LM Volume Manufacturing LM Technologies have been manufacturing Bluetooth adaptors and modules for over 10 years, with over 1 million products Between 2004 & 2011 (7 years) and 1 million units built from 2011 to 2015 4 Years 1 million total manufactured products reached in 2011 after 7 years 2015 on target to produce 850,000 this year 2015 on target to produce 850,000 this year LM Supporting the IoT During the next 3 years LM plans to deliver between 8-10 new products per annam. Our current focus is on a Wi-Fi integrated package and once releases this will form the basis for our range of combination modules and standalone adapters. Comprising off: Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0, Dual Mode and NFC. Aiming for release in Q4 2015. LM already offer a selection of Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Combination Modules and Adapters which are HCI based, allowing users to run this technology from Linux based technologies. LM have started development on both SIGFOX and Thread based modules and has joined mbed in the search for a One-Stack-Fit s-all solution that can aid cross-technology integration.
There are many companies with the ability to follow a hardware reference design, so competition with transceiver modules is often based on Support. LM offer Integrated Modules which run on our own firmware. This code dictates the functions and commands within the modules. Control of the firmware is therefore essential in assisting customers during the design-in process. LM have therefore chosen to work with mbed in order to look to a future where customers can own the firmware within the hardware we offer. ON-SITE PRODUCTION SUPPORT LM supports it s customers from design concept, hardware design, firmware-interfacing with customer code, through to on-site production support.
