Call Before You Dig/811 Combination Locks CGA has purchased combination locks for all cases. The code for all locks is 5823. Tablet Setup Remove tablet (TA) from sleeve and power on Screw in tablet stand pole (TD) to tablet base (TF). Screw second tablet stand pole (TE) into first pole (TD). Slide tablet enclosure (TG) on top of tablet stand pole (TE) Run microusb power cord (TB) down through hole in center of tablet enclosure Connect microusb power cord (TB) to tablet power adapter (TC) Insert tablet (TA) into enclosure (TG) mounted on tablet stand (and carefully plug in microusb (TB) Unlock tablet Either use the gesture unlock (the letter C, starting from the top right) Or use the backup PIN (2255811, or CALL811) Make sure you are connected to wifi (the same wifi as the CGA computer) Run "Sharing" app (located at the bottom of the tablet screen) Pin "Sharing" app To pin, press the Recents button, then press the pin icon in the lower right corner of the window thumbnail for the "Sharing" app. To unpin, press and hold the Recents and Back buttons, and you will be taken to the lock screen. When you unlock using the gesture unlock or backup PIN, the app will be displayed, but will be unpinned. From there you can press the home button to exit. Computer Setup - Hardware Space Designate and mark off a 10' x 10' square, with 1 corner next to the power supply and internet 1
Place CPU (CA) at one corner of the square. This will be the control station. CPU (CA) and one of the base stations will live here Power Plug surge protector (AH) into main power within reach of CPU (CA) Plug orange 50ft. extension cord (AG) into surge protector (AH) and run to opposite corner [Port AH5] Plug CPU edison power cable (CB) into back of computer [Port CA1], and into surge protector [Port AH3] Plug black 20ft. extension cord (AF) into surge protector (AH) [Port AH4] Run black 20ft extension cord (AF) around the edge of the square to the opposite corner Plug sharing tablet power block (TC) into 20 ft extension cord (AF) Vive Remove base station stands (VX and VY) from case and place them at opposite corners of the 10 foot square, with one being next to the CPU and surge protector Screw the base station pivot mounts (VZ and VAA) down to the base station stands (VX and VY). Secure them with the included wingnut Screw the base stations (VA and VB) to the pivot mounts (VZ and VAA). Be sure to tighten them gently, only to the point where they no longer turn freely Ensure that the base stations (VA and VB) are pointed down at a 45 degree angle toward the center of the square Connect base station power cables (VC and VD) to the backs of the base stations (VA and VB) [Ports VA1 and VA 2] [Ports VB1 and VB2] Plug one power brick into the orange 50ft. extension cord (AG) [Port VC1] and the other to the surge protector (AH) [Port AH7] Place the Vive link box (VK) atop the CPU (CA), and plug the link box power cable (VL) into the back of the link box (VK) [Port VK1] Plug the Vive link box power cable (VL) into the surge protector (AH) [Port AH6] Plug the HDMI (VV) and USB cable (VW) into the Vive link box (VK) [Ports VK2 and VK3] 2
Make sure you are NOT plugging into the orange ports on the front-side of the box. The orange side is for the Vive cables Plug the HDMI (VV) and USB cable (VW) into the back of the CPU (CA) [Ports CA2 and CA5] Make sure you are plugging the HDMI (VV) into the discrete GPU (the HDMI port closer to the bottom of the computer, flanked by Displayport ports [Port CA5] Make sure you are plugging into the HDMI port and not a DisplayPort Make sure you are plugging the USB cable (VW) into the USB port on the back labeled VR Ready [Port CA2] Plug the DisplayPort to HDMI cable (AI) from your display screen into the DisplayPort above the HDMI port [Port CA4] Plug the HDMI end of the DisplayPort to HDMI cable (AI) into your display screen Plug the keyboard dongle (AB) into one of the top, black, USB2 ports [Port CA6] Screw the wireless CPU antennas (CC and CD) onto the mounts on the back of the CPU just below the USB2 ports [Ports CC and CD] Plug the 3 cables coming from the Vive into the Vive link box [Port VK4] Turn on the keyboard (AA) using the switch on the right portion of the back of the keyboard Turn on the computer (CA) and let it boot fully Computer Setup - Software Run SteamVR Make sure all parts are displayed in green. If the controllers (VE and VF) are not on at this point, turn them on by pressing the button below the large circular touchpad Press the SteamVR title in the SteamVR window to bring up a menu and choose "Run Room Setup" Follow Room Setup directions Once room setup is complete, double click the red 811 VR icon on the desktop to begin Hardware Packing List # Item Notes 3
