s) prior to beginning the installation process. Contact your field services support desk if you have any questions. If the primary office contact wishes to deviate from the site survey instructions you MUST receive approval from Patient Point BEFORE PROCEEDING. TOOL LIST Patient Point installation requires, but is not limited to, these tools: Installation instructions Site survey Charged cordless drill o 1/8 & 3/16 inch bits o P2 & P3 Phillips bits o Masonry drill bits Nut driver, deep well 3/8 or deep well 3/8 socket with 8 extension and ratchet 3/32 Allen wrench Phillips screwdrivers Stud finder Scratch awl Measuring tape Bubble level Zip Ties Masking tape Fish tape and/or pull string Standard networking tools 10-foot step ladder USB keyboard & mouse Broom & dust pan or small vacuum Digital camera or cell phone camera o Must be capable of emailing pictures CAT5 cable with RJ45 ends and crimper. INSTALLATION PROCESS OVERVIEW Check-in with primary office contact (POC) Inventory components shipped, compare to packing slip & verify correct sizes/quantity of screen(s) Prior to mounting any hardware: Test network connection (cellular or network based) and confirm configuration information Install universal sliding mount in the specified location using supplied hardware Hang 26 screen/cpu on mount rails Place power strip between mount rails & connect power to the CPU/screen Plug power strip into the nearest A/C outlet Secure excess cable behind flat screen monitor Install Panduit to cover any exposed cables Clean site of all boxes & debris (take boxes with you if no dumpster is available) POC must sign installation checklist Tech must take pictures of finished installation and send pictures and completed checklist to hiring vendor SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 4

INSTALLATION GUIDE STEP 1 SITE NOTIFICATION Check in with the primary office contact (POC) as soon as you arrive. Call your field services support desk to check in. If the POC refuses any part of the installation or wishes to change the flat screen monitor location, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY call your hiring support desk and receive approval from Patient Point. STEP 2 UNPACK & INVENTORY EQUIPMENT PANDUIT PANDUIT POWER CORD CELL ANTENNA KEYS UNIVERSAL SLIDING MOUNT EXTENSION CORD (OPTIONAL) SURGE PROTECTOR MOUNING HARDWARE CELLULAR CARD ACCESS DOOR Confirm two boxes were delivered: o All-in-one system w/ Cradlepoint o Accessory box w/ hardware Open all boxes. Review packing slip. Confirm all equipment is present & nothing is damaged. Any missing or damaged equipment must immediately be reported back to the SARCOM help desk. STEP 3 VERIFY CONNECTION TYPE AT SITE If wireless cellular connection, proceed to Step 4. If wired to site s network, proceed to Step 5. DO NOT MOUNT EQUIPMENT UNTIL STEP 7 IS COMPLETED. STEP 4 INSTALL CRADLEPOINT (CHILIN HARDWARE ONLY, MEDIAWAVE WILL HAVE CRADLEPOINT INSTALLED) DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES, MOUNT ANY HARDWARE, OR PROCEED WITH THE INSTALLATION UNTIL STEP 7 HAS BEEN COMPLETED! 1) Enable LAN/ Ethernet connection a. Login into system as Admin b. Click Start > Settings > Network Connections c. Check status of Local Area Connection (Wire Ethernet port). If disabled, right click and choose Enable SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 6

d. Power down system and remove keyboard and mouse 2) Swap antenna cable a. Unlock and remove security door on the rear of unit b. Remove the wireless USB modem (if exists) and disconnect from the antenna cable c. Using the wrench, loosen and disconnect the antenna cable from the Wilson Amplifier inside the case. The amp is blue and located just above the door. The cable on the right is for power, DO NOT DISCONNECT. d. Remove antenna cable from inside the case. Excess cable has been pushed inside the case, and if it cannot be removed, coil cable inside the case and set aside. e. Connect new antenna cable to the Wilson Amplifier. Begin threading connection by hand to ensure it is not cross threaded, then use wrench to tighten. 3) Make connections to Cradlepoint bridge a. Connect antenna cable to the power on the express card and secure with zip tie b. Connect Ethernet cable from the CradlePoint bridge to network connection on kiosk (connection on bottom of system) SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 7

c. Plug CradlePoint power adapter into the power strip and connect to power port on the bridge d. Power up the PracticeWire unit and CradlePoint Bridge e. Confirm the Power, Ethernet, Express Card, and Signal Lights are lit on the Cradlepoint bridge. If express card light is red, reseat the express card. f. Secure all other devices and cables using zip ties g. Package up USB modem (if exists) for return shipping. SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 8

Attach the cellular booster antenna by screwing it on securely. Proceed to Step 6 STEP 5 - CONNECT TO SITE S NETWORK DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES, MOUNT ANY HARDWARE, OR PROCEED WITH THE INSTALLATION UNTIL STEP 7 HAS BEEN COMPLETED! Move system to location of site s switch. Connect Ethernet jack from All in one unit to site s switch/router. If no ports are available, contact the help desk immediately. STEP 6 - CONFIRMING CONNECTIVITY OF PWR SYSTEM Connect power to All in one unit. Power on unit. After power is turned on you will see the following: o System bios o Windows XP boot screen o PracticeWire boot screen NOTE: The boot screen will be displayed for up to 10 minutes. DO NOT INSTALL THE WALL MOUNT DURING THIS TIME The PracticeWire loop will be begin playing: If the loop does not begin playing after the above sequence, contact the SARCOM Help Desk, 1-877-233-9114. STEP 7 CONFIRM CONFIGURATION INFORMATION SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 10

Once the PracticeWire program begins, press <Ctrl><Shift>T to bring up the login screen. Enter the login information. o User Name: pwradmin o Password: HANpwr09 Click OK. The technician screen appears. Confirm: o Computer Name this must match the location ID listed on your paperwork, followed by PWR. o System Time/Date Settings confirm time, date, and time zone are correct. If either setting is incorrect, contact Netkey help desk immediately. o Computer Name The computer name will be corrected remotely by the Netkey help desk. o Date/Time Settings Confirmed date/time settings. STEP 8 INSTALL THE UNIVERSAL SLIDING MOUNT Special Instructions for Corner-Mounting From the corner, measure out 3 in each direction. The template must not be aligned less than 3 from the corner. This will insure that the mount is hung at least 3 from the corner. THE MOUNT CANNOT BE HUNG LESS THAN 3 INCHES FROM A CORNER! (see diagram) General Instructions For All Mounts The flat screen monitor should be installed at a height of 6 to 7 feet or where defined in site survey. Observe staff and patient traffic patterns to be sure that nobody will hit their head on the screen. Mark the location of the Draw a line between the two Flip template to match Screen center. Installing SnapToggle toggle bolts (metal studs) Drill ½ hole. Hold metal channel flat alongside plastic straps & slide channel through hole. Pull straps until channel rests flush behind wall. Slide plastic cap along straps with other hand until flange of cap is flush with wall. Snap straps at wall by pushing up & down, snapping off straps level with flange of cap. Installing E-Z Toggle toggle bolts (drywall) DO NOT DRILL A PILOT HOLE! Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, turn E-Z Toggle into drywall until seated flush. Arrows on head indicate direction toggle clamp will open. End with arrows up & down. Install the universal sliding mount Hold mount in place & insert machine screws into the 6 holes. Use washers to increase the gripping surface area. Use a level to straighten mount before tightening screws. SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 13

STEP 9 ATTACH SCREEN TO UNIVERSAL MOUNT 1) Disconnect the keyboard, mouse, and power cord. The booster antenna may remain connected. 2) Back out security screws until they are flush. 3) Lift the flat screen monitor in place. 4) Hook the top rail. 5) Lower flat screen monitor against bottom rail. 6) Slide flat screen monitor left or right until it is aligned at the desired place. 7) Tighten the lower security screws. 4 5 7 6 STEP 10 CONNECT SURGE PROTECTOR & POWER CORD Slide surge protector along lower rail of universal mount. Plug power cord into all-in-one unit. Plug power cord into surge protector. Plug surge protector cord into the specified A/C outlet. Confirm the system boots and the PracticeWire program starts up. STEP 11 MOUNT CRADLEPOINT (IF APPLICABLE) Use zip ties to connect Cradlepoint to top bar of wall plate Orient so connections for power adapter and cable are on the end near the mounting arm and lights are visible. STEP 12 COVER ANY EXPOSED CORDS WITH PANDUIT DO NOT UNCOVER ADHESIVE BACKING! The Panduit is to be attached to the wall using ONLY SCREWS! One screw at each end of a section of Panduit is sufficient to hold it to the wall. Use a bubble level to ensure all Panduit is straight. STEP 13 SECURE ANY LOOSE CORDS USING CABLE TIES Power cords Additional equipment (e.g. Cradlepoint, antenna cables) STEP 14 ATTACH PI BOOKLET TO BRACKET Feed threaded loop through last hole on left slide of the monitor. Pull chain all the way through the threaded loop Tuck PI booklet behind the display. The horizontal bars will hold the booklet in place. STEP 15 CLEAN UP Remove plastic protection from front of monitor. Take the round key (for door on back of monitor) with you. DO NOT LEAVE ON SITE. Remove & discard all shipping boxes & leftover equipment. Sweep or vacuum up any dust/debris created SARCOM Help Desk 1-877-233-9114 Page 15

STEP 16 CHECK OUT PROCEDURE Call SARCOM Help Desk (1-877-233-9114) to check out and confirm completion of the installation. Be prepared to provide the computer name and serial number. Obtain the necessary signature from the site contact and complete the Installation Checklist. Take pictures of installed system.
