Blue means Google automatically has chosen a Google+ hashtag There can be several hashtags that you'll see in either blue or grey on any post. If for some reason, you don't like the ones that Google has chosen on your own posts, then you can just hover over and click the "X" to get rid of them. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 11
The options when posting When it comes to posting, you can send posts to: 1. individuals, 2. email addresses 3. specific circles 4. your circles - i.e. who you have in circles 5. extended circles i.e. your circles + who they have in their circles 6. public - meaning that everybody can see it. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 12
Public and Private posts Everything that is not a public post is a private post. When you share a post privately the post will only be visible to those with whom you ve shared it. To find out more: If you click on shared privately, the card flips, and you can see with whom you ve shared it. 1. In this area you will also see activity i.e. +1s, comments and shares 2. Just press button to rotate it back. Tip: When you click on the timestamp of any post, it will take you to a dedicated page for that particular post, and it has a unique URL. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 13

Looking at activity Next, let's look at the activity on a post. Now you can do this for yourself or for other people's posts. And there are three ways of finding the activity. 1. You can click on shared publicly 2. You can go to the drop down and choose view post activity, or 3. You can click in the images section of the post. They will bring you to this particular set of information. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 16
The activity on this post is showing 471 +1s, 289 reshares, and 32 comments. Then in the section below, you can see who has +1'd, commented, and shared. You can hover over, and you can add those people to circles. Or you can click on the name and visit their profile. And when you're finished, you can just flip the card back using the arrows in the upper right hand corner. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 17
Linking to a post Now looking at a post which has been shared publicly. If you click on the drop-down, you can see that you can choose to link to a post. You can copy that web address and then press done to close the box. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 18
Embed Post You can embed a Google+ post straight into the website by: 1. Clicking on the tab in the upper right, 2. Choosing 'embed on website' 3. Copying the code and adding it to your site as instructed. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 19
Google+ Ripples As soon as a post has had shares, you can view ripples. Ripples show the sharing activity on a certain post - whether it is your post, or someone elses. When a link has been shared from a website, as in the case below, as you can see here, there are clusters. The arrows show the direction of a share, and also the people have shared it onwards. If you wanted to zoom in, you can click and zoom in and drag it as well to get it to the size that I want. You can also move the ripples around. Sometimes there are a few isolated shares occurring. Now this has happened because these people have visited a website and shared directly from the website that website address or URL. This is a similar pattern as the ones you'll get when people are sharing from YouTube directly. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 20
As you can see below, you can: 1. hover over and you can add these people to my circles if you want, straight from the ripples, and 2. you can also click view post and that will take you to their share of a particular post, and you will see the comments from that share. If you scroll to the bottom of the post and click "play," you can watch how the ripples spread, and you can also see at which points influencers shared that post. If you scroll down further, you'll get statistics. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 21
Adding presentations, spreadsheets, forms etc to a Google Plus post You can use an embedded link to bring up a presentation, a Google form, a spreadsheet, a document, all of which are clickable directly from within Google+ from that post itself. This can make posts highly interactive. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 22
Adding a video to a post Let's now look at adding video to a post. Click on video and you can: 1. Search for the videos directly as if it's within YouTube, 2. You can enter a URL, 3. You can add your YouTube videos, 4. You can record a video directly from your webcam, or 5. You can upload them from your computer. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 23
Once you've selected one, you can even press play and watch it prior to deciding whether to add video. When you are ready click add video or if you want to remove it, you just click cancel. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 24
Staring an event from a post Finally, for this section on posts, if you click into the box, you can start an event by clicking the green event icon. 1. You can click through and change the theme according to the kind of even that I'm going to have. Or you can click "change theme" and either choose one from the selection on the side or you can upload one directly from my computer that I've already done. 2. You can add the title of the event, and add the time and date, as well as the location if you want. 3. You can add in the event details 4. Then you can then decide to whom to send. 5. If you click on advanced, you have more event options. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 25
The advanced options you can see below 1. From here you can decide whether guests can invite people, can add photos, or I can hide the guest list. 2. You can decide if it's just going to be a hangout event, make it an on-air event, and I can show additional fields. 3. If you wanted to have it as a hangout, where e.g. you are going to watch a YouTube video, you just drop the YouTube video in there. You can see other options here too. When you are ready, invite people and click send. Once the event is live, you can just click on the date stamp that will take me to that event page itself. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 26
From the event page: 1. You can share the event - this makes it a new post that you're sending to a new audience, or 2. You could invite more people, and even message guests based upon whether they're replied yes, no, maybe, or haven't responded yet. 3. You can leave comments on the event page before, during and after the event. This is one of the events you'll find if you click on events in the sidebar. You can also search for more events. Finally on events you have the option to plan an event or create a hangout in this section too. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 27
Returning them to the home screen, because it's like a dashboard, you'll also find the information on upcoming events here. You can choose whether you're going - yes, no, or maybe for each event. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 28

In the highlights section you will be able to expand and explore 2. You can Search your photos 3. You can look at all your photos 4. Drop down to see more options including your albums, auto backup (from mobile), images from your posts, photos in which you ve been tagged, and trash 5. You can tag and share images 6. You can also search by date. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 29

You can then select on whether you want to share it, whether you want to copy it to an album, and then choose which album you want to copy it to. And then you can copy and move it there. Or you may choose to delete the image. 2. If you click on the image, you have the options to share, which will bring it into the post box. You have the option to tag people if there are people in it. You have the option to start a slide show, which will then move through the images from that point. You also have the option to add it to an album, to download the photo, or to add auto-enhance. You can rotate or you could delete the photo. If you click the drop down near photo details (on the right hand side of the image), it will bring up whether there was a location added, and potentially a map, and the camera information that it was taken with, and the amount of views that that image has had appears at the bottom of this list. If you want to navigate through an album, you can click on right or you can click left, and if you click the central button, it will bring up the collection of images within that album. You can navigate forward just by clicking on each of the images until the end. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 30
Google Plus Albums Next we come to albums. If you click on an album, you can organize the images by clicking organize and then dragging those around. Or you can choose the order from one of these options. You can also change the name of that album, and you can upload more images to the album here. Then if you click on the "more" tab here, you can see the auto backup. Now these are images that have been taken on my phone that will be backed up straightaway into Google+. There are those from my posts. There are photos of me, which are ones that I've been tagged in. And I can approve or remove any of those tags. You can view the images that you are in with other people by clicking on view all, and then if you select an individual, it will bring up the images which we're together in. There the images that have been put into trash. www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 31

Or you can customize (see below) 4. When you're ready with the changes to your image, you can click "done editing". www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 32
A few extra things: 1. Note: if the image has already been shared then you will be editing that version. 2. If you customise you are really much more in control, 3. Click apply when you are ready www.plusyourbusiness.com Page 33
