4 Mediatrix as a trunking gateway to MS Lync 2010 PSTN gateway This document describes how to configure a Mediatrix gateway as a MS Lync 2010 PSTN gateway Note: This document covers SIP over TCP only
5 Adding the Default Gateway 1) Go to SIP > Gateways. 2) In the General Configuration table, set the Signaling Network to Lan1. 3) Click Apply.
6 Adding the Default Gateway Note: The Default gateway is preconfigured by default. This step will only be necessary if the Default gateway was deleted or modified. 1) Go to SIP > Gateways. 2) In the General Configuration table, set the Signaling Network to Uplink. 3) Click Apply.
7 Assigning a Specific Proxy Server to the Mediation Server 1) Go to SIP > Servers. 2) In the Default Servers table, set the Proxy Host to the IP address of the Mediation server followed with its SIP port number. 3) Click Apply.
8 Configuring Transport Protocol 1) Go to SIP > Transport. 2) In the Protocol Configuration table, do the following: a) Set UDP to Disable. b) Set TCP to Enable. c) Set TLS to Disable. 3) Click Apply.
9 Enabling Codecs 1) Go to Media > Codecs. 2) In the Codec table, set G.711 a-law and G.711 u-law to Enable. Disable the other options. 3) Click Apply.
10 Configuring DTMF Transport - Out of Band Using RTP 1) 2) 3) 4) Go to Media > Misc. In the DTMF Transport table, set the Transport Method to Out-of-Band using RTP. In the Payload Type field, type 101. Click Apply.
11 Configuring Inbound PSTN Call Handling Specific Endpoint 1) Go to Telephony > Services. 2) Set the Select Endpoint to the first port. a) Set the Endpoint Specific to Yes. b) Set the Automatic Call Activation to Enable. c) Set the Automatic Call Target to the phone number the call has to be forwarded to. d) Click Apply. e) Repeat the above steps a to d for each port separately.
12 Creating a Hunt Group Go to Call Router > Route Config. In the Hunt table, click. In the Name field, type FXO_Hunt. From the dropbox next to the Destinations field, select fxo-fxo1, fxo-fxo2, fxo-fxo3, fxo-fxo4. 5) From the dropbox next to the Causes field, select the causes pertinent to your situation. 6) Click Save. 1) 2) 3) 4)
13 Creating a New Route Before you start The task Creating a Hunt Group (p. 12) must be completed. 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) Go to Call Router > Route Config. In the Route table, click. From the dropbox next to the Sources field, select sip-default. From the dropbox next to the Destination field, select hunt-fxo_hunt. Click Save. In the Route table, click. From the dropbox next to the Sources, select all the used FXO port. In the Destination field, set sip-default. Click Save to apply the new configuration.
