350 watt low capacitance tvs array Description The PSLC and PSLCxxC Series of devices are low capacitance TVS arrays available in a SOT-3 package. These devices are designed to protect Ethernet data I/O ports against the damaging effects of ESD and EFT transient threats. The PSLC series are unidirectional devices used for common mode protection from line to ground. The PSLCxxC series are bidirectional devices typically used for differential mode or common mode protection on balanced lines. SOT-3 package Features Voltages range from 3.3 to 2 volts for both configurations. Each series provides ESD protection to > 25 kilovolts with a peak pulse power rating of 350 Watts for an 8/20µs waveshape. The PSLC and PSLCxxC series are designed to meet and exceed the IEC 6000--2 and IEC 6000-- requirements. applications Compatible with IEC 6000--2 (ESD): Air 5kV, Contact 8kV Compatible with IEC 6000-- (EFT): 0A, 5/50ns Compatible with IEC 6000--5 (Surge): 2A, 8/20µs - Level (Line- Gnd) & Level 2(Line-Line) 350 Watts Peak Pulse Power per Line (tp = 8/20µs) Unidirectional and Bidirectional Configurations Protects Line Low Clamping Voltage Low Capacitance: 3pF Typical RoHS Compliant REACH Compliant Ethernet - 0/00/000 Base T Cellular Phones Audio/Video Inputs FireWire, SCSI & USB Interfaces Mechanical characteristics Molded JEDEC SOT-3 Package Approximate Weight: 9 milligrams Lead-Free Pure-Tin Plating (Annealed) Solder Reflow Temperature: Pure-Tin - Sn, 00: 260-270 C 8mm Tape and Reel Per EIA Standard 8 Flammability Rating UL 9V-0 PIN CONFIGURATIONs 2 3 2 3 UNIDIRECTIONAL BIDIRECTIONAL 0509.R7 3/3 Page

Circuit connectivity is as follow: Line (R X ) is connected to pins and. Line 2 (T X ) is connected to pins 2 and 3. circuit board recommendations Circuit board layout is critical for electromagnetic compatibility protection. The following guidelines are recommended: The protection device should be placed near the input terminals or connectors, the device will divert the transient current immediately before it can be coupled into the nearby traces. The path length between the TVS device and the protected line should be minimized. All conductive loops including power and ground loops should be minimized. The transient current return path to ground should be kept as short as possible to reduce parasitic inductance. Ground planes should be used whenever possible. For multilayer PCBs, use ground vias. 0509.R7 3/3 Page 6
